Hello house, i will like to know if the visa process will be in progress without blocked account being funded. ?

Yes, you visa will be processed, but its a Pre-requisite for you to fund before picking your visa.

Once you fund your account, then you can proceed to pick your visa

Hope it helps !

Guys, there is this pdf file from DAAD on visas and residence permits. I have gone through it and it's quite enlightning as it gives an insider analysis on visa processing. I have attached it. I hope you guys will like it too smiley

BTW, guys forget about Keystone bank for this Form A thing too: I tried it a week ago but they insisted on sending money to only school accounts. Stick to the tested and trusted banks on this site. Cc: Eke40Seven

Guy, where the document nah? undecided

Hello guys. You have all been helpful just thought I should let you know every step of the way. The embassy has given me a new date of 2nd Sept. My intended day of arrival is 21st of september. Isn't this a close range. Should I write back to the embassy for a better date? I need to take the best decision at this point. Please tell what to do.

The embassy may even reply you in another 2 weeks from now, so I suggest u chill till like last week in August. If no show yet, u can then ask your school for extension.

They must have sent u an email on ur appointment day stating that u can only pick up ur visa when u have the money on ur blocked account. As soon as u have that, mail the balance or go and submit it to them. U should get ur visa in a few days if all is in order

From someone's experience here the embassy will tell you they issue dates on a first come first served basis.

That coupled with the fact that the embassy is swamped with student visa appointments I doubt they would give you an earlier date.

So my opinion is don't bother, they wouldn't change it.

If it troubles you so much ask for an enrollment deadline, a lot of people have been telling you to do this since.

I feel you should focus on getting your things(documents) and self ready for the interview, if you have funded your account or gotten your sponsorship letter (basically if everything is set) you will be fine. You can also call the alien office in where every it is you are going to so the visa issuing process will speed up.

The IBAN and Bank ID are not meant to be entered on the form A, you should state them on your debit instruction letter.

On No. 3: if you have an address in germany enter it but if not use the Deutsche bank address on the top right corner of the DB letter that was used to send your DB account number...Frankfurters. .... (that's what I used at Union bank and I received my credit notification from DB last week)
On 4 and 5, I left them blank, I believe your bank may know what to enter there.

Most importantly, ensure you write your name as the beneficiary and quote your DB account number on your instruction letter.

Peace to all.

Guy, your questions dey tire person oh! ASK YOUR SCHOOL FOR ENROLLMENT EXTENSION FIRST. IF THEY DON'T AGREE, THEN YOU CAN EXPLORE OTHER OPTIONS. But for now, QUIT BEING ON TENTERHOOKS; SOME PEOPLE NEVER EVEN TAKE EYE SEE ADMISSION LETTER!!!

3. Just have it at the back of Ur mind dat immediately after ur interview, U'll have to start packing Ur bags and be ready to get ur health insurance abd move any time u get the visa... The ticket fee will cost u alil more sha...
But follow the order, don't do number 3 b4 1 or 2...

How much is your tuition? When was your interview?
This na one chance because you can explain things away to the embassy but to the alien office? I don't know about that.

But here is what you should do. If you don't have all the fundings presently, you can reach your course coordinator and explain your situation to him/her and the financial challenge you will have to overcome paying everything once.
If he/she agrees, she/he can reach the alien office and explain the situation to them to and with her/his authority, they can sort things out. Then the mail of the confirmation will be forwarded to the embassy or sent directly by the alien office to the embassy.
That's about the only way you can go about it now. Try it and let's see.
My two cowries!!

Bro, God bless you really good. This was exactly what I did; and although it has taken 5 long weeks of 'back-and-forth' emails btw me, course coordinator, the consulate in no particular order, everything is now sorted (and I wouldn't have to pay everything no more ...but in instalments). Hope your parole is going fine. All the best!

Potsdam here we come!

entire Course fee, now these is sumting to worry about. What I think am aware of is sum skools that charge tuition fees wiuld want you to pay certain amout upfront which of course refundable upon certain conditions like evidence of visa refusal and all that..the aliens authority inthe city where u intend to skool may and maynot need to see a proof of finance or payment of ur tuition quarterly, bi annually or yearly buh I guess u can discuss that wit your skool, they r in a better position to handle thz than the Embassy. come to think of it, whats the name of the skool and wht city is it located

You captured the scenario perfectly. Thank you very much; I have since sorted it out with my course coordinator. It's the university of potsdam (in potsdam, brandenberg). Cheers man

Williamso:

IELTS is not a must. TOEFL is an alternative, likewise living/learning in an English speaking country (Nigeria).
However, this is school-dependent and some schools do not accept certain proof(s).

It's advisable to write IELTS and get a good grade as this will increase your prospects (I'm yet to come across a school that doesn't accept IELTS).

If you really really wants to study in Germany then get IELTS done and aim at 6.0 and above score, it will make things a lot easier for you

The embassy don't forward your documents to the respective foreign office without you funding your block account. So i dont know where you get this information.

Block account is one of the requirement

My interview was on the 25th June. I funded 3 weeks later and the embassy said they will forward to foreign authority after i funded.

Thats my opinion.. If I am wrong, please do correct me
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Nobody: 5:10pm On Aug 03, 2015
GUY why u dey worry, 3 weeks is more than enough. i have only 9 days between my interview and enrollment (my school said they wont extend my deadline) yet i have faith with like a mustard seed. All u have to do is grow up be a man, stop worrying and Pray. no offense.

The process normally starts before ur funding. when u add this information, they might have been done with ur case. The Ausländer Behörde then Sends a letter to the embassy in ur home country mostly likely upon receiving ur blocked account information. Student visas are not so hard to get if u have a sponsor and ur documents are genuine. They probably already got a confirmation on d condition that u provide that missing document. If u forward it u might get an email that ur visa is confirmed within 5 days. Though every case is different. I live in Germany and I have 2 siblings at the Mainz university.

that is not correct bro. I personally asked this question the day those guys came to Goethe Institute and the white woman (one of the VO at the embassy) said they'll send your application but be u would not get the visa (even if granted) until u fund
