The funny aspect there is that I introduced them on Nairaland. Through my several months of staring at the screen even during office hours. At times even when I was not talking to someone, you did see me laughing out loudly.

Thats how they also got attracted to NL. About three of them or so, I was instrumental to opening their accounts on same day. Since they claimed they had not yet joined officially.

Their Birthdays are not real.

We were so close at a point that we could use each other accounts. If I have an important post to make and am banned, I still make it. gringrin

If I run out of MB I still share with any one especially during working ours.

It was until some started becoming popular with offensive comments on NL that I started becoming private with my account details.

Meaning you created all those monikers and assigned your birthday to them all.

No big deal anyway cos I also run two monikers bc of nairaland ban of which of which I have mentioned it severally.

No hard feelings.I had always known those monikers are linekd

Siasia picks Saviour for Korea tourney

Nigeria U23 star Godwin Saviour

Nigeria Olympic team coach Samson Siasia has included KV Oostende forward Godwin Saviour to the squad for an invitational tournament in Korea preparatory to the Rio Olympics.

“Saviour will feature at the invitational tournament in Korea,” disclosed one of his representatives.

Saviour, who was a late substitute for his club in a Belgian championship playoff on Thursday, has not featured for Dream Team VI since the qualifiers for the U23 AFCON.

Club engagements stopped him from both the All Africa Games as well as U23 AFCON in Senegal.
Several other overseas-based professionals including skipper Azubuike Okechukwu have already confirmed their availability for the tournament.

Hosts Korea, Denmark and Honduras are the other teams billed for the invitational tourney.

Seriously! Siasia selections is getting worse day by day. Imagine, Simon the bench warmer and landlord who did not not play a single match throughout the whole season has been invited ahead of some players playing regularly for their teams. What a pity.

On this note, I say, Na sidon dey observe na em I still dey so. cool

Godwin Saviour might bring something to the team he does not see in other players playing regularly. This tournament is a chance for Coach Siasia to spend the with Godwin. Remember, Coach Siasia has monitored the guy from the U20 where they stayed in the same hotel and trained on the same location.

He should likely bring in one of his close relative to the team then, since he can see something from a player that has played nothing. grin

Afterall, he has seen them closely from the family's dinner table and Family home. I think that is better than the once in while hotel and a particular training location. grin

You are being sarcastic. I am serious here. Remember, during the U20 preparation, a coach tipped Godwin Saviour to perform better than Iheanacho.

If Godwin was that impressive in camp, it is possible Coach Siasia saw something brilliant in him. As long as Coach Siasia selects the choices he feels are the best, I am okay with that.

Hahaha...this is too funny.

Guy relax na...Siasia knows the players that fit his plans. Even if they have not played for two years, as long as they are not in the hospital, they must go to the olympics. Those players are the only ones born with football and they are the only ones that can do well in Rio. All those fit players who have performed in the past season are not good for Nigeria...they are just good for the top European clubs they play for. Nigeria is a different place that needs different tactics that the world does not know about.

No one questions the Almighty Siasia. He is the greatest.

The point is that, a player could be good and for reasons best to the coaches, the coaches leaves the player on the bench.

Are you saying because Mikel had not played for months, Gus Hiddink should not have played Mikel.

As long as Coach Siasia believes in what he is doing and he is giving his best, it is okay. If he feels Godwin Saviour has something to offer, then it is okay.

Nigerian Talent Isaac Success Yet To Agree Personal Terms With Watford

Isaac Success’s proposed move to English Premier League side Watford is dependent on the sale of Odion Ighalo this summer, according to the Granada’s striker representative.

Udinese, Granada and Watford suits have been locked in talks with the player’s intermediary Oliver Noah since February but the parties are yet to strike an agreement due to his wage demands.

“Isaac Success will join Watford if Ighalo is sold. In the first half of the season, several big teams in England, including Chelsea, were calling Watford that they want to sign him but he didn’t score much in the second half, ” Dominic Egbukwu told allnigeriasoccer.com.

“We are still negotiating his wages and hopefully an agreement will be reached soon .”

Isaac Success earned €20-30,000 every month at Granada last season, more than double the sum he received during his first year in Andalusia and wants his pay raised to a minimum of €50,000 per month before agreeing personal terms.

The likes of Inter Milan, Atlético Madrid and PSG are monitoring the situation of the former Golden Eaglets sensation, aside the interest from The Vic.

Taye Academy Cries Out : Kanu Wants To Take Iheanacho From Me Because Of His Position

Kennedy Ezenwere, the proprietor of Taye Academy, has dismissed the statements credited to Nwankwo Kanu and the president of his academy which claimed that Kelechi Iheanacho represented Papilo Academy before transferring to Manchester City.

Ezenwere has stressed that the Super Eagles rising star has no business whatsoever with Kanu and his academy, adding that the ex-Arsenal legend had approached him to be installed as a patron of Taye Academy but he rejected his advances.

“Kelechi Iheanacho has been my boy since he was ten years old, who is Papilo? Kanu has been disturbing me to this day that he wants to be a patron of Taye Academy, ” a furious Kennedy Ezenwere told allnigeriasoccer.com.

“I housed Kelechi, sent him to school, paid his school fees including his fees for WAEC.

Everybody in Imo States knows he is my player.
“Kanu wants to take the boy from me because of his position. Why did he not use the name of Papilo Academy to play at the World Cup instead of Taye Academy?”

