They are better than freelancer in the sense that there is not so much spam there and you can easily get started as a beginner there. But it is not better than fiverr if you know your way around fiverr.

I left freelancer in december 2014, and joined Elance....Elance was the best thing that happened to freelancing as there were too many jobs per time. The payout was cool!, and we withdrew our money immediately, yes immediately.
