@Op and all the participant Jazakum Lahu Ahiran.

I'm not here to participate but to learn one thing or the others and to ask questions, I hope it is allowed?

My question goes thus;

When observing Zuhri & Ashri third and fourth rakar, someone told me one must not recite any sural after Fathia. This is my question, is it compulsory not to read any sura or it is obligatory?

NOTE ( I KNOW THE RECITATION OF FATHIA AND OTHER SURA MUST BE RECITE IN SILENCE IN THESE TWO SOLAT "ZURI AND ASHRI", THIRD RAKAH IN MOGRIB AND THIRD AND FOURTH IN ISHAI)
Thanks in advance.

To the best of my little knowledge bro, not reciting any sura after those rakats, is the traditional practice, and I think it's best tat way. But reciting one after such doesn't also render ur solat invalid. Allaumah idinah siratali mustaqueem

i) he would say “Allaahu akbar” and raise his hands,
ii) when he bowed in rukoo’ he would raise his hands,
iii) when he said “ Sami’a Allaahu liman hamidah [Allaah hears those who praise Him]” he would raise his hands, and
iv) when he stood up after two Rak’ahs he would raise his hands (After the 1st Tashahudd).

ii) Sincerity to His Book is believing that the Quran is the Speech of Allah sent down as Revelation to be obeyed and that there is no similarity between the Speech of Allah and the speech of mankind.
iii) Sincerity to the Prophet is Loving him more than anything/anyone else, obeying Him, rejecting those whom had enmity towards him, being loyal to those who gave allegiance to him, honoring him, and reviving his manners and Sunnahs.
iv) Sincerity to the leaders is making duaa for them that Allah guides them, protects them and makes them able to carry out their responsibilities, correct them constructively, obey their commands (that didn't contradict that of ALLAH and His Messenger) and not raising arms against them.

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah

A requisition for a thorough check on the answer to question 1 of day 2 quiz : "...raising the hands with the saying Allahu akbar". Samii Allahu liman hamida is different from Allahu akbar.

The question was with precision "saying Allahu akbar and not just positions were the hands are meant to be raised.

question 3. ...those poius people who are to CONVEY the word of Allah.
The answer precisely will be Rusul (Messengers). Prophets and Messengers have little distinction, the former are pious people who are meant to be examples to mankind e.g Yusuf, ayub etc they were not messengers, the latter are people sent to a particular tribe or region to CONVEY the word of Allah, they have greater degree to that of the Prophet.

The precise name for those sent to convey is Rasool not Nabi, for all nabi are not rasool.

I stand to be corrected mega million times sha.

You are meant to raise your hand and say Allaahu Akbar after saying “ Sami’a Allaahu liman hamidah [Allaah hears those who praise Him]”.

This is an authentic (Sahih) hadith, if you have any contrary evidence pertaining to this, kindly share it in order for us to learn.

I am sure you will agree with me that all Rasool (Messengers) are Nabi (Prophets). Those Rasool (Messengers) which Almighty Allah selected to convey the word of Allah are also referred to as Nabi (Prophet) e.g. Prophet Muhammad, Prophet Isa, Prophet Musa, etc.

The distinction between both according to the explanations of the scholars is:  a prophet is one who is inspired by the Divine Power periodically but does not receive any revelations of a Divine Scripture.  Messenger is one who is inspired by Allaah and has received revelations resulting in the formation of a Divine Book.  E.g. Prophet Muhammad, Musa, Isa (peace on them all) were messengers, while Yahya and Zakariyah (peace be on them) were prophets.

Finally, not all prophets are messengers but it's quite clear according to the Glorious Qur'an that ALL Rasool (Messengers) are Nabi (Prophets) and they were referred to as both in the Qur'an.

Almighty Allah will continue to enrich our knowledge, continue to guide us towards the right and grant us the best both in dunyah and akhirah (Aameen).

Jazakumullahu khayran, khayran jazaa.

I think we both rely on the hadith of ibn umar in both saheehayn. He made mention of Samii Allahu liman hamidan not Allahu akbar.

{Takbeeratul ihram, going to ruku and standing from the first tashahud} those are the point of raising with the proclamation of Takbeerat. The hadith is clear enough to the best of my knowledge.

As for the second, the word "CONVEY THE MESSAGE" was what i focused on and gave Messengers as the best answer.

Verily, success comes from Allah

5) That the Quran was sent down in Arabic, is this a tenable excuse for us non-Arabs?
NO.
The Qur'an is sent as guidance to all mankind. The language of Scriptures, as and when they are sent down to different generations and regions, is in the language of the messenger and the people who are immediately around him:
"We have not sent any Messenger except with the language of his people so he can make things clear to them. Allah misguides anyone He wills and guides anyone He wills. He is the Almighty, the All-Wise. (Qur'an 14:4)
Thus, for those people caught in the darkness of disbelief at the prophet's time, it was a great blessing that Allah sent a messenger with a magnificent Scripture in their language, which they could understand and use their reasoning over.
Also, in Quran 41 verse 45.. Allah says "And We had already given Moses the Scripture, but it came under disagreement. And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed they are, concerning the Qur'an, in disquieting doubt. "

And if We (Allah) had sent this as a Quran in a foreign language (Other than Arabic)....
3) What would they (Pagans of Mecca) had said?

From Q41:44 "If We had made it a foreign Quran, they would have said, ‘If only its verses were clear! What? Foreign speech to an Arab?’ Say, ‘It is guidance and healing for those who have faith, but the ears of the disbelievers are heavy, they are blind to it, it is as if they are being called from a distant place.’

So, they would had complained that they didn't understand the verses.

4) And would the Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم have responded to them?

In the above verse (Q41:44), he would've said "it is guidance and healing for those who have faith, but the ears of the disbelievers are heavy, they are blind to it, it is as if they are being called from a distant place"

5) That the Quran was sent down in Arabic, is this a tenable excuse for us non-Arabs?

No, because all Scriptures are in revealed in the language of the messengers and their people, as indicated in Q14:4

"We have not sent any Messenger except with the language of his people so he can make things clear to them. Allah misguides anyone He wills and guides anyone He wills. He is the Almighty, the All-Wise.
