Oby will soon notice that she can't get away with criticizing Buhari the way she did GEJ.
Soon EFCC and Daura SS will be on her back just to check whether she serviced her husband well or not last night.

Believe me, they do hear swiftly. Just that in this case it came from someone who's bailing ship and being one of the cruise attendants, it hurts that much. But expect more vocalists in bass and tenor as the months go by. Next date; May 29th. They will be sharing helmets and flak jackets in Aso Rock that day....the best days of the APC are long gone.
just happy I didn't vote, would have been so pained with the turn of events of the change

I think there is urgent need to constitute a Nation Economic Advisory Council to provide policy direction and fine tune economic policies for the current administration. This advisory council should include the likes of Soludo, Okonjo Iweala and Ezekwesili; people with international experience in finance. I'm not comfortable with having a former state commissioner at the helm of our economic decision making. I seriously doubt the quality of advice our President is getting from this Ex commissioner. Refusing to devalue and encouraging round tripping and the initial ban on domiciliary accounts are some of her many sins. I seriously doubt if this woman knows where she's taking us.

You regret campaigning for someone struggling to fix the rot occasioned by sixteen long years of savage misrule even though he's not spent up to 8% of the time it took to cause the damage, even under nearly 50% drop in government's revenue (caused by the decline in international oil price).

Regret you may, and you have the right to, but some of us don't and remain very hopeful that things will take a turn for the best before the twilight of Baba's first term.

If I could endure the last 6years, I see no reason why I can't endure enjoy 3. wink

Some of you keep defending the indefensible shamelessly. If Buhari administration had maintained the status quo the way GEJ handed it over to him, I trust nobody would have been here complaining because we'll patiently expect them to improve on what they met. But no way this isn't the case!

My fear is that things keep getting worse and you keep blaming previous administration(s). You guys shame me! Under Buhari's watch power generation dropped, prices of groceries skyrocketed, fuel went way overboard, companies are closing shop and firing workers, foreign exchange rate is gone inaccessible, etc. and regrettably you people keep blaming previous administration(s).

I just pray they don't gradually make Nigeria another Zimbabwe with the excuse that they warned us to brace up for hard times. If I haven't learnt anything from governance, I've learnt that "(Buhari's questionable) transparency doesn't solve problems, but skills do." And finally, Buhari may have the political will to solve Nigeria's problems, but he certainly lacks the skill.

May God help us!

I'd say start grooming the next presidential candidates years before elections in order to know their policies and what they'll bring to the table

Too many times we have leaders who I think are out of their depths regarding leading a country.

What results are faulty leadership who know very little to nothing and fail to understand deeply how to steer the ship.

I think this is a great idea but it will only work in a true democracy, not the one we have right now driven by fear and intimidation. Let the future leaders stand up to be counted and let them lay out their plans, parliamentry style to tackle specific issues into detail and let us weigh them.

I tell you what good this will do. First it will make a technocrat out of a career politician since it is virtually impossible to elect technocrats but more importantly it will make them accountable and more honest because we will hold them to their words.

Isn't it clear that Buhari's failure to debate or even townhall in the lead up is a major blunder. That his lieutenants who spoke on his behalf have been disavowed, shut up or are quiverring in a dark, quiet corner? When we say democracy we also mean responsibility, of leadership to be tested and tried before elected. Every mercedes benz out of the factory is rigorously tested before the showroom. That is the key to their success. They do not just sit down and depend on the quality of their 1983 models. For in every endeavour in life you are only as good as your present performance. This is what we should demand of leadership, current solutions to present challenges.

Not holding forth for anyone but the blame for our current predicament rests solely on the previous administration. They let our reserves drop (squandered) from USD60 billion to USD30 billion at the time Buhari took over. Nigeria is a country that imports virtually everything! That <USD30 billion can barely cater for our balance of payment obligations for a month hence the need to ration the very little dollars we have. Importers are therefore having to pay a premium to import virtually everything we Nigerians need and are transferring the cost. to the consumer. That is why prices are rising, not because Buhari is a heartless bastard that likes inflation.
What we can do now is to cut out those things we can produce locally from our import list. What I can fault Buhari for now is not having a clear mapped out plan for import substitution. It's like we're just telling importers or rice, cars and tomatoes that they can't bring them in again but there is no agency of government giving them local alternatives for their imports or coordinating local producers to take up the responsibility of import substitution.

Please I don't want to call you a BIG Fool because like the VP said, You are entitled to your opinion.

You claimed that the past administration looted the Nation dry and up till the last day they spent in power Nigerians have never suffered half of what they have suffered in 1 year of this present administration.

Are you aware that they stopped people from buying fuel with gallons? Which government in its right state of mind will try that without considering small scale businesses. Which government will try that knowing fully well that electricity is not constant. In the history of this Nation have you ever seen where people queue up in filling stations with their generator set to buy fuel? Are we to blame these on the past administration too?

They claim they have been recovering funds looted by the past administration, don't you think we should be enjoying more now that the looted funds are being recovered? Why is the suffering increasing by the day?

Do you want Nigerians to suffer for 16years before your amiable government start doing something?

I repeat, I don't want to call you a Fool.

Would i say the economy is good at the moment? NO
Would i say its a problem of this govt? 50%
Would i say its a problem of the past administration? 50%

I was initially waiting to see how the economy would be 2 months after the passage of the budget to pass any comment on this administration.

The truth is that Nigeria was caught between "the Bad" and "the Ugly" during the elections last year because there was no "Mr Good" amongst the candidates...

To be frank, America is in the same mess currently as i see no Mr Good between Aspirant Trump and Aspirant Clinton...

I blame the last administration because of "the lack of political will to save" as stated by ex finance minister. A white man recently credited Nigeria as a country for still having an economy especially considering the sums already "galloped" by different politicians.. Ask yourself, would you have known about these scandals of politicians taking money any how from the cookie jar.. people say Buhari is witch hunting.. i have no objection as i believe that the next administration (if not APC) would follow same precedence of probing this current administration.. it might be difficult now as i believe the country can currently be likened to someone that wants to build on water.. i believe there is an utmost need to fill same up with sand first. No change has ever come easy in any country( correct me if i wrong).Thats my waning excuse for President Buharis administration.

For this administration... its a pity some of the appointed officers for this administration have blatantly showed ignorance in their communication skill... i read what Mr. fashola allegedly said last week about how his children also suffer from "heat" and another said he was not a magician... these are rude comments to Nigerians.. i also blame them because they seem unprepared to be at the federal level and this is quite obvious.

Conclusively.. 2019 is around the corner and i hope PDP or any other party fields "the Good" Candidate, otherwise, the next election might just be like the last one wherein Nigerians would have limited options..

HAVE A GOOD EVENING ALL.
