well @theBolded the spear might either be of valyarian steel or a dragon glass but if you watch carefully the spear thrown at the white Walker by one of the children of the forest met him on his armoured vest with little or no impact..... while Meera who's known to be very good in archery threw the spear straight at the white Walker's neck (straight impact).

Meera's spear had an Obsidian tip (the one Samwell Tarly gave to her). Jon's sword (Longclaw) is forged with Valyrian Steel. Those are the two things known to take out White Walkers.
