Nigeria as a country need restructuring, even the British, US knew that Nigeria will break up one day. UK has 4 countries in it, eg Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, then ask yourself why they cannot be one country like Nigeria, USA has all it states operating as a semi independent country, immigration law in Texas is not the same with California, China has Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet and Macau as part of China which are all semi independent, without confederation in Nigeria there will be no peace, Nigeria need to go back to Aburi peace accord, Nigeria will never be a progressive country because Nigeria is made up of irreconcilable entities that cannot align, Nigeria is supposed to be made up of 5 countries eg Arewa, Biafra, Midland, Oduduwa and Niger Delta Republic, under confederation just like UK, China, Netherlands etc, Nigeria need this structure for peace to reign.

I am not arguing against the fact that Nigeria needs to be broken up ... BUT you using an example of the United States to support your claim that breaking up will help Nigeria. If you are using the American states as a point of reference then the argument should be for Nigeria should remain united and not broken up. The US states do not have the tribalism, East, West North crap issues of Nigeria and work together relatively harmoniously. Immigration laws are essentially uniform across all states as immigration is a national issue like marriage equality laws etc. If you are going to propose breaking up of Nigeria, using the US is a totally incorrect example and that is what you did in your original post ...... here .
Get this straight. The states in the US are not independent or semi-independent .... they may have some nuances in the administrations of some laws but all of them adhere to the federal law and US constitution .. hence the name united states and not "semi-independent states of America".
