Why great grand uncle receipt? Did you list that during your application ?

Oh no bro, it was a figurative statement to depict some unnecessary documents BCIE requires in their bid to make your application flawless.

You can still look into the Canadian Express Entry System and see if you have the points and put in the application now ....so by the time u are
graduating you have two options and can move closer to your brother if u want

I guess d only thing is d annoying application fees since ur focus is on ur fees first. ...but if u can do it cool . Many naija i knw back then did Canadian as a student as backup so as H1b no show , oya off to where u have PR.

Information Technology is a STEM program, which means you get 12months OPT, and 17 Months extension. The 17 months extension was increased to r 24months on may 2016. So STEM graduates get a total of 36 months on graduation.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what I garnered from my research.
I will definitely apply for the Canadian FSW program, but that would be after I get one year US work experience on graduation.
Well it's all a plan, hopefully God who brought this will perfect it.

Lol.... Thankfully there are many other schools so why must it be this one that uses agency tongue

SNHU does not require TOEFL, They don't require GRE. Their tuition is very very affordable from my i20 it say about 15,789 for 12 months Tuition and 14k for living expenses. Of course the living expenses will be subject to your life style.
I never new SNHU referred people to BCIE, because I aactually started my application with them.
Please note that BCIE got my admission first before I paid them there processing fee of 55k.

First of all this is inferiority complex, so you are planning to go overseas and make your accent better. Foh, you are about to spend thousands of $$$$ to change your accent. What in the world were you thinking, and which relative in their right senses will be willing to sponsor this Success in your exams
d IEP is a 2years degree course, and its 4 international students.

Perfect answer is don't waste your money my brother on this English as a second language and apply for your dream course after writing ielts or toefl.

Go and write toefl or ielts which is a requirement that will be used for you instead of doing English as a 2nd language for 5 months.

It seems you don't understand and know what English as a second language means when student were asked to do it for 5 months?

Is better you google to know the meaning and don't wast over $5000 in what you can use approximately $200 to do here in Nigeria.

Wise up and trust me its as if you want to go and write and do toefl or ielts class in US for 5 months with over $5000, does that make sense to you at all

But if you want to cry again, you can go ahead and reapply with it for visa interview..
tnx bro.. 1..how do i register 4 TOEFL,IELTS ? 2.. hw many months dos it take b4 d result comes out ? 3... can 1 use certificate from NIIT to apply 4 masters ? tnxxx
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by Observant: 8:08am On Jul 24, 2016
If I might add, because I got a lot of experience dealing with my refusals in Canadian embassy.

1.) Let your program of study be related to what you have been doing for the past 5 yrs. Or your undergraduate degree if you have or claim less then three yrs work experience.

2.) On ur ds-160 form please explain your role and function in the organization where you work as it pertains to your proposed program.

3.) Dress well and look very smart.( Not over dressing like suit o).

I know say na God do am for me o, but I have equally wondered why I wasn't asked any serious questions at all.

Good luck to us all

Go on ETS website, I think you can do everything online and pay with your ATM.
I took mine at the hallmark building never ajah around about. You can equally search for their centres close to you and visit there in person.

Before I comment, lemme ask you who paid the visa fee for you and which gtbank branch?

I guess you want to talk about ds160 code before if your gtbank reference code doesn't match how come you are able to book visa interview appointment? I hope you didn't
take old receipt to the interview ?

I paid the visa fee myself when it was still 32k at GTBank in UNILAG in may. But the appointment wasn't booked till about 4 weeks later. I definitely wont leave my passport with an agent so I paid myself.
As per receipt, I have only one. I'm sure there is no second one.
I'm going to get to the root of the problem on Monday.
A close pal of mine had the same issue last year. He said he had to pay for another appointment and book again. So I'm guessing that's what would happen.

Hello good peeps,
Please i am in a dilemma about what to do. This Port of Entry issue bothers and somehow scares me. Can one be turned back and deported if he lands in a different airport far from his school as a student visa holder. For instance, my school is in connecticut, but i want to land in Dallas to meet with my uncle before continuing my journey. Hope i wont be turned back? My orientation will commence on 24th August and i will be travelling by 17th.

