Two things they want to check.

Your ability to communicate in English language and your technical ability. Make sure you know everything about your masters thesis.

Good luck.

Is it compulsory to choose your master's thesis before being accepted for masters program?

Hi, I am having challenges submitting my manuscript for publication in the journal. The publisher provides no template as obtainable in most journals. The manual submission guideline provided is not explicit enough. Pls can you please shed light on how to prepare the manuscript? And if you don't mind, you may send me a copy of your submitted manuscript for guidance. Pls help a friend in need. My email add is nikenry@gmail.com

good evening.pls i have a question.for someone to qualify for direct ph.d in unilorin,i saw 60percent on their website thinking it is 4.0 on a scale of 5.0.but a friend told me that 60percent weighted average score is equivalent to 3.5 cgpa on a scale of 5.0.now my question is how true is this?

Actually, 60% means 3.0 but most reputable schools won't take that for PhD requirement.. The basic benchmark is 4.0 most especially within n outside without doing MPhill. A grade point less than 4.0 pegs such person to MPhil class of 2yrs b4 PhD..Daz y if someone wants to go 4 PhD direct he or she needs to get that grade of 4.0 to boost such chances

thanks sooo much.just finished my masters programme.but dat 4.0 benchmark is not an easy task.i asked a friend and she said unilorin accepts 3.5.i think if it is 3.5,there is still a realistic chance.thanks once again

point of correction 60percentile does not mean 3.0 us means when you raw scores is added it must be up to 60percentile e.g is y did 10 cos all tru your MSc period they will add your scores per cos like 55,65,75 and find the average if the average is not up to 60 then u can't do MSc that what most schools in Nigeria does sir

even UNN, uyo and more accept that. Mind u some time u have 3.5 and u don't have 60percentile so some schools will reject u accept they state 3.5 categorically on the application

If u took 4course and u had 2a,b and c let say the 2 a are 75 each and your b is 65 and your c is 59 all u do is add them u now have 274/4 = 68.5 percentile but your GP[quote auth even UNN, uyo and more accept that. Mind u some time u have 3.5 and u don't have 60percentile so some schools will reject u accept they state 3.5 categorically on the application [/quote] is 4.25 assuming all course units are 3 but u if another student has all round b and scores 69 in all he/ she will have 69percentile but Gp of 4. So moat time you may have high GP but low percentile

Please, I need someone to enlighten me on the disparity between professional and academic masters. What are the reasons why professional masters are terminal in nature?

I want to start my masters at Unilag in MIT (Masters of Information Technology) but learnt I can use it to apply for phD. Please, why? Do we have private Universities that accept professional masters for phD?

Please, help me.

Outside Nigeria, schools accept it. However, in the Nigerian context admission criteria are always less stringent that M.Sc, and a little less rigorous. Most admission committee know this as such they would insist on MSc. In essence, if your goal is to do a PhD in Nigeria, please just elect for a Master of Science degree.
