it's your uterus contracting especially when you are breastfeeding your baby. It will stop after some days. It's normal for women who have giving birth more than once

It's normal in subsequent deliveries after your first. It's called afterpain and it's worse when baby suckles.its your uterus contracting back to size. Take your pain relief drug, I guess they prescribed one for you after delivery. If not ibuprofen will do. Dooooh! It will finally stop b4 1wk post partum. Tkia

My Birth Story.

In the evening of Thursday, 11 August I notice traces of blood on the tissue after every urine.
I run to the thread to ask, mamas Liftedhands, Fortius and Callola reply and say it's early labour. GHEN GHEN!

Friday, 12 August I go first to the market to get nursing bras and then to work, what I feel is menstral like cramps.
At the end of the day, I go to bed at about 9pm, past 9.
At past 10pm to 11, menstrual like cramps gets intense. Keeps waking me.
It relieves me, I sleep back, it comes back again. On and off. Pain steadily increases.
At past 2am my groanings finally wakes DH, who suggests we head to the hospital.
"At midnight??! I'm not going, what if it is false labour? Everyone would make fun of me, first timer things", he keeps insisting until I finally agree to leave the house when it 4:30am.

Meanwhile I tell DH to put please put on the generator, I tidy my cloths, have my bathe and then watched TV for a bit.
At a few minutes to 5am, we leave home.

HOSPITAL
Arrive hospital at 5:05am.
Nurse does VE, says I'm 3cm dilated (I was hoping I'd be like 9/10 cm already, I was disappointed).
Doctor comes in, says I'm not acting like I'm in labor and I can't possibly be 3cm goes, he does VE again and I'm now 5cm gone (he doesn't tell me this)
I then ask if they are sure my baby would arrive that day, if not they should let me go back home. And they are like "you are in labour now, your baby is definitely arriving today" . OKAY!

I remain in the labour room with DH, pain continues to progress. And I'm like, "SO THIS IS LABOUR!"
At past 10am doctor comes in, ruptures membrane. The act in itself, painless but afterwards... O'boy and I thought I was in labour ealier!!
I'm then told "if you feel like pooing or pushing let us know". DH kept asking me over and over if I was feeling either. Nah.
Meanwhile I had no idea what "push" feeling was like. Why would I feel like pushing? The baby has been in my tummy since nah.
All this time, even with the strongest of contractions I wasn't shouting or screaming, I'd open my mouth like in a scream but no sounds. I kept saying "oko mi", "temi", "I can't do this", and DH would always answer back "you can do it". Lol. Oya na, coman do it for me!

So eventually I felt the "to push" feeling, "I want to push o, I want to push o".

DELIVERY ROOM
With every ANC I had asked my doctor if DH could stay with me, he said no problem, and then he says differently now. Ehen, my husband whose hands I've been holding since 5am (I had squeezed the life out of both hands. It's either I was squeezing his hands or begging him to squeeze my hands tight. Tighter! Tighter!) and so in my pains I'd to insist on DH staying with me.

I had no idea how to push. Doctor explained.
The push started, all that was coming out was poo. Lol.
I can't stop wondering now if DH is still sexually attracted to me after all he must have seen.
First thing he askes when he's eventually able to talk to me is "are you sure we are having more children?" cheesy
Eventually I got it right but I was exhausted. At this point, I'm already thinking "cut the crap, this baby can't come out of a vagina, I'm thinking of the other openings in my body, mouth, ears, what are the options of the doctor trying to birth the baby from one of these. Or should I ask for CS now? I was exhausted! I wasn't sure all the pain was worth it anymore. I just wanted it to be over.
And then the doctor says he can see the baby's head, askes DH if he could see it too.
That's perhaps what I needed. Hope. And then there were two more pushes!!

So at 40 weeks 5 days, at exactly 12:47pm on the 13th of August, 2016 my boss boyfriend, ObabiOlorunkosi arrives weighing 3.35kg.
Hallelujah!!!

ADDENDUM
The relief!!!!!! Inexplicable. Indescribable.

I had an episiotomy however, the doctor tried to hide the cut under a strong contraction but taaah! I felt it clear and sharp.
After my son was birthed and the site had to be stitched, ehen! that's when I shouted down the roof. That's when the whole hospital must have known someone was in labour. The pain is not here! I wasn't prepared for it.
I had readied my mind for labour pain but not epi or stitch back pains, cause I had prayed and prayed to God, no tears no epi (however God's ways are not my ways)

Motherhood hasn't been easy. It's taken me 12 days to come back with my BS.
Meanwhile house, my baby has refused to latch on to breasts even though I have begun to lactate. So we are on BMS, expressing breastmilk, cup and spoon. I need help and advice. Thank you.

So dear mamas, that is how I spent my 13th August 2016!
