Well, better late than never......*smiles*

Great and awesome job u're doing here guys..... I'm totally impressed.

Sir Terzurum5 and Sir Orkpekyandega........... You guys are the bomb!!! Well done!!! *smiles* #IAmLovingThis
Wao! Sir you most welcome to this project, this project has been on right from the days of the fifa U20 World Cup. It was conceived the day there was a heated argument about Super Eagles, especially about the former Coach Stephen Keshi, the U20 thread was almost derailed. That was when the thought of embarking on this beautiful journey came to mind.

Am surprised you are seen it for the first time, it has always been there. At times it disappears from the front pages because I find it difficult to posts regularly due to all these ban of a thing very common in the sports section. You know now. We wey get stuborn head, wey we de litter our posts for every where. I no de fit sidon 4 one place ooo.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!
All the same kudos to those who have kept the hope of the thread alive.
Once more thanks.

I personally think that u are biased.
How on earth will a player dare question a decision of a coach on who to Captain the team?
Coaches decides who plays, who captains, cos he is the boss. Jose mourinho benched cassilas and striped him of the captaincy, notting happened..
At a time between terry and Wayne bridge saga, capello striped terry of his captaincy, heavens didn't fall.
So why the he'll should he cry a wolf over the decision of the NFF and olive, besides reporting late on camp. 101caps and then?
Isn't he been paid bonuses, is somebody not his boss?

At ur place of work do u question ur boss?

ABEGI, SAVE UR RANT FOR ANOTHER DAY.
I am no fan of undisciplined and insubordination.
You know he lost his mum, ordinarily V. Enyeama doesn't report late to camp.
You don't expect me to begin to run here and there after few days of my mum's burial in the name of national engagements. Even his club Lille gave him two good days for the burial, then why can't we understand with him in this trying moments of his. He is not a stuborn player the way the media wants us to believe. Even when he has clashes with the Coaches/NFF, it was always about the team and not just for himself. To me, he has been a good captain.
Now about the captaincy stuff. If I may ask, what is the rasionale behind Coach Stephen Keshi dropping V. Enyeama?
What offence has he committed to warrant such action. If Oliseh were not acting a scrip, why can't he know that that singulat act of his will affect the whole team? Let him ask Siaone or Keshi what it means to keep fighting players at the expense of the overall objective. And to remember that Oliseh was always criticising Stephen Keshi on player's anger management, why he hasn't done better is a mess. Oliseh should apply diplomacy to earn his players' respect or else fall just like Siaone and Keshi did. I don't pray for that though.

OK, I heard they have settled the rift..
So, let's hope all is settled and didn't affect the team.

But my stance is whether great or mediocre, small or big, everybody is equal. Though some senior players should be giving their maximum.

Oshaniwa not troubled by Eagles snub

Eagles defender Oshaniwa
Juwon Oshaniwa has told AfricanFootball.com that he is not bothered that he is being overlooked by Eagles new coach Sunday Oliseh despite doing well at his Scottish club.
The former FC Ashdod of Israel player said he is looking forward to getting back to Eagles, but he is not losing sleep as that is not the case now.
"After winning the Nation Cup in 2013 and featured in all in the World Cup matches in 2014 for a great nation, Nigeria, I do not understand or see reason why I should be bothered that I am not back in the team yet,” he told AfricanFootball.com
"The coach is just settling down, so he has be given time and more so to give other Nigerian players out there a sense of belonging to see what they can offer.
"The most important thing now is that I am doing well in my club.
"And Nigeria is my country, any day, anytime I am always ready to wear the green and white jersey whenever I am called up."

