While he may seem brave,he needs to be very careful. People may try to kill him just to make his death look supernatural or strange.

I do not support attacking other peoples faith like this. As long as they have not broken the law they need not be attacked. And even if they did, this is uncalled for unless in self defence. Even self defence has its limits too.

The last time I checked, Nigerians are entitled to freedom of worship.

How dare you burn other persons god because u think ur own god is supreme?

If u all can condemn this act, please I don't want anyone to scream fowl when a muslim burns a church.

@least, we have christian religion, islamic religion and traditional religion as three major religions in Nigeria.

If u think ur own god is supreme, please worship it/him, but don't destroy other peoples own.

If u think someone is bewitching u using his/her own god, please, go to ur own god and get power to protect urself from those other peoples gods.

Whatever I said, I said as a law abiding citizen. Who knows the right from wrong, and not a mofo that was blinded by religious jargons.

Btw, I am a good christian, I try as much as possible to do what is right, I try to always obey the law of the land.

This is the role of Christianity in Africa. To destroy African beliefs, and replace it with empty promises of an afterlife.

This is exactly the conversation I was having with a colleague, some people are custodians of traditions and perpetuate harm to people feigning it to be supernatural

In my opinion, he should not have burned the shrine.

When our churches are burned, we (rightly) condemn the perpetrators. What stops us from condemning this hostile act by a Christian towards another religion.?

Nigerians need to be tolerant. This is not right.

It's obvious that the community must have agreed to this. Unlike islam, Christianity is not by force.

I think the pastor overstepped his boundaries. He feels the shrine is the source of problems to the community, boko haram holds a similar view that the churches and western education is the source of problems facing nigeria.
So both from my own view are on the same path.
NNE I am also from Uga.

Well.....next time Islamic fundamentalists burn down a church.....I hope you will support the Police not prosecuting them.

As Christians.....we should be tolerant, even as we ask others to be tolerant.

I'm a believer in Christ just like you, but this isn't what Christ preached. Christ is love, tolerance and wisdom.
You can't just go to a shrine or whatever and burn it down for any reason. There are better ways of winning souls for the Kingdom, and this is definitely not one of them.

Don't you think that the people that worship at the shrine will think Christ followers are brutes and terrorists? Oh, don't tell me you don't know that what the 'pastor' did is an act of terrorism. I hope you've never condemned BH activities.

For sanity's sake, it is best to leave what people hold holy to dem, whether or not it makes sense to you.
If a return attack is carried out by the other sect, now you will tag it as religious crisis ... that should not even happen if sleeping dogs were allowed to lay.
The battle shd have been spiritual not physical IMO undecided undecided
