@babyisUS,
I did not get any email like that and I do not know anyone who has but if you are looking for a glimmer of hope, here is one: they do not have enough reasons to turn down your visa and EEA family permit is not supposed to take more that is it 2 or 3 weeks, I can't remember, hence their apology for taking more than the normal time.
I remember telling you it won't take too long, for whatever reason, yours is taking time but I will advice you stay positive. I am staying positive for you.
Cheers

Hey dearie, thanks for your comforting words. Today actually makes it 2 weeks since I submitted. I don't know if it's becos my hubby recently moved from Netherlands to UK last year, so they probably wanna do a thorough check.. his place of work hasn't been contacted yet in UK, so I don't really know... cant really tell why the delay... I have searched some other forums outside NL and some people claim they got such mails and we're later granted visas, others say they were refused, although they were given reasons for refusal ranging from finances to some sort of documents not submitted!
I am gonna try and be positive because everything I filled ans submitted are genuine and enough for a visa approval, to the best of my knowledge at least...
Thanks for staying positive for me...

Please @Justwise and other gurus... what does it mean when you get a mail saying Unfortunately, the processing of your application has been non-straightforward and we have been unable to resolve your application within these customer service targets.
Does this mean the visa will be refused at the long run? Please anyone ever gotten this and still granted visa? I need any glimmer of hope now am so worried getting this email.... I applied for EEA family permit visa

Please dont panic this is a standard email they send if they wont be able to process your application within the specified time.

Ive seen other EEA applicants receive this email too

I'm already looking into relocating to Ireland and how i go about it, even if hubby gets his visa i will talk to him as will be nice to eventually both settle somewhere different.

i guess I'm also looking into a back up plan, as I know the UK immigration are very tough and refuse on minimal things sometimes.

I wish i knew about this last September when i was made redundant, it would have saved so much hassle as i was living with my father no debts lol, had savings which was well enough to start up home in say Ireland.

I am just worried and anxious to the point im not even sleeping sad

@ Portsmouth86, don't worry the mode will change, like mine change on the 3rd working day of biometric, so since u did urs on Friday, it should change today, just relax cos this process takes time and I have been waiting for a decision since Sept 15 that I submitted, even email them to know if they got everything and mine supporting documents. Got a reply back like a week after saying yes
Hope it's solves ur worries
Stay blessed

Don't panic dear.. I don't know why I have so much faith in your application being granted... soon as as I saw Ll the documents you packaged and sent. I just said to myself, yes, they wouldn't think twice in granting your hubby visa... just keep your faith strong, and trust that all will be fine...

For me I wish I had not received that "non-straightforward " email from Administrative review , Abuja...since that day I haven't slept much and av been somewhat unsettled.. I am leaning in my hubby's faith because he's so sure everything will work out fine.... this anxiety is too much...
Lord, help us..

Ireland immigration is not as tough as UK's? Oh wow... well, it's never too late to kick-start that relocation plan. .. if your mind is made up, then go ahead.. but just hand in there a little and hope for the best outcome of your hubby's visa... I believe it will end in praise.
Am as anxious as well... am just trying to get my mind off it and have other things occupy my mind...pleasant things that is... this distance is killing me..

Southern Ireland (ROI) is under Irish/EU law not UK, so the Surinder Singh option can be done via Ireland, thats why i mentioned it since its closest to UK and i could drive there on a ferry smiley

Im saving for it just in case, no matter how prepared you try to be, no one can ever predict the immigration, lets just pray we all get a nice puppet handling our applications and a decicion is made grin

There is no need to explain much tbh, they already have in their records the reason why you got rejected. But include a copy of the rejection letter when applying.

Hi,
Please I would like to enquire if there is any difference in the Teleperformance in Ikeja and the one in VI. I know in the past the Ikeja branch of VFS use to process visa faster.

They don't care about your financial situation. As long as you have solid proof of your relationship and also your partner meets the financial requirement you are good to go!

@Justwise

Is it necessary to include P60 in financial evidence for spouse visa if you supply 6 months payslips?

And has anyone been requested to add this? I'm just asking for someone else as I added mine as extra in case they state not enough evidence

Hello i greet the house,

I Have applied for UK tourist visa in Abuja in 2014 and i was refused, the reason why i was reused was that.....

1. you state you are self employed as evidence of this you have provided your certificate of registration of your business. you however provided no evidence that this business is currently trading. i am therefore not.

2. you have also provided your personal bank statement as evidence of your funds. i note that all of the payments to your account are in cash including those noted as salary. as you have not provided evidence of the source of funds paid in your account, i am not satisfied the funds in your account are wholly owned by you and area true reflection of your financial circumstance in Nigeria.

I have therefore refused your application because i am not satisfied, on the balance of probabilities, that you meet all of the requirements of the relevant paragraph of the united kingdom i migrations rules.

These are the document submitted then
1. Statement of account
2. Marriage pictures
3. Corporate affair certificate
4. Company Invoice
5. Hotel reservation
6. Marriage certificate
7. Tax Card

I have start making transfer in my account now not only cash deposit But Which one is now evidence of trading because i want to reapply again in Lagos and i want the house to advise me what to do because i want my visa granted this time. I have read how you guess have help many people here that is why i am also running to you guess to advise me what to do concerning the reason the mentioned about my refusal. I believe in your guys. Look forward to hear from you guys soon. Thank you

Not at all, not needed. Payslip and bank statement are more than enough

Hello Everyone,

I really thank God. It's Yay time again grin The visa has come. grin I am really happy I discovered this forum‎. It guided me while I was putting documents together for submission and answered questions I had even after submission. I am particularly grateful to Justwise, Kazan and Girlfio cool for the suggestions then Karen (Portsmouth86) for crossing fingers and toes for me smiley.

