Poor Cercei, Tommen isn't exactly the brute Joeffrey was..she can't expect all her kids to be wicked

That's not enough excuse IMO. Whether they follow LF is a different matter. At least drop the option on the table for others to analyze instead of pranting like a b*tch

Sansa would have been skinned alive by now if you could reach her. Have you forgotten that LF isn't exactly a trustworthy person? Same reason why she never told Jon about their meeting, I'm sure she told Jon everything that snake did to her from, sneaking her out of King's Landing, killing her Aunt at the Vale to selling her off to the Boltons. To me LF is just a power broker who would do or support just about anything as long as he gets a big chunk from it..the same LF who held Ned down with a knife to his throat for Cercei/Joeffrey, same MAN who stood there with a smug face smiling wickedly when Joeffrey asked for Ned's head? Imagine bringing such an idea 'on the table' ?

Having hope in an Army they were not sure of wouldnt have been smart, she asked Jon to wait hoping the Army would come. Thank goodness they came much later...Jon would have screwed up the whole thing. She took a risk and it paid off..what if the Raven had been shot down Season 2 style? what if LF never showed up? She shouldnt have gone to see him at all..I'm sure she only went there to kill him or throw his fake kindness back in his face but as usual the snake got away with offering her advise and help. I hope she knows who she's dealing with though..LF might turn her against Jon

I don't think she transitioned, i think she just wanted vengeance. She didn't really care about Rickon.
nawa oh. You guys really suprise me with the way you reason. How can you say that she didnt care for her brother? She care for him but she was being realistic. She already made it clear that rickon had a better claim than her or jon, so ramsey would most probably kill him

But its speculation on your part what Ramsey's battle plan was, or if they saw men digging trenches or not.
10/10 is perfection by the way.

It's hardly speculation because you can see him smile at every move team Jon made.

Pawns who don't need to be sacrificed ?

It doesn't matter if they NEED to be sacrificed. What matters is the he WANTED them sacrificed. If he didn't, he wouldn't have fired arrows at his own men.

I believe in Gender Equity not Gender Equality. It has everything to do with roles and duty. Sansa kept crying that they didn't ask her for her input, while at the same time denying them vital life-saving info cause of her ego. In life you take the initiative, must you wait for someone to ask you before you can contribute positively? She was involved in all battle meetings, rallying Northern houses yet she kept shut. If they didn't value her they wouldn't have involved her in the first place. Let's see LF plan for her now.
bro pls just shut up. You are filled with hate n have nothing meaningful to contribute

Those aren't units, the whole cavalry charging doesn't make a unit. We don't enough of Ramsey's capabilities as a military man. All your assertions are on speculation. Also an absolute suprise force doesn't just show up, except in Hollywood.

What makes a unit then? A quick Google says a unit is a subdivision of a larger military force.

We don't know enough (i assume that's what you meant) of his military capabilities but we know enough of his tactical capabilities. Tactics are not used only in military you know.

And about military just showing up, it's just Hollywood like you said. It's for dramatic effect.

But just as a side note, army do just show up in battle.

Did you guys notice that Ramsey killed a lot of his men via arrows? Even if he won the battle of the bastards people wont be too willing to follow him to battle again

LOL, young man/lady I don't know you from anywhere and you don't know me. How can you, this early morning, just come and write this thing on a civilized thread like this? Come on man. If you disagree with what I wrote earlier;

1) Ignore and move on with your life
2) Engage in a healthy discussion like I did with my learned fellows on this thread.

Please change this attitude, it won't get you far in life. Have a nice day Sir/Ma

I doubt it was a decision he made on the spot. He would have discussed it with his fellow commanders or whatever they are called before carrying it out.

I think he killed a lot of the Umbers and Karstarks, his men were the Archers, the ones with Shields and Spears, they did the envelopment, went last and were well protected. if he had won the battle those silly families would have had little or no men left to protect them making them dependant on him. Anyhow we see it..Ramsey is a genius, a very evil one at that. Hear them shouting.."who owns the North..we do!!" Bunch of sacrificial lambs..heheheee

I highly doubt that, Ramsay is a mad dog his father said so himself. He rules by cowering you to be fearful of him no one will question his command.

Hmmnnn...so you think the commanders of the men he used as siege willingly agreed to be slaughtered like that? Mind you, some of those commanders were trapped too...he had it all planned in his head and just had to give the command

I think it would rather unfair to say this about Sansa. She had experienced the brutality and sadistic nature of Ramsay firsthand than anything jon would have imagined.

She knew Rickon was dead from her knowing Ramsay and she told Jon that Rickon was more a threat to him than jon or her, Jon still felt there was a chance to get Rickon back that's why he was more positive than her.

i have also been asking myself dat same question on y Sansa did not tell Jon snow about d army she was expecting.

But let's be true to ourselves here...if The Knight of vale had been on that battle field with Jon as the commander, they would all have died trying to protect their commander's emotional imbalance... What killed Ramsey Bolton was that he sacrificed all his Ridders...

The full force of the knights of the vale would obliterate Ramsaeys forces in open combat, unless ramsay takes shelter @ winterfell. 5thousand men on horse back would wipe out the entire bolton army. Half of the boltons where on foot remember

Now, little finger's love for Sansa's mother is one mystery no one knows if it's real or not. But I remember in the books (I think) tyrion made a statement like this. 'littlefinger cares for no one but littlefinger'. And that statement was made to catlyn Stark. Now, it's true he might love her, but make no mistake, nothing goes above littlefinger's ambition. Littlefinger was in on the red wedding plan so if he loved her so much why didn't he send a message to her? Just know that in his scale of preference, his ambition comes first. And if he was to marry Sansa, it's not for love but for the north.
Awesome analysis.. But I don't get D part whr u said littlefinger was in on Red wedding... Care 2 elaborate?.. Tanx

I definitely agree with this .

Ramsey delivered a master class in military strategy there.

Used his calvary to pin down Jon's calvary, so that his archers could wipe them out from range.

Then sent in his phalanx troops to spear the army infantry to death.

Ramsay actually won his battle against the starks...and if he wasn't actually destined to die by the writers, could have easily sat back in his castle and waited out the vale siege.

Instead we got the dubious situation where a giant who had more shafts in him than a prostitute, muster enough strength to smash up the gate and let Jon in.

Then ofcourse, Ramsay chose to waste a clean shot on a practically dead giant, when Jon was open for the kill.

Finally, Ramsay had to try and use a bow and arrow in close quarters combat, ignoring the sword hanging at his side begging for action.

Like MaziOmenuko said, those last actions didn't fit the MO of the Lord Bolton that we know.

So yeah, if not that the writers had decided to make Ramsay a faceless man, he would have gotten away with every last action.

that's a very good tactics o. very devious! Captain Flint did the same but in limited capacity in Black sails season 3 finale. go and read "acts of war". a good war tactician or general is one who is willing to do the outrageous and the unexpected. in war there is no fair play, no cheat.

during world war 2, the Japs nearly crippled the united state's navy by sacrificing a lot of their air force. if not for the tie breaking atomic bomb, japs could have possibly invaded the west coast of the united states.

We should take emotions out of war situation, Sansa cared about her brother than Jon but she knew he was a dead person.

Littlefinger holding a knife to Ned head was a mercy killing, he knew Ned was a dead man when he was "mad enough" to tell Cersei the truth about her children. No point saving a dead man, rather use his death to advance your position. Halfhand was a warrior, he knew this and he used his death to advance position for Jon Snow among the wildlings.

It's war bro, not good intentions
