One rule you should take seriously is "never draw sympathy to yourself"

Don't they teach you guys this in Naija military bro?

All the same, what makes a man is what he dies for and not what kills him.

Always save your last bullet to ensure you die a hero and not a slave.cool

Mr soldier, it would Be very easy for me to empathise with you but considering you people treat us like animals because we are bloody civilians it's hard for me to pity you

Until you people treat bloody civilians with honor and respect like your colleagues in the usa and uk we will continue to ignore your plight

In the usa and uk when bloody civilians see a soldier they consider them a hero and people even at times jostle to take pictured with them. In uk and usa there's a discount for ticket sales for people in the military (train tickets, movies and so on). Right here no business man will consider giving you respect or any discount in his business?, not when you have probably brutalised his child, friend or one of his family

Until you see bloody civilians as the reason you have a job( you swore under oath to protect them) we will not pity your pains and struggles

Bye

I always respect soldiers as my father was once one of them. Currently my uncle just returned from maiduguri to treat his broken arm and he's never been the same again cos of what he's seen, yesterday he got a call that his camp was attacked and he lost a good friend, he couldn't sleep and he doesn't even observe Solat anymore.

May Almighty Allah protect you from evildoers, Amin. I also applied for USA goarmy in 2010, took the test, passed got called but refused because most of my pals then was transferred to either Africa or Middle East.

It's serious. Even those of us that are not Soldier's children and don't live in barrack are beginning to feel the hit.

In all modesty, there is hardly any (reasonable) help I need from top places that I'm not able to get due to my decent network. I have contributed to getting many people's solved through use of my modest contacts.

One of the days this failed me was when a former school mate that knew and trusted my network put a distress call to me to help save her young soldier husband that is set to be court-martialed.

She was sobbing over the phone, "Jarus, pls. Help contact your people. Anybody. I know you know X, Y and Z. My husband has been in prison for 6 months for running away from Boko Haram. Some of them were released. I don't know what they did differently. Pls Jarus. "

I know a retired General. I know an influential Emir. I have indirect access to an influential governor. I know a couple of presidential aides. But this is antional security issue. It's not a small police case or brush with soldier that a phone call will resolve.

I consoled her and told her it's a tough one, but will try. I can't even face anyone and say "pls can you kindly facilitate the release of so so so person unjustly imprisoned. It's a national security issue. I can't look at the face of anyone and say that.

The heat is everywhere. May God protect these soldiers and their families.

Yes! Yes!! We would continue praying for guys @ souljaboy1 God will be with you guys in your going out and your coming back, his guidance shall be your cloak and armour always in that hostile environment. And we pray fervently, that the reward of the wicked, the yam eaters, those that channelled monies meant for the procurement of weapons to personal use, shall be swift and brutal, who knows if they had done the right thing, this war might be over.
