I have seen that happen a couple of times. Truth be told, he has to learn quick. There are some goals you just dont waste time celebrating. Your team is a goal or 2 down, you score, and start heading towards the corner flag to celebrate... thats immature.

The normal thing is to grab the ball and run towards the centre circle, your teammates will shake hands with you and the match resumes, no time wasting.

Against Crystal Palace, away, when he scored the winning goal in the dying minutes of the game, they all rallied round him and celebrated.
Same thing with what have been saying, but people will just find a way of twisting it, do you expect them to pop a champagne for a consolation goal, some even claimed that they don't pass him the ball, I just laugh, most of them only watch mancity big matches.

If you also noticed in the champions league,Man City ought to have an advantage over Real Madrid with one goal at home, when stupid Aguero had the perfect opportunity to pass to Iheanacho to clinch a goal, despite the fact he knew he wouldn't score the goal.

The senior/older team mates are jealous of his constant good delivery.
Smh, african mentality.

bro, does iheanacho gives a shit_ bout them? I think not.
I think those expensive good for nothing players are just jealous of him cos he came through the academy and started banging in and out.
Honestly I think they are really jealous of iheanacho, mostly Aguero. Aguero hardly gives the ball to iheanacho even when he's free and I keep wondering why he does that.

Nobody should bring any excuse of they are 3goals down bullshit coz they keep doing this all the time, even when the youngster equalises.
Ahahahah, aguero hardly gives ball to kelechi? How many man city match have you watched that kun and Kelechi were paired? Infant aguero seems relieved whenever nacho is beside him, cos he knew he would either cause penalty or make an assist, you can't judge kun that way, that's his pattern of play, he hardly pass the ball whenever he is near the post. All he does is shoot shoot shoot

This not an issue of black, don't turn every thing into racist, do I need to start counting black loved players in man city?

Cos football is not NFL or NBA where players on the losing side over-celebrate and dramatize touchdowns and 3-points/dunks

Those 2 goals were insignificant ; thier team were still loosing the case would have been different if goals scored were equalizer and /or winner.

Nah. Bro, I don't agree with u even though I didn't watch the game. But let me give u an example.

Real Madrid were trailing Rayo Vallecano by 2 goals wen Bale pulled 1 back, he took d ball to d centre circle immediately.. which is d right tin to do. It's a game u wana win. And u have hope of winning. So, it's only natural not to waste time and complete a comeback. So it was so very wrong of him to celebrate d goal in d 1st place. It sends a wrong impression dat he prioritise person glory to team glory. Even CR7 didn't celebrate his 1st goal against Wolfsburg. So pls let's not cry Wolf all the time. Good luck to him.
but he did'nt celebrate the 1st.... and they did'nt show any appreciation at all to him..

I think it is high time we started paying closer attention to the fact that Man City players are in the habit of snubbing Ihenancho whenever he scores unlike their habitual mobbing of other goalscorers.
Even Arsenal Legend, Thierry Henry once made a comment about this same issue
what do you think?

they dont like we nigerians......cos they think we are all fraudsters.........and RACISM......

I actually did not see him celebrating any of his goals against Southampton, the dude already have the culture of dedicating all his goals to his God and he normally does that by kneeling down and pointing to the Sky, sometimes he also add the sign of the cross to it. He is just appreciating God for the goals and it is not a crime to do that even if Manchester City is 12 goals down.

do you know a Nigerian doctor was banned from performing surgery in the UK based on what u just wrote.
the doctor had the habit of giving glory to God b4 and after every surgery.
nacho should stop being selfish n learn to appreciate his teammates on the open field. This promotes unity and encourage them to do more for him.
doing the above will not impinge on his will to reference God.

Yes he should, but as they are not celebrating him, we are there fore faced with the question as to why...depending on your answer to that question we can ascertain their reason for not celebrating him, my answer to that question is quite easy jealousy and the reason for the jealousy, I can't say may be it cause he's better than some off them, maybe it cause his arrogant in the dressing room(dunno about that tho) may be it cause they are racist.....who knows but I'm quite sure its jealousy.
Re: No ManCity Player Celebrated Iheanacho Goal Against Southampton. Why? by Toroze(m): 10:50am On May 02, 2016
To all of you saying there a some goals that you don't celebrate we gt that but the other ones tho that ought to be celebrated why didn't they celebrate with the youngster....I mean that's not fair. If its the first time its happening we'd have agreed but its not the first neither is it the second so to me there's something else going on we just need to ascertain what it is.....

But why are Nigerians so emotional like this? Why not employ rational thinking? Do you expect a super squad assembled at great cost to be working for a player of Kelechi's calibre? He is only a teenager, trying to work his way up the ropes (and he is doing an impeccable job at it by all indications!)

Truth be told, he got the support of his team mates yesterday - Jèsus Navas came and pulled him up for they were 2 goals behind at the time, and during his first goal, he did not waste time celebrating the goal for he knew that it was neither the time or place to do so.

He has banged a lot of goals but most of them have come in losing positions. Would you expect James Rodriguez at Real or Munir El Haddadi in Barcelona to dance after scoring when his team is losing??

Regards,
Yesboss!

I hope Iheanacho could read all these or aware.
Am a big fan of his,but the truth is excessive celebration during goals down matches is a sign of inexperience.
Good he is doing fine,he should continue to.
Gaurdiola will surely need someone like him, someone he can talk sense to.
Should Pep take over everyone would see a better Iheanacho mentally, socially and in performance.
Take or leave it,Guardiola is a lover of merit.
I hope he starts versus Madrid.

Well bruh, I will have to watch d highlights and check it out. Cos of all his games I've watched. He always celebrates every goal by running to d corner flag, kneeling and pointing to d sky. I sometimes think it's needless wen his team is trailing, but as u jex said he didn't celebrate which is good. I guess dey should have appreciated him if Wat u say I true. But Wat I don't like is d Naija mentality of pointing out bad habits as racism. As if even In Naija hia, playing ordinary Street soccer, we don't celebrate with our team mates all the time. Sometimes we even fight dem. Lol. grin