If you are really a genuine student and would be resuming August 24 then u have nothing to fear but fear itself. ... you plan to go to school after your visit to uncle then simply book that ticket now and take it with u at POE incase they ask which they might or might not

So what is there to be scared about. Its a very easy and simple process if u are a genuine student, u can spend less than 1 minute there

Profile:
GPA: 3.61/4.00
GRE: 291.
School: Kean Uni, NJ
Course: Computer Information Systems (Ms)
So, I woke up by 3am, prayed to God and started preparing for my interview at 9:30. My dad was going towards Lekki so he dropped me @ the embassy, saw those sharp embassy guys @ the entrance, trying to break the windscreen in other to get me to snap passport or staple my passport on my docs. I totally ignored the guys like plague and chilled till it was time to call the 9:30 appointment time crew. Along the line, I was sent back to go drop my flashdrive, which I didn't know was on me. Went back and threw the flash somewhere and rejoined the queue. Got in, passed all the screening exercise and was on interview queue. Actually, I wasn't praying for any window, but the VO in window 9 was just sharing blue paper like gifts. I kept my chill. Finally, I heard next and went straight to window 4. The following conversations occured.

VO: hello gud morning
Me: good morning ma (I tried to smile but my cheeks didn't allow me, maybe I was scared or something)
Vo: pass me your ds160, passport, i20 and sevis, (passed all). *kept calm*
Vo: why are you going to the US?
Me: to have my masters degree in Computer Information systems at kean uni, NJ
Vo: why kean?
Me: kean is one of the best public schools in the US, they have gud research facilities and also I got a GA position where I will be working with Prof. James Collins on his research on cyber security
Vo: how did you find out about the school?
Me: I made my research based on cybersecurity, using google, usnesw.com and gradcafe.com
Vo: who is paying for this?
Me: I got a GA position and my aunt will be paying the rest.
(na so another round of drilling started)
Vo: did you write any standardized exams?
Me: yes, I wrote GRE, had 151quant, 140verbal and 3'.5 anw (vo stops typing and was just looking at me, I tried to smile again, but my cheeks just stand still)
Vo: why did you think you got the GA?
Me: I guess the school was impressed with the quality of application materials I submitted. The minimum requirement for GA position is GPA 3.25 while I had 3.61.
Vo: what did you have in your bsc?
Me: Computer science
Vo: when did you graduate?
Me: 2013
Vo: what have u been ddoing?
Me: I work with The Bells secondary school as a system administrator, my duties are update of schools website, maintenance of computers and management of students exam results using edalaf software
Vo: how many schools did you apply to?
Me: 3, kean uni, uni of akron, ohio and university of ibadan nigeria.
Vo: why kean? (again? But I don answer dis question before na? I sha talk something again)
Me: because I will be working on a research topic with Professor James Collins and I was also offered a GA
(She was typing and typing and typing for some minutes, I just dey pray for my mind) next thing I heard was "I will be approving your visa". I just went deaf. I didn't hear anything again. I walked out of the hall majestically.

Special thanks to Lagosismyhome( your the real MVP mam, God bless you, I will make sure my kids appreciate you too, stay blessed) , Walspring, imperiouxx, texrem, Oludare1, dickoflife, Ashbammy(my NJ partner), slimmy2005( even with all d abuse wey u abuse me, I still love you), femi234, gunther6 et Al. God bless you all. Amen.
NB: those yet to go for interview, I wish you the best, pray, be confident and get yourself informed. You shall get it. Blessings Fam!
one odeku for u. Congrats.

Hello,

I noticed you are confident enough but the responses might not be good enough. I can also deduce that you are going for your undergraduate (please correct me) and you probably did not check transcripts from this forum early enough however I think you have a good chance next time.

On international student's package-i am hearing that for the first time and if thats the reason for choosing your school then we have schools that can offer similar or better "package". Such response may notbe convincing enough- you should try to mention some important things here like the course, your interests in relation to your department, faculty members as well as current and past students.

You are also expected to know the website of your workplace not just because your uncle owns it but you also learned something about Web design.

About your "accent". That is the main reason you were declined. Rule number one-never make anyone feel you are not proud of who you are- your accent is your accent and you must accept this if you don't (as you showed), that means you are trying to distant yourself from your origin and by inference, you do not intend to associate with your home country hence 214B.

All the best next time.

I am impressed with this!!!

That's true. International travel is fun especially during the summer. Unlike winter, when the temperature is minus.

Airport is a little bit warm but outside is damn cold. And a lovely-looking female traveler will stare at you and smile and say hey, you look cool. 'I love your jacket.' The next question is where are you from? grin