Here is my timeline, it took more time than usual but that's because I had a setback so don't be discouraged.‎

March 23rd: I did the chest Xray for TB test then online submission‎

March 24th: ‎I was supposed to pick up the TB certificate and go for biometrics. Because I don't live in Lagos, I took 2 days off so that I could do the Xray, collect the certificate the next day then go on to submit passport and do biometrics but when I went to pick up the certificate, I was told that the Xray was abnormal, they said it was probably because I had pneumonia in 2013 and I had cough when I did the Xray, so I was told that I couldn't get a certificate as they don't work with maybes so they said they'd book me for sputum test, I had to come and cough and give them sample for 3 consecutive mornings and wait for 8 weeks atleast for the result (I couldn't believe my ears sad) but I had no choice so I did it, the result came out almost 9 weeks later so I picked it up and did biometrics on the 11th of June so I lost almost 3 months between online submission and biometrics, I had to keep going online to move my submission date so that my application will still be valid and because of the wait, I fell into the health surcharge period so I paid that as well.

June 11th: Submission, Biometrics and Skype interview‎

June ‎24th: Supporting documents sent to Sheffield

June 25th: We tracked the documents and we saw they had been delivered but I thought I was going to get an email confirming that they had received them. (it was at this point that Karen was crossing fingers and toes for me) It never came so I guess they don't acknowledge it‎

July 23rd: Hubby was called for interview

July 28th: Hubby had the interview‎ and when he asked the interviewer when we were likely to know the outcome, he told him 2 weeks that this is a busy period for them.

August 10th: I got ‎an email from Sheffield saying they had made a decision and that I'd get the passport within 3-5 work days

August 13th: I got 2 emails from Teleperformance, one in the morning saying a decision had been made that I will be contacted when they receive my passport. The second email came in the evening‎ stating that they had my passport so I should come and pick up.

August 17: I picked up the passport and it had Visa that had been issued on 31/07/2015. Yayyyy‎ grin grin

I am very happy and I am glad for all the feedback I got on this forum, what justwise has done here is highly commendable, not only did he create the thread but he constantly checks and assists people. Well done.

What I have to add is that everybody's ‎case is different. I didn't do the English test, we didn't have call log, o‎nly email history (lots of it) and BBM chat (just a few recent chats), because we had both changed phones severally we didn't have the old chats anymore. We are both busy at work during the day so we don't speak but we send loads of email then we Skype or do BBM call in the evening, we didn't print out the Skype but we had tickets and hotel reservations for holidays we took together, (3 holidays in total) so that and the email log was what we used as evidence of communication plus Hubby has been to Nigeria 4 times this year and about the same last year so we added the stamped pages of his passport showing the visits. Also a friend of mine was denied settlement Visa last month and one of the reasons is that she didn't state she knew her husband the 2 times she applied for visit visa but her records show that they had met as at that time. I fall into that category but they still gave me the visa...Thank God. Yaaay. The point is if you feel you are lacking in one area, do an overload of the one you have to prove that you have that area covered.

If anyone has any questions, I'd be more than happy to assist.

Thank you everyone once more, Nandos crew, are new members still welcome

Hi, please i would like to know what documents where submitted in lagos, when your husband went for the appointment and which did you send to sheffield. please i'm going to abuja on the 30th Nov.
Thanks.

Hello everyone
I have been following this forum for 5 months now and I managed to put in my spouse visa application. To the glory of God, it was granted. I want to say a very big thank you to all the contributors especially Just-wise, Girlflo and others. Your comments timelines and outline of different experiences really made the process more bearable. Without the information from here it would have been a much more unpleasant experience. My prayer for you all is that you all get helpers in your time of need in the name of the most high.

My timeline experience 2015

May 24th - Filled in online application and made payment both for the application and NHS surcharge.

June 2nd - Submitted application, Had biometrics done and a brief interview. (Only documents belonging to me and in my name were collected I.e passport, TB test , application forms, bank statements, degree certificates)

June 4th - Spouse sent all other supporting documents via DHL (tracked it and it arrived Sheffield within 3 days) no acknowledgement of receipt email was gotten from UKBA Sheffield.

June11 - email from Sheffield stating that we did not include a self addressed special delivery envelope. (We ignored this as my spouse was convinced she included one which would have been clearly seen as it was the first thing in the package. We did not send another one)

Jun 30 - missed the call from Ukba Sheffield message left that they would call back within 48 hrs

Jul 2- another missed call from Ukba Sheffield.

Jul 25 - spouse contacted pay as you go UKBA customer care number to state we had missed two calls and had no other contact for 3 weeks. We were told to stay close to our phones because they only attempt to call 3 times before the application is returned.

No other contact after this (spouse DID NOT attend any interview)

14 Aug - decision made email from Ukba Sheffield (I was convinced our application had been returned. Did not sleep for days because I had used ALL the money I had to do this application and putting another one in would be impossible for a while).

15 Aug - supporting documents returned with the enclosed self addressed envelope

18 Aug - two emails from tele performance Victoria Island

19 Aug - passport picked up with visa Dated 8th August

As the earlier poster said, everyone's case is different.

The key I think is careful planning, get as much information as possible before applying, explain any ambiguity that may affect your application in a carefully written easy to understand cover letter and of course most important, PRAY TO GOD.

I am sooo soooo grin happy grin

Hey Bro, please i want to know if u submitted your marriage cert as wellor call logs, chats and pictures to show how long you guys have been in communication.
