So sad. Anyway have you been able to gather enough dollars for your trip? How far with the PTA? As at this evening GTB is charging 309, Zenith 330, First 317... God help us. The cash available to one is reducing value by the day.

Mehn I'm telling you. I'm still struggling to get the PTA as soon as possible before there is an official devaluation. Well, trust Nigerians...we always ride through the storm.

what those people do is to challenge the payment made. Sometimes they lie that their ATM card was stolen so ETS would refund their money.
Pls prospective graduate students, register with your ATM cards linked with PayPal to avoid stories that touch the heart.

The PayPal tin is the safest, just that I wanted an earlier test date then.

Send the money to someone in the US using WU and let the person help you pay over there. or you can use GIEVA (At Marina). I think they charge using official rate and they are certified

Thanks. Will probably try d Gieva guys cos I want to avoid d crazy exchange rate. But I have a dollar credit card (Payoneer) that I could use but just don't know how to go about the whole tin.

Wow really? What a big shame. This is the same reason why as a Nigerian (among other nationalities), you can't pay sevis fee with a card. I read it somewhere on the sevis website.

Hi guys. How is everyone doing? we are in trouble with this dollar thing. Who has dollars and willing to trade for naira at a fair rate? My bank seems to be hoarding the dollar and I really cant count on them. Help a brother. feels like we are about to suffer the great depression.

Ease your mind brother, they may not even ask you as mentioned by brother (dickoflife),
But if them ask: tell them your wife and you has been managing your laundry business for the past 7 years, with your absences you're very certain that she could manage it efficiently.

I'll also advice you to go for MFM Power must change hand program, do it Fire Fire! grin

Its funny how you managed to say those two in the same sentence.

Its not hard to see why Nigeria is in a mess despite numerous churches in Nigeria and number of people that call the name of God daily.

Can you explain more on this

I think what he is trying to point out is the guy's earlier post where he was teaching someone to lie and at the same time advising him to go to MFM for prayers.

Hello house, well I just realized that my gre has been seized for the third time. I registered with one MACKIV consults opposite cement bus stop on Lagos_abeokuta express way. Those guys have played me on 3 different occasions but I will look for an immediate and permanent solution before revisiting their case as I am not even in Lagos right now. The only reason I registered with them was because I needed an earlier date than the one I saw on the GRE website n they were able to get me a spot.

I will be back to that place n will explain to them the meaning of naira-dollar exchange rate. Lemme just save it.

How can I go about paying 235usd with a credit card. I haven't seen any option for that payment n gre customer service is taking too long.

If u have ever being in such situation or u know someone who had the same issue, kindly tell me how to go about the repayment with a credit card.

You are using Kehinde Tawede (Mack IV Consults, cement b/stop ikeja) I can't even start to cry... Just start packaging your $265 through WU money order ($30 penalty fee for each time it bounced + they will never accept credit card from you again or they could just cancel your exam outrightly and you get banned from writing any ETS exam ever again the longer you tarry the bigger you risks, afterwards just go and get police and get the guy arrested he has been doing it for too long.

I said it one time that Nigerians are wicked sha, congrats mike1994reds

I see. All I see on highway is other drivers distances, speeds and driving skills. Then the main thing, scanning far ahead for police presence. grin For cameras, on highway they don't monitor speed. I once did between 90 to 95 mph from NY to Maryland, passing through NJ and DE. I had - 45 mins less than the normal travel time.
chaiii. jejely oo

I am always on my limit oo. I envy people who drive pass me on the highway. in short one day police don drive pass me because I was on the exact limit.

it's bad to leave naija and die in america.
I must rest in naija

Just tell them the truth, am not married, am over 30 and i got my visa approved. Though i had travel history to the US

Why would they deny someone for that? Having kids and wife/fiance should even be a plus as it's a humongous home tie.

Abeg lets stop worrying ourselves over things like this. Just present your situation as it is. Every case is judged separately.

Please I need information on how the best place and the cost of registering for toefl, and the application fee thing, how can I send money out of Nigeria? This exchange rate is too high with black market, does Western Union cost less? I want to apply for either Mechanical, automation or a related field for undergraduate studies. I need advice on an affordable university or college that can offer them with like $3k-$6k as tuition, I intend to apply for spring (January start)... Hope to get help here, USA is the Dream...

Hi all. I've got a question.

I've read from previous threads that it's not good when you tell the VO you applied to more than one school in a state. I didn't know about this until recently. I applied to three schools in Texas though I don't have any relative in the US let alone Texas. It happens that good Petroleum Engineering programs are clustered in Texas mainly because of the Permian Basin and co. I'll appreciate your advice on the best course of action. I doubt the VO will give me the opportunity to explain the rationale behind my picks.

Yes they will...that's even if they ask you. I asked the same exact question years ago..as long as you have very good reasons which I think you do, you'd be good. By the way, you have family in Texas?
