[b]It's been a long time coming! I was a christian before i began to see the numerous shortcomings of the supposedly infallible BIBLE. After noticing these shortcomings, the self-contradiction, the implausible events like the sun(a static object)being commanded to stand still(buhahahaha! sorry, i just had to laugh there) and also the evil pepetrated by the god of the bible i began to seek more answers. I discovered that the bible is just a copy and paste(an amateurish one at that)of the torah, the sumerian tablets and some other mythological writtings. I have discovered that the driving factor of christianity is fear! Fear of hell and fear of the unknown. Also fear of a father figure according to sigmund freud. The numerous unanswered questions about the universe have forced men to come to believe in the existence of supernatural beings whose existence cannot be fathomed. I have been on the bridge of agnostism for a long time and after so much research and findings, i have discovered religion is a sham and now i have crossed over to the land of atheism. Some deluded folks might say my soul is lost; OH WELL, CEST LA VIE! ATLEAST FINALLY I AM FREE!!![/b]

An agnostic is like a former smoker who wants to quit smoking but still clings to nicotine products like patches, gums, electronic sigs etc. An atheist has quit smoking and all nicotine products entirely.

Any god, whether a theist god with a name or a deist God, just an eternal intelligent being who happen to create the universe.

From agnostic atheist to Gnostic atheist. Not much of a cross the way I see it. You've been an atheist all along.

An atheist is someone who suddenly realizes that he been SCAMMED in the name of God. Atheist are majority an outcrop of Christianity. YET THEY ARE NOT LOOKING VERY NEAR ENOUGH. My personal observation is that they are on a journey but have not reached the GOAL that ascertain TRUTH that cant be disprove. A TRUISM!!!

Why do you atheists keep yammering about the fear of hell as the only motive for serving God as if the only thing the Bible talks about is hell?

What happened to eternity in heaven, sweet fellowship with the Holy Spirit, mighty gifts of the Holy Spirit, the relationship between the Father and His children who He has made kings and queens, princes and princesses in heavenly places, what about the blessings and grace of the Father, the love of Jesus Christ for His younger brothers and sisters that He came to die for them, what about unending peace and joy and hope springing eternal in the heart of the true Christian, what about the power a Christian possesses through the indwelling Spirit of God to put demons to flight, to subdue the powers of darkness? I haven't even mentioned the Christian's unlimited access to the riches, strength, wholeness of the spirit, soul and body, prosperity of the soul, supernatural help from God, provision, grace, unmerited favour, freedom from curses, and the power of evil to imprison one, spiritual growth, the power of God to save, and abundant life in Christ only possible through the death of Jesus christ. Time will fail me to list even many others.

Finally, perfect love casts out all fear. If you love a lion but fear to be close to it your love is imperfect and false. You know the lion will devour you whether you love it or not. It sees you as its meal. That is not the case with God. You can be so close to God that nothing else matters except just being in His Presence. You want to worship Him because you love Him so much. But that's not where it ends. You find out that God's love fore you is far greater than you can imagine and that He loves and cherishes you much more than you love Him.

Now, seeing there are hundreds of reasons to love God and serve Him with all your heart what has the fear of hell got to do with any of them?

I respect your decision to be an atheist. It doesn't take away anything from the Body of Christ. Rather, the Body of Christ keeps growing to completion. You can be whatever or whoever you want to be, solely your decision, not mine. But have this mind, not everyone serves God for the reason you do - the fear of hell fire. That's absurd. Live your life as you wish bro.
