Today's meditation.....
Words from St Theresa of Calcutta

We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.

In yesterday's meditation, is was said that nothing should hinder us from performing the works of charity. But I was left wondering, what if someone doesn't have the resource to help the needy, how then can he perform the act of charity every day.
Today, St Theresa has thrown the option wide open such that even in a state of "nothingness" one still have what it takes to help one another. The smile on your face, the beautiful words that comes out from your mouth, the little things we can do to put a smile on another's face, taking out your time to help a brother/neighbor with his little chores.... The options are truly wide...

We pray today that through the intercession of St Theresa, we may have the zeal and energy to show love to our brethren.....

Morning friends.....

Am gonna try and do something here, it's small, but I hope those involved do like it...or at least don't take offence. I'm going to say a prayer for these brethren,Xynerise, johnpaulo, odigiri1983, kaecyy, Handsomecole,Chimannadimele, Vanillaskin, endove, Sunnyside16, and RooseeyO. I hope it brings a ray of goodness in their lives.

Dear Lord, i wish to bring these brethren of mine before you, may you meet them at their points of need, create roads in their wilderness where it seem impossible, extinguish every dryness in their lives and transform them into rivers that never run dry, may your promise of mercy be upon them, and may your words of assurance in Is.41:10 be theirs, where you said "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness". Dearest mother Mary, ever virgin, intercede on our behalf, that these prayers be acceptable before our God. I make this prayers through Christ our Lord. Amen.

A splendid day ahead to all.

Thats one secrete i have learnt whenever i want to 'bribe God'

I have tried it several times, it really worked several times. Though it may look scary giving the little one you have, when you are looking for more. But trust me brothers and sisters, the SMILES on the faces of the needy, when they receive help from you, melt the heart of God and open doors of his blessing to you.

No matter how little it may seem, please DO NOT SAY NO.

Today's meditation....
Words of St Vincent de Paul to his congregation.

You will find out that Charity is a heavy burden to carry, heavier than the kettle of soup and the full basket. But you will keep your gentleness and your smile. It is not enough to give soup and bread. This the rich can do. You are the servant of the poor, always smiling and good-humored. They are your masters, terribly sensitive and exacting master you will see. And the uglier and the dirtier they will be, the more unjust and insulting, the more love you must give them. It is only for your love alone that the poor will forgive you the bread you give to them.

The last sentence sums up the reason why no matter the little things we have, no matter the scenario that hinder us from performing the act of charity..... We should never relent in helping our masters, the needy.

A wonderful day to you all.
