I am not tribalistic. But I can swear, from my own encounter with them in the work place, that you must be a Yoru.ba man. They are the pple who view issues in the twisted way u do.

So back to the topic. Right thinking pple have said it all. Keep envy, ego and jealousy aside. Just do the job u were hired and being paid to do.
God will surely uplift and reward u in due time.

Incredible how Nigerians must first excuse themselves before making tribalistic comments. How do you guys do it!!??
u can go thru my threads if u like. I don't make bigoted tribalistic comments.
I specifically pointed out that my opinion on his tribe was derived from personal experience(s) I had while working with my beloved Yoruba pple. I don't hate them for it. To me, it has become a way of life with them. I simply find it amusing.

You have said you don't know me. That's why I won't hurl insults at me. Do you know the nature of the gang-up against me in that place? If I'm not spiritual, do you think I'll be alive today? Your childish reasoning stinks to the high heavens.
For bringing the spiritual angle into this I can sense your mindset already: enemies all around you, both physical and spiritual. Yet you're the one bellyaching over someone's official car. I daresay you're the 'spiritual enemy' to that manager and if I had a clue about where you work I'll let them read this and put you in your proper place.

I guess several people here have spare time to advise an overgrown boy "who does not know and does not know that he does not know and does not want to know what he does not know".

As for me, I can only call him a f00l and move on to the next topic on FP. undecided

This has to take the cake in self hype. Yhu see yhurself as the manager okwa ya? Reality check, Yhu are NOT the manager. Yhu are merely, despite all yhur self hype, an assistant. Learn to live with it and hope yhur fortunes improve or take a walk, be yhur own boss and ride yhur own official car. Nonsense!

When did it become OK to use "yhu" "yhur" instead of "you" and "your" ?.....and please don't say you're abbreviating because they're practically the same number of letters... please stop!

If i told u how i started at my company ehn. In less than 5months i rose from underground staff to managerial staff just because of humility.

For an organisation such as that which is small trust me, anything can happen if u have good manners.

U never can tell, dis manager u envy so much for some reasons can resign, if u are of good behaviour as being d second in line. U may be giving d position tentatively before u know it ur tild to permanent d position. Thats how people grow, u dont know his story so, dnt b jealous.

if u were in his shoes how will u feel.considering he is a manager in name only

And even he must suspect that his days there as manager are numbered

OP there is no need to protest of even show discontent in your body language, work with the manger and bring him on board so he can learn more and he can be useful to you and the firm more in the future.

If you protest don't mention the car given your boss, just show you have been diligences in your duties and have helped the business make a profit

Op, as you move up in certain coys, your work load reduces, and you tend to do more of supervisory role. Note that you forgot to tell us that the manager in question is your supervisor. You are still an errand boy with assistant manager title. Wait for your time. Ma binu ori.

Your post is the reason why you should never be made a manager in that place. Let me explain something to you. Early this year,I got involved with an elderly man who is also in my line of biz. I bought a car from him last year and when I decided to move my biz to ikeja this year,I spoke to him about having a partnership. All I'd do will be to move my cars over to the lot he uses(he lied to me that he was the one in charge of the lot but I later found out he was a mere squatter who didn't even have a single car to himself for sale). When he needs any car,he'd call me and when we go out,he'd tell people I'm his boy or P.A and I'd keep quiet about it just so the biz can work. I realized he was having ego problem but managed him and overlooked it. We however fell out, when he started scheming to take over my importer and I later discovered he was a truck load of shit(always claiming what he doesn't have and knowing people he doesn't know). Now,if you'd seen me with him and his rickety car that I wouldn't be caught dead driving, you'd wonder how I managed to be his P.A. Even though I had more contacts and connects to notable auto dealers than him,I didn't put all that into consideration when dealing with him. I accepted his so called P.A title, just so biz can go on. Any sane person seeing us will definitely know I'm not his P.A.

What am I saying to you here? Yes,you are more skilled in that area than he is but you're the assistant for a reason. So long as the company's biz is moving on well, and your salaries and entitlements are being paid to you,I see no reason why you should be bothered about this. Moreso,it's too early for you to start thinking like this.

You are about to lose your job due to not minding your business.

Eni ti o ba se bi alabaru lo yingbo ko le se bi ade gboro lo ja oba.

As a business owner I can replace operations (animal husbandry or what you call it) every year the University throws a few more like you out there.

But I cannot replace trust, loyalty whether it read yoruba in University or even uneducated.

The real MVP is he who has been placed with the responsibility of money.

LISTEN: The assistant manager does the work - the manager takes the glory. No 1 law of power is to NEVER upstage the master.

My advise to you will be to make your boss (the manager) look good that is your primary assignment to protect your job.

Wait for your turn on your next job - quit covetousness.

Oh boy who be this dude? Guy you are a functional manager, while your boss is the general manager. Every good business needs someone like you as an assistant manager and one like your boss to sit on your shitty head for the smooth running of the business. And i think in employing someone with a political science background as general manager shows the CEO head dey there. My advise to you is to be grateful, learn humility and start developing your self in the area of business management so that one day if God willing you can be able to look at life from a wholistic point of view than the myopic lens of animal husbandry google you presently have on. Goodday!

I was recently employed in a farm as an assistant manager. I studied animal production and health. The manager studied political science. Since the resumption at the farm, I direct all activities ranging from feed formulation in the feedmill, animal treatments and handling, biosecurity measure, arable farming etc. The management hold meetings with me alone concerning farm reports, feed managements, sales and anything that concerns the farm's progress. They specifically hired me 'cause animal farming is my field. Note that I'm an expert in animal production and health, agronomy, and agricultural economics. So, I see myself as the manager, cause the only thing the manager does is withdrawing money in the banks to procure farm inputs as a result of decisions reached by me and the management. The manager is using official car, but I'm using nothing. I have no problem with him using the car, but I see it as an insult on my person. Should I protest?

The 'gang up against you,' is most likely something you made up in your mind.

If you aren't satisfied with your job or your boss, make a complaint to the appropriate person(s). If you're still not, then resign your appointment.

You really need to work on the way you think and relate with others.
