I think the 'role' that he will play is to train with other comrade players before the inception of the match, and help motivate team from bench against Man Utd grin

I don't think he will be allowed to feature in that match.
No biased hallucinations please
you've apparently not watched enough City games if you think Kelechi won't feature where Bony is the sole striker

M not overriding or abnegating the privileges of his participation in the match. But such chance might prevail only when there is a complusive pressure for such.

Yes, I seldomly follow their games because I don't maintain any explicit affinity with them, but I can attest of watching some their assorted highlights.

[b]Man City: How Kelechi Iheanacho is being prepared for greatness by Gael Clichy

When your middle name is ‘Promise’ it could be argued that you are destined to go far.

But for Kelechi Iheanacho it is all about hard work - and making his sceptical dad proud.

The Manchester City youngster burst onto the scene as part of Nigeria’s Under-17 World Cup finalists in 2013 - and came to even wider notice when his first senior goal for the Blues earned a last-gasp win at Crystal Palace last month.

The 19-year-old is the brightest gem to have been polished by the club’s youth development system - but Iheanacho isn’t content to stop there.

He wants to be a ‘great’ and, with a combination of explosive skill and driven determination - plus a little help from the likes of chief cheerleader Gael Clichy - it is hard to argue against him doing so.

“It’s a dream come true for to play at this level,” he said. “There is enough confidence given to me from the manager and team.

“I’m hoping to be part of the great things that happen to this team. I hope to be one of the great players - it’s my dream to be a great player in this team.”

The win a Palace is a an early highlight following his promotion to the first-team squad this season.

“It was a great moment scoring at an away game and we needed a win,” he added in an interview with the club’s website.

“You can see from the celebration I was very happy.”

Despite the fact that he cuts a self-assured figure, Iheanacho values a star-studded cast of supporters, especially Clichy.

“They give me confidence, many of them - Yaya, Sergio, Silva, Samir, Gael Clichy as well - he encourages me every time to keep going, keep going, keep chasing the defenders,” he said.

“I wasn’t happy when he was injured so I’m hoping for him to recover quick to give me more confidence.

“I really love them and I’m happy to work with them.”

Iheanacho has already overcome much to achieve what he has done so far - something he puts down stubborness.

“It’s really hard over there in my country, it’s really hard in Africa,” he said.

“I started playing football when I was a kid. I love football but things that aren’t footballs, I played with as well. Even if I was walking in the road, I’d play with stones because I love football.

“My parents didn’t want be to play football, they wanted me to go to school and study my books but I was so stubborn.

“I represented my state and then Nigeria Under-15 and under-18s, then we represented Nigeria at the Under-17 World Cup. I couldn’t believe that. The head coach came he gave me confidence to play so I started playing and playing well.

“That’s how I started and my father is proud of me now. Everywhere he goes they just point at him and say look at Kelechi’s father.”

I hope this interview helps people free Manu Garba a little because it is clear the boy credits part of his success to him.

I also credit Manu for Nacho's discovery ok. Previous pages will reveal so.

On one hand Manu gave Nigeria a fine generation of youngsters BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, he allowed "whatever anyone terms it" to ruin the team's chances at NZ.

Case closed!!!!!! Haba!

I guess you are so focused on being right that you fail to see that i already acknowledged that almost every thing that went on in New Zealand was bad. I mean it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Manu was at fault. He was the captain of the ship. I still say who cares about one tournament the man is a national hero and it is thanks to him that Nigeria has such a bright future and that was what was pointed out in the article. People have been killing this man what if he was telling the truth? What if Iheanacho wasn't fit enough? All we saw was him playing at city as a top striker with little defensive duties and then playing at the world cup was a level up in competition. What if he was right? All people do is insult this man saying he took bribes and all that nonsense. Were is the proof? None. If i can still love and cheer for Sunday Oliseh after the mess he caused i can and should still wish Manu Garba the best.

Sia1 should not waste time to put Moses Simon on this list for the Olympic qualifier , the guy has got what it' takes to unlock any stubborn defense .
The problem is not really with Siaone, but Moses Simon's Club. Will they release him? Is the tournament on FIFA Calander?
Am so sure, its for this reason that Siaone may still go with majority of his home boys.

Well done guys for keeping the thread busy. My original moniker is currently on antispam bot ban. This has been so frequent for some days now. Any time i post a lenghty write-up I get a ban. Mayb dey want me to comment less or join safarigirl in ghostmode.

I jst did a write up on Simon Moses' last night's performance, comparing him with Ahmed Musa and Victor Moses.Ahmed Musa's position is threatened for d first time in his Super Eagles' career. The only things that will keep Musa in dat team are:
1. Captaincy
2. If Oliseh decides nt to invite Victor Moses
3. Quota system. grin

Simon Moses is a better version of Ahmed Musa. Simon has speed, dribbling skills, good positional Sense, excellent first touches, good eye for goal and very importantly also d stamina to keep running at defenders for 90mins! shocked
Imagine if d 2 Moses' play from d wings and Ighalo hu is a fast paced striker play centre forward.

Good one bro , Simon has so much to offer .... And he's still very young ,funny enough , there is Oghnekaro Etebor in that wing too , and 2 others , all of them can play from the left wing . I foresee the under 23 team becoming the indomitable team soon .

I think victor has developed apathy for the National team by repeatedly failling to honor the recent call-ups. he is now a mudslinger to his own staunching disposition and reputation with his indifferent mindset.

I am greatful we now have other stupendous replacement for him. No one can care about his absenteeism anymore.

Bro , I don't think so ....Moses had a minor knock and he did informed the coach officially about it ....let's just accept him. With his present form and skills Oliseh will be left wit so many options in the wing and I wish to see the 3 wingers on the pitch , either simon or victor Moses playing the free role , let enjoy fast counter attack for the first time in d super eagles .
