King of the North!

PMB should then be addressed thus:
Mohamadu Buhari of the house of Daura,
First of his name.
King of the Fulanis and Hausa herdsmen.
Protector of the north and
Lord of the sharia kingdoms.

it is a pity some are still self deceiving just to feel right with the scam apc/buhari. So competence is now a northern exclusivity. If merit and performance are the yardsticks buhari is not d most qualified to be president neither will he find enuff people to form a cabinet from amongst his north on national merit! Call a spade a spade buhari is narrow and it is wrong. Anyway, in the fullness of time the citizens disillusion will catch up with him. Let the few sycophants and praise singers keep shouting Sai Buhari to high heavens reality doesn't lie!

He is the president and he has the right to choose his team, no matter where they are from.

Is electricity improving? Yes
Are refineries working? Yes
Is national reserve increasing? Yes
Is anti-corruption war on track? Yes
Is the body language against corruption? Yes

If all his appointments so far achieved that, carry go Baba.

The last king of the North(Sarduana) was butchered like a dog in his palace. The long hand of 'Southern Magic' caught up with Abacha.
Buhari should tread carefully, messing with the South can be quite damaging to your health and well being.

Let the Game of thrones continue!

What then happened next after the 'butchering' in the palace?

You can only judge him when the people that he appoints perform below par.

Competency is more important than ethnicity and religion. I am waiting for one year to judge his appointments on competency.

while I agree with you, I just want to butress the fact that there equally competent people down south. Dora, Adesina all come to mind when we are looking for competency they are southerners that were exemplary in their ministries. Statistics confirm that more competency and technicalities know how is concentrated in the South. I am not after religion and ethnicity but the balancing of appointments across the nation. Truth be told, his appointment are obviously lopsided. Buhari already has an history of tyranny and tribalism.

I quite agree with you either.

Will I have a competent but corrupt Stealer Oduah or Tafa Balogun or Alams at the expense of a competent but not corrupt Sanni?

I care less about region and ethnicity
Appointments will not benefit all of us individually and directly, but the dividend of appointing competent people will trickle down to all whether directly or indirectly.

corruption has been Nigeria's undoing and is not limited to the South, just like Oduah and Tafa, we also have the Salisu Buhari's and Farook Lawans and even El Rufai during OBJ's time. Is Buhari saying he can only find honest and competent people in the North alone. You might not care about the lopsided appointments but majority do and this can disturb the polity and their trust for and cooperation with Buhari. Even APC is appalled not to talk of Nigerians with no particular party affiliation.

I could not agree less.

We cannot keep doing the same thing, in the same way and expecting different results.

For me, competency should take preeminence over ethnicity, religion and zone.

I agree completely with your points however, continous appointment from the North is passing a message to the other parts of the country which is Buhari cannot find honest people in the South. Competency is not in doubt obviously. I put it across to you can you honestly say Southerners are the most dishonest in Nigeria which warrants Buhari's distrust. Buhari should spread his dragnet beyond his close pals and CPC faithfuls, all Nigerians voted him in.

He can even pick people from Daura as his cabinet members, some of us do not give a hoot.

What we want is performance and good governance.

Appointment should not be by ethnicity zones or religion. It should strictly be based on merit and competency.

and what has buhari done to achieve those improvements? Be objective and stop stealing GEj's glory. Buhari himself on NTA has said he had nothing to do with the improvements. The NERC has issued press statement stating clearly that it was the work of previous administration painfully being undertaken that resulted in the improvement. Body language don't deliver results rather it will lead to slap!