AF Nigeria 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers Nigeria
EXCLUSIVE: Enyeama in face-off with Oliseh over Ahmed Musa captaincy

Enyeama - No longer Eagles captain
Vincent Enyeama has had a major fall-out with coach Sunday Oliseh after he was informed Ahmed Musa is now the captain of the Super Eagles, AfricanFootball.com can exclusively report.
According to sources close to the Eagles in Belgium, Enyeama and Oliseh went at each other on Tuesday night after the Eagles coach informed him he was no longer team captain and as such he should now share a room with another player.
Stripping of the captaincy from the Lille goalkeeper may not be unconnected with events in June when he tore a query issued him by the NFF general secretary after his provocative comments about the safety of the northern Nigerian town of Kaduna to stage an AFCON qualifier against Chad.
A committee later moved to beat Enyeama back in line by recommending he be banned from the team and removed as captain.
He will later stay away from an AFCON qualifier in Tanzania and a friendly against Niger following the death of his mother.
However, on Tuesday, pent up anger and frustration from the whole drama in Kaduna took another disturbing turn when 101-capped Enyeama was informed he was no longer captain.
“It was a nasty and ugly scene as Enyeama and Oliseh insulted the life out of each other that at a time it looked like security would have to be called up,” a source informed AfricanFootball.com
Several senior players led by Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi tried to stop Enyeama from quitting the team’s camp in Belgium thereafter.
And one of the official Twitter handles of the NFF simply reported at the heat of the row – “It’s true there was a little misunderstanding in the camp of @NGSuperEagles, but the matter has been resolved. Enyeama stays in camp.”

Oliseh: Ahmed Musa is my captain

Ahmed Musa is Eagles new skipper
by Samm Audu
Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh has announced his new captain is Ahmed Musa because he is building the Super Eagles for the future.
There was a major fall-out between Oliseh and Vincent Enyeama as concerns the Eagles captaincy on Tuesday night in Belgium.
However, Oliseh insisted he has named CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa as the Eagles new skipper.
“There is no captain tussle - Nigeria going forward, I need a player who is regular in the team and it is Ahmed Musa, who did a great job in Tanzania under very difficult circumstances,” he said in a radio interview Wednesday morning.
“He is the captain of the team, not somebody who is thinking of retirement.
“A captain has to lead by example. We are not here to build stars.
“If you don’t conform to what I am trying to do, we will be friends, but we will be friends from afar.”
He added: “There has been a new government and the President has picked new ministers. And that is what I have also done.”
Ahmed Musa made his Eagles debut against Madagascar in Calabar in 2011 and he first captained the team in a friendly against South Africa in March.

AF 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers - Africa Tanzania
Malawi face an uphill battle in Tanzania

Thuso Phala of South African battles Robert Nga'mbi of Malawi
The Flames of Malawi are set to get their 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers underway on Wednesday as they travel to Tanzania hoping to get a win.
Malawi will hope to do well during the qualifiers en route to Russia, but to do well they must ensure they have a bright start against the tough Taifa Stars team.
Led by Ernest Mtawali and Nzazwirwimo Ramadhan, the team will be in high confidence following the news that the technical team has been handed new contracts.
On the other hand, the duo has led the team to one win and a 2-2 draw since they took over in August - a win over Uganda in a friendly and drew against Isihlangu Somnikati of Swaziland in the 2017 AFCON Qualifiers.
Despite media reports suggesting a rift between Mtawali and his senior players, he has called on the experience of in-form Platinum Stars midfielder Robert Ng’ambi, as well as the Bloemfontein Celtic forward Frank Mhango.
Mtawali is aware that a win is the ultimate prize, however, facing the Taifa Stars at home will not be an easy task.
The hosts will be aiming at using their home advantage.
However, they have one loss to Libya in their friendly played back in August and their 0-0 draw against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in September during the AFCON qualifiers could motivate them to ensure Malawi go home empty handed.
Coach Charles Makwasa will bank on the experience of his striker, TP Mazembe’s Thomas Ulimwengu who gave Sunday Oliseh’s men a run for their money in Dar es Salaam.
On the other hand, Free State Stars midfielder Mrisho Ngassa and goalkeeper Ali Mustapha Mtinge will also be key players for the hosts on the day.
The match is set to get underway at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday at 13:00.

