I intend to apply for a critical skills visa in the coming weeks from here in nigeria. I could be greatful if anyone explains to me what exactly im i supposed to submit to show proof of sufficient financial means. Ok i know im suppose to submit bank statements but .......
1. In whose name should the bank statements be on, Myself or the host?
2. Should it be a SA or Naija issued bank statement?

If anyone has successfully applied for this visa it could be helpful if they share what kind of documents they submitted to show proof of financial means.

Yourself, the overview of critical skills visa is that you have experience in that field and that means you have made money from the past in that field. You can add your host's as supplementary

Guy what is d meaning of science course? Please tell us what you study in university or ploythenic. Dating SA babe will not give u anything until you marry her.

It depends on the programme. Some departments in UKZN have an agreement with a third party based in the UK who assist with the transcript verification exercise at no extra cost to the candidate.

Thanks, I already have all of the above Saqa evaluation ,Ecsa registration ,Experience etc. I was only a bit confused on what to submit in order to show proof of sufficient financial means as per one of the requirements

The following documents are needed for evaluation : 1.Passport data page 2 .Waec results 3.Transcript 4 degree certificate .All must be certified .Meanwhile you can draft a good proposal now and send to potential supervisor while awaiting the outcome of the evaluation .A poor proposal will lead to no where .

Guys, handed in my resignation yesterday, heading out to naija for a while, its time to make Naija great again, but I will be in and out of SA quite often. My family still resides here.

Student copy is well accepted for evaluation.You can check list of lecturers in your discipline and area of interest then check which of them match your research interest .Evaluation cost should be around 1690 Rand or so ,not sure of exact figure all depend on how many academic docs are to be evaluated .for instance if you have Ond and Hnd you will pay higher than someone with b.SC certificate only .

No sir he can't procure or secure or purchase any work permit for you irrespective of your qualification .You have to apply from where you reside .Above all you MUST have the required documents .Don't allow him deceive you ! You have to follow the process and apply .

I have a carrier already . I don't plan running away or committing any crime over there.........I need advice and guide line on how to go about it......
