"A Woman without her Man is nothing" on d
chalkboard & ask his students 2 punctuate
correctly.
All d boys in d class wrote: "A Woman, without her Man, is nothing" All d girls in d class wrote: "A Woman, without her, Man is nothing" WHICH IS CORRECT? |

I remember the day a Prof., during my undergraduate days in Unjos, wrote out this sentence and asked us to punctuate. See class that day na. Guys did theirs and ladies did theirs. The argument went on and on till he walked out without taking sides. Here's a very sensitive one "kill him not leave him" |

The boys own is even wrong, the 1st comma shdnt be there. It shd be; A woman without her man, is nothing The girls own is grammatically right. 1 Like |

And for signs, the available space/spacing can simply change meanings as well. This one I saw on Nairaland a few days back got me laughing hard..