Some Folks on this thread are being sentiment and biased with their respective views and opinions on the Captaincy saga.
When Dunga is reappointed as the Brazil's Coach, he stripped Thiago Silva of Captaincy and replaced him with a young Lad in Neymar. Does it destabilize the Team? Silva still remains a regular and committed Member of the Team till date!
Enyeama is no more a committed Player to the Team, and his recent actions could confirm the stance. If Musa is made the Captain, he deserves it than any other Senior Players in the Team. Is it Mikel you wanna make the Captain?!
Let's be fair with our views as regard to the issue.

And @thenff handle.....

Alongside Alampasu, Kingsley Madu (As trencin) and Wilfred Ndidi (KRC Genk) have been given late call-ups to the Super Eagles squad for the friendlies.

Meanwhile, The 6 home-based players (Chima Akas, Austin Oboroakpo, Prince Aggreh, Paul Onobi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, and Femi Thomas) have officially directed by Oliseh to join the other 19 home-based players preparing for the CHAN Qualifiers double header against Burkina faso.

I have no problems with Musa being made captain even I think it's kinda weird. But hey! Weird is good sometimes....*winks*

My problem lie with how Oliseh went about it. He should have told Enyeama in private before going public.

Look, my views are fully expressed in Safarigirl's latest sports thread dedicated to this matter. Maybe you can go take a look. *smiles*

Meanwhile, Sir Adeyemi, it's been a while..... Hope you're doing good... Ok... Bye now.

isn't it always easy to pull out the sentimental BS card, so we shouldn't criticise Musa's (s)election cuz he's a Northerner? Does Musa look like a leader to you? You're the one bringing in tribe, no one else has brought it in

Of course he is. Sir Ade, Neymar is THE BEST PLAYER IN THE BRAZIL SQUAD. HE'S THE ONE THE TEAM TURNS TO FOR INSPIRATION IN BIG MATCHES.
That's basically why no dust was raised when Tiago silva was stripped of captaincy.

Same goes for Lionel Messi and Argentina when Mascherano was stripped.

But in Musa's case, I have to admit it, THIS ISN'T THE CASE. He's not the best player. He's not the player we look to for inspiration in BIG MATCHES. THIS IS THE TRUTH. THAT'S PART OF WHY I FIND HIS APPOINTMENT AS 'SUBSTANTIVE' CAPTAIN WEIRD.

But hey! I really got no problem with Musa aiiit. The issue here and right now is The attitude and demeanor of the other players(the followership) and Oliseh's authority as coach (this is under threat).

If we go by all these analogies then we should not have a captain aside Enyeama .... We don't really have a game winner , a player with good charisma , that can turn d table around in a difficult match .

I personally am not a fan of how things took place but i can agree Ahmed Musa being named captain is not the worst decision. Take aside the way it was handled you could say it was a good move.
First of all Musa isn't exactly "old suya" the boy has put together some good games. This year he got CSKA into the Champions League. I saw the deciding game and it was really all thanks to Musa that they won. His form does drop especially when he plays in Africa so maybe with the extra responsibility he will focus more and play better. We really need him at his best and Enyeama will save goals regardless, a band won't make or break him. Plus most coaches prefer outfield players to be captains so they can influence the referee. Jose also wanted an outfield captain at real Madrid instead of Castillas.
As long as Enyeama is playing we still have a chance.

How I wish you could kindly go and remove or better still modify your post to something else, because you are the one bringing it. One thing i love Nigerians is that, we don't even care to know religion when it comes to sports (football in particular). When a player scores and goes ahead to chant his religious ritual chants or goes to praise his own God in his own way, we still celebrate with the person because he/she has brought joy or moments of happiness to us. So just leave that line please. The circumstances surrounding Enyeama's Captaincy removal was just timed wrongly.

Thanks for your observation, and definitely gonna heed to your advice. But to be candid, I am disappointed with many comments against his selection!
Musa is a dedicated and committed Super Eagles Player and I see nothing wrong with his selection. Some said the case of Silva/Neymar is different. The question is how? The same Neymar that cost Brazil the chance of lifting Copa America with his immaturity?!
As I said earlier, gonna modify my post as a reasonable and responsible Nigerian.

As I said earlier, gonna modify my post as a reasonable and responsible Nigerian.
Thanks 4 ur maturity