When contacted, Kanu’s elder brother who is based in Owerri, refused to comment on reports that Iheanacho once played for Papilo Academy.

The Tottenham Hotspur winger made his debut against Brazil in March, and it remains to be seen if he is given a run-out by coach Samson Siasia for Thursday’s scrimmage against a local team.

Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi and KV Oostende’s Saviour Godwin were both seen at the Team Hotel on Thursday morning.

Skipper Azubuike Okechukwu has already arrived in camp following the deadline issued by Siasia for invited overseas based players to join the team or risk being axed from the Olympic squad.

William Troost-Ekong heading back to Gent

The defender who has been on loan at Haugesund will return to his parent club this summer following important performances in Norway.

William Troost-Ekong is heading back to parent club KAA Gent this summer after posting impressive performances thus far on loan at Haugesund in Norway according to SuperSport, information thatGoalhas been able to confirm.

The Belgian side sent the 22-year-old Nigeria defender on loan immediately after his free transfer in July 2015.

Tony Harris, the player’s agent told SuperSport.com: “William is very likely to go back to Gent as he has had an impressive outing in Norway so far. Discussions are ongoing about that.”

Ekong has become a crucial part of Haugesund this season where he was made captain in February and has scored once in 11 league appearances thus far.

He was named man-of-the-match five times and made the Tippeligaen team of the week four times, leading to his re-call to the Nigeria side for the friendly matches against Mali and Luxembourg.

The former Netherlands U20 player switched allegiance to Nigeria in 2015 and made his debut in Kaduna under Stephen Keshi when the Super Eagles defeated Chad 2-0 in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game.

He played three more times under former coach Sunday Oliseh but was not called up as Nigeria fell behind Egypt over two legs to miss out on qualifying for the Afcon for a second straight time.

William’s talent and leadership ability has never been in doubt.

He will hope to tie down a regular place at Gent who will look to strengthen their squad after finishing third during the just ended season.

Umar Aminu Clarifies He Has Not Signed A Three-Year Deal With Besiktas

Umar Aminu has admitted that Turkish Super Lig champs Beşiktaş J.K are exploring ways to capture his signature but talks of a deal being imminent are wide of the mark.

Speculations are rife at home and abroad that the Optimum Performance FC Abuja product has ended his collaboration with Osmanlıspor after appending his signature to a three-year deal with the Black Eagles, but this has been dismissed by the Super Eagles rising star.

“Yes, Beşiktaş J.K want me I think, but there is no signature yet. People have been asking me about this issue but I am still a player of Osmanlıspor,” Aminu told allnigeriasoccer.com briefly before leaving for training on Thursday morning.

The 21-year-old is presently in France with the Super Eagles and could earn his third cap for the national team on Friday against Mali.

In 28 outings in the Turkish topflight last term, Aminu scored 8 goals.

Siasia names squad for Suwon International tourney Friday

Coach Samson Siasia is expected to release the list of players for next month’s Suwon Invitational Tournament in South Korea on Friday.

This followed the arrival of seven overseas-based players to the team’s training camp.

First to arrive the Serob Legacy Hotel Abuja camp of the Dream Team was captain Azubuike Okechukwu who was looking fit and ready as he wasted no time in joining the team's morning training session.

Next was Portugal-based defender Stanley Amuzie, who came in around 2pm thereby being part of the team's evening training session, and the number was increased when the team was having dinner with the arrival of the trio of Godwin Saviour, Taiwo Awoniyi and Usman Mohammed, with back slapping and hugging from their team mates and officials.

On Thursday afternoon, the camp was further boosted when England based Nathan Oduwa arrived.

Captain Okechukwu expressed delight in being called upon to wear the colors of the country as he sees it as a thing of pride and honour.

"This is a big family and any time I am called upon to be part of the family, I feel highly honoured and as such will do everything to make it,” he said.

“I have had a hectic season and as such had wanted to rest a little with my family, but this is a call to duty which I must honour, so I had to cut short my rest to beat the deadline set by my coach who I know is a no –nonsense person."

With the arrival of the six players, the camp now has seven of the eight foreign-based players invited to camp, with France-based midfielder Sodiq Popoola expected in camp on Friday due to flight challenges.

Godwin Saviour is not just a bench warmer but one of our promising lights. This is not about reviving his career. This is about giving Godwin Saviour a chance to prove that the young promising star in the U20 camp is still in there.

It is a good opportunity. Let us hope Godwin takes the bull by the horn.

This was the kind of news we got of Godwin Saviour by this time last year.

joseph1013:
Saviour Godwin has been in devastating form in training. He scored a brace in training yesterday. All the defenders are wary of marking him lest he does them a 'boateng' and Manu Garba uses that to judge their place on the list.

I do not think one year is enough for us to talk of him reviving his career. It is a chance to prove himself.

How did you dig this out? :-O

In any case, that proves my point. Invite players to the national team based on present form. Saviour was hot in 2015 and without sentiments, we all hailed him and thought he more than deserved his place in the team.

There is no point in coaches shouting and urging players to work hard at their individual clubs if they already know the players they would choose.

It is not transparency to ask Anichebe to come to camp for Rio based on his performance in Beijing 2008. I'm really surprised that you're about the only person who doesn't understand this.

Let the fight begin.

There is no debate here. Iheanacho joined Taye Academy as a small boy and registered for the U17 World Cup as a Taye Academy player. So at what time did he play for Papillo.

He is the greatest.

grin grin grin Chai! Make I relax but you com add salt to injury. Siasia don shuffer! grin
