The embassy don't forward your documents to the respective foreign office without you funding your block account. So i dont know where you get this information.

My interview was on the 25th June. I funded 3 weeks later and the embassy said they will forward to foreign authority after i funded.

Unless of course it has changed. Ur visa process starts before ur funding. When u have ur bank statement from Deutsche Bank, and u give that to the embassy, they just forward it to the Ausländer Behörde as an additional Document. So no, ur process doesn't take longer. I don't know if it changed thoughask people who are presently schooling.

No Rayhut, that is not a problem. I opened my blocked acct with a conditional admission from LMU and I attended the visa interview with an admission from KIT-Karlsruhe (because the final LMU admission came quite late). So it wouldn't hurt.

Why did you choose LMU over KIT
Just wondering since KIT is one of the TU9 universities.

The process normally starts before ur funding. when u add this information, they might have been done with ur case. The Ausländer Behörde then Sends a letter to the embassy in ur home country mostly likely upon receiving ur blocked account information. Student visas are not so hard to get if u have a sponsor and ur documents are genuine. They probably already got a confirmation on d condition that u provide that missing document. If u forward it u might get an email that ur visa is confirmed within 5 days. Though every case is different. I live in Germany and I have 2 siblings at the Mainz university.

My sponsor said he can't be able to go back there. Though he ve gone there more than 6times before he could succeed. I have a frd in north rhine westphalia, can he be able to help me correct it. Though both are not in d same state.

Remember to take the two (2) copies of the Deutsche Bank form filled and not signed. And get there very early on Wednesday. When I opened my blocked acct, I arrived the embassy by 9:30, and the popular man at the gate said I was late (even tho the deadline is 11 o clock). When you are given the slip that confirms blocked acct opening, immediately proceed to book your visa: you have no reason to wait till Thursday.

if u ready had applied for ur visa then u just have to get copies of the bank statement and stuff and take it to the embassy. Sprichst du schon ein bisschen Deutsch? Viel Glück!!

Ohh! Bro,gat a similar case on a doc.. Though i'm prepn for summer bt i do need your input.. Sent you a pm already.

IMHO you are just overworking yourself. Focus on doing other things possible to help your travelling. I can't say for now, but in our time, plenty got letters to come pick their VISA a few days after the embassy got notification of account deposit. So, if you have not done that, do so. Let everything that will work towards your travelling be off your hand. If you have not funded your account, do so. Begin to make other preparations. If possible, send the letter of account credit immediately you leave the embassy from your interview. Hope for the best. Stop worrying.

I was interviewed 5th June 2015. I funded and got funding confirmation on 17th of June 2015. This i sent immediately.Then i got no mail from them

on the 22nd of june i mailed them 2 ask if they got the funding confirmation and they replied 23rd june that they got it and my application was being processed that the permission of my future place of resident is needed before i could be issued a visa. >>>>> SO na "WAITING COMMITTEE" i dey since o .


On the 8th of july 2015 I sent them my accommodation contract (in case if na accommodation dey delay me) . Nil response.

This "WAITING COMMITTEE" is not funny o

See these things we are doing is affecting the image of this country, what if all of them accept and u didn't even show up dis year, probably because Buhari gives u an appointment or blocked account tries to ginger ur swagg.

As for this nelly guy! Supposing all the schools gives him admission, what it means is that he has denied 6 Nigerians n opportunity simply because its cheap to apply to a non-unassit school, then using Nipost makes it a sweet dream.


We have made efforts to route out ways to help our fellow nigerians. Pls less all be modest.

If you do your research well, there is no need apply for millions of schools, you will just know schools that are likely to offer u admission. Let's stop making a mockery of the process.

My advice, do your research well, know what u want to study (u can't study every thing), select 3 or 4 schools nd in a worst case scenario 5. Do your app well. That's all.

And when you make your final choice, please write back to the other schools nicely, telling them you that you appreciate their offer but you won't be joining them this time. Pls do this.

Just imagine after your application they didn't contact you to tell u if u where accepted or not! How will u feel ?

Even sometimes, if they don't notify us that they have received our apps, I notice a lot of people come here to lament.

The reason is ; so that they can give ur space to someone else who is on the waiting list. And that will put Nigerians in good light. Its wise to notify a person you have contract with that you are no longer interested , than keeping the person hanging.

Trust me, if we continue this way, every app from naija will be treated with dignity.

Halo people! I was reading through a lot of things on here. It's quite a good site. I didn't know about naira land until Early this year I think. Everybody who genuinely wishes to study will be given a visa by Gods grace. Have faith in yourselves and what u can do.
I am a resident in Germany. People might tell u such negative things about Germans most of it aren't true. In every race there are bad and good people. Germans are always willing to help even when u don't speak the language. As long as u try, they respect u. I do speak relatively good German now, thanks be to God.
I forgot to add that there also beautiful things to see in Germany if u are a nature lover. ! Just wanted to encourage everyone. I hope I succeeded!

If u have a friend or family in Germany u can ask them to call and ask if the Nigerian embassy forwarded your documents to them or what's taking so long. Normally it shouldn't take more than 4-6 weeks of all is in order. I don't know why this Lagos guys always delay things these days!
I will also try to help u find the office in ur city.

All you have to do now is prepare for your interview. At the end of it, send the embassy reminders stating the deadline for enrollment. Like some contributors said, apply for an extension if possible, if not granted, you can forward that to the embassy as proof of a need for them to respond your case urgently.

Book your flight ticket also.
