How can you reserve it when you destroy it? How can? We destroy our own environment in other to spite government as if those in power will feel it. Simple truth is that they won't! They have eaten enough money to last them for generations. It's the common man that will suffer it. Our environment has been destroyed, rivers polluted, no development anywhere & youth restiveness but we add self destruction to all these because of "our oil" mentality. What have our leaders done for us? What have the so-called freedom fighters done for the common man? We keep blaming government that builds schools, hospitals, etc for us and yet we can't see our own enemies. We Niger Deltans and even the south easterners are so wicked to ourselves and self centred. We are cruel to our plight and only God can help us, not the government, not federalism and not even secession. Even if we have Niger Delta republic or Biafra today, worse problems shall emerge because the same wicked and self centred hegemonic people will still be at the helms of affairs. So there is no utopia for us unless we fight for our rights, the right way.

The government has not done enough, granted! But why do we cause more havoc? Violence is not the way. Scoring own goals is not the way.

We can dialogue, involve international groups and other nations, cause civil disobedience, protest, etc but never violence or self destruction. Look at the American Civil rights movement and learn a lesson or two from there.

It is well..

I agree with you but Buhari should be fast to raze down the entire imo state with atomic bombs to stop this miscreants.

Buhari we support you to do this for the unity and development of Nigeria. We believe in your government and we don't want any disruption now that you are continuing with the work GEJ started on the Onitsha 2nd Niger bridge, Enugu airport projects, Onitsha-Awka-Enugu federal highways etc.

Nobody should distract Buhari because we want him to deliver these projects for us in the SE.

I am very happy, pls let them also join in devastating their region; by the time they finish everybody would have diversified and left them behind with their undrinkable oyel; we are already used to lack of electricity, my generator is still ok and already shifting to invest in God's given sun through solar, the rains have come and our crops (including tomatoes) have been successfully planted with prospects of good yield - life goes on , what else do we need.

We all know Jonathan was behind Boko Haram in order to destabilize Northeast. Evidence lies in his refusal to equip and encourage the Army. Buhari has incapacitated them and they resorted to destruction of pipelines. However a General is a General.

Nigeria is going down and you are here playing tribal game, do you have brains at all?

Do you know how much the country lose on a daily basis as a result of this? There will be no money, electricity and development, if this continues for another year even you will be relegated to togo IDP camp.

‘Red Scorpion’ militants claim responsibility for blowing up oil pipelines
— 21st June 2016

(George Onyejiuwa, OWERRI)

A new militant group called the Red Scorpion, based in Imo state, has claimed responsibility for blowing up two pipelines belonging to Elf Oil Company in Awara in Ohaji Egbema Council Area of Imo State.

This admission comes as the militant group had threatened to blow up the Shell Pipelines in Oguta.

The group in a post on their Facebook account yesterday, said that their threat should not be taken as an empty one as they have the capability to carry it out, warning that until the oil producing areas in the state are given their due, the oil companies operating in the areas will know no peace.

Meanwhile, some of the ex-militants from the area, who confirmed the existence of the new group, said that they were not part of the renewed spate of militancy.

According to one of them, who preferred anonymity, “people are angry and blowing up pipelines is no longer news…”

Mehn this is far becoming a nORM o !

I won't even ask how you manage to charge your phone, be wise and let's tackle this issue because we are all involved in the suffering.

The bombs have started going off in the SE courtesy of the Ijaw terrorists.

The Niger Delta environmental destruction and ecological devastation is going east. The militants must be trying to show that they are truly one.

Blow everything up, leave nothing standing.

Report reaching me some days back from the last economic meeting held is tht 15%=#900b has being cut off from ur budget.
dont worry,by August maybe 50% will be off ur budget & u willl need to use groundnut from the north & cocoa from sw to fund the remaining part left.

It very sad. The problem with Nigerians, once the start something, especially bad ones, they tend to over do. They really do not understand the economic, social and political implications of these bombings, which I must say, is an act of cowardice. Most of the people here applauding these terrible act of vandalism here, are people that are probably still being fed by their parents, they just don't comprehend. The FG should consider cutting allocations of states that "harbour" these so called agitators, anytime the bombs goes off. The light situation have been terribly bad since the peak of this crisis, affecting businesses and live. It is disheartening. Money that should be channeled to something more productive will be used in appeasing few terrorist.

Did I jst read u type 'violence is not the way'?. Tot u wntd ur buhari to level the whole 5% region since human lives is of no importance. And pls stop claiming wat u r not. U r not Urhobo. See him preaching. Go and use ur groundnut n fund the budget or u ask ur bubuhari to use diplomacy n wisdom in resolving the ND/Ipob issues cos he clearly lacks those qualities. No one supports violence.
