I find it difficult in titling my musings so let's just get down to the brass tacks . . . . . . . . .

With all the drumbeats of public flogging, with all the vertiginous lashings from every outpost, with the unvarnished truth perverted to serve the hour, with his image smashed in a thousand places with the cudgel of calumny, you would naturally expect the promoted outing of the persecuted man a great revelation, an iron man spectacle thrusting out his will in assertive largeness; a pronounced standing up to the gods.
Alas and alack, there was no such a thing. There was no firm comprehensive declaration, no defined purpose of marching-in-lockstep articulation confirming the alleged wrongs—rather, all we saw were rataplannings about the bush, weak and baseless affronts on his dignity and hordes of false accusations that were manifestedly laughable.

But even in the teeth of these very savage oppositions, our persecuted man was able to wield with Achilles reflex, a double-edged sword that stymied all of the insidious prowling, the prophecies of the wet blankets and nay-sayers, the tendentious inquisitional grandstanding of his opponents, and loudest of all, the tummy-churning bloody-mindedness hedged against him by those his sheer presence, mien and vast knowledge had greatly intimidated. We saw great mettle and heroic singularity as our persecuted man fearlessly handicapped those whom hitherto had held the terrible whips of animadversion.

But before our persecuted man could do any of this, his instincts were to cringe and fawn, to dither in aimless uncertainties, to sandwich himself between the shameful cleft hills of cowardice, to cast away his many-splendored and illustrative banners with unremitting vehemence, and to tailor the chapters of his life to the particulars of the envious, hate-mongering underachievers.

His fundamental focus in life was blurred. . . . . . . .got blurrier. . . .then in a rippling Eureka moment he rediscovered his contabescent self-worth when these iconic words swatted the grim, slimy clouds in his mental sky: ‘Busy men discuss ideas; Idle men discuss people.
And then he cackled, chuckled, guffawed, then ensconced his buttocks on the embroidered seats of his new-found pride and confidence. He felt like a million bucks, expanded his nostrils then inhaled the bitter-sweet aroma of his new-found ennobling authority.
But he wasn’t carried away for he knew that only by dint of his hard-work can success be attained; ‘a training session a day keeps mediocrity away’, this he soliloquized.

He also knew he needed mentoring and guidance to transcend his very vast and unique talents. And who was better suited to fill in the boots than his Creator? And so he knelt down and prayed to his God in these words: ‘Father, grant me the strength of Samson, the genius of Homer, the vigilance of Homogenes, the skill of Pyrrhus, the philosophy of Socrates, the prudence of Augustus and the subtlety of Hannibal’.

But the god of our persecuted man instead, gave him that which he never asked for: wisdom—precisely, the wisdom for our persecuted man to know that he needs not what maketh Homer or Socrates or Samson, but what maketh him.

And with his regained self-worth, confidence and newly acquired wisdom, our persecuted man arose and set forth on a dangerous peregrination. His mission?—to discover from relative obscurity, his mission and purpose. Even if he does locates this mission and purpose, would he fulfill it or betray it? Would he have the know-how, the jene sais quoi necessary in fulfilling it? This he knows not, but yet trudges on, latching on strongly to the twain handholds that has kept humanity orienteering through the dizzying vicissitudes of life: HOPE and FAITH—the hope that a heavenly light resides at the end of the tunnel, and the faith that it is not always about having the answers but believing your way through the questions.

I still chat colins up(matter of fact I've managed to keep close tabs on most of the clowns the site had to offer in real-life) and on facebook too. Lol! Here is my own whatsapp number...09059867221

Glad to see some ppl still visit the site.

Wow Candie! You are a mod on here even! grin

Miss you guys a whole lot. grin

Yuki, Littlebopeep, brittani28, munkee, cinta and even themightyleprechaun still hangout in one kobrawap group on facebook. It's top secret and only strictly by invitation(thru brittani or munkee) does one gain entry.

I was in there once, lol![once! Afterwards I got the boot! As payback for ruining kobra] grin

So how has life been for you? Lol! I want to know everything that has happened to you since the great desertion.
Ugh Munkee is an assole and I have no interest in knowing what he's up to. Never really liked Yuki.
It'd be nice to know what's up with Potheadjack though-- she's cool smiley
Bopeep? Nah! I'm just interested in my naija peeps abeg.
Did you ever hear from Lauraxx? She hated me coz I told her not to miss English class years ago when she got admission grin

God, I miss those days of fighting and chatting and everything else.

After Kobra I set sail to other foreign forums-- a good number of them, before finally discovering nairaland and anchoring here grin
I still visit Kb when I can. Your name appears to be the most familiar one there. Wonder where the site owner is now though undecided

I met with a couple of guys in Lagos sha-- mostly the chatroom dudes.
Sisqology is somewhere on NL. Spotted him one, using the same name.

Uju baby I've missed you so! Although you weren't an eryday frequenter of the site. I still miss you.
And for 4 solid years of being here I couldn't figure you out. You really are that good at hiding. grin or I never got to know you before.

It scares and pains me to think that I've walked and decked passed you in these halls severally and not suspected a thing.

It's almost like out of kobra we are someonelse and nothing like our kobra selves! cry

I've failed to also figure out who randy247 is in this pub(from the looks of it to, he should also be a mod). There is just too many ppl to give a fuss about an track. And as the years are counting, our paths are slowly dwindling into the dark! Ever distant and fading fast. I'm poised to care because I've come to realize that kobra will always be home.

You see, u wizard! again

kobra has moved on long age

Google has no right to take someones site down when the person has not offended or broken their rules, the website host has more power an that's if you've broken some rules too; but he hasnt broken any. The site isnt down because the bought a long life spanned hosting service
