Thank you for your response. There is proof my step dad sends money for school fees feeding and rent, I'm 17 years, applied when I was 16.
*My step dad hasn't adopted me, he thought we would do that when I come to the uk
*my mom didn't do a DNA test but we are planning to do it before the appeal date is set.
*we included whatsapp and Facebook conversations, pictures of us when she was in Nigeria etc
*a family friend has sworn an affidavit on my behalf that I don't know the whereabouts of my dad
* the place I was staying, I was maltreated badly, so I left to stay with a family friend [the same person who swore the affidavit].
*a police report has also been made because the place I was staying before, my uncle was making sexual passes at me.
*we have included Facebook and whatsapp conversations between me and my step-dad but we don't talk much.
*I have no idea how to contact my real dad because he left me, I don't have his number or anything, i don't know how we can prove that.
Things are so complicated right now I'm really tired

Hey Ada, hang in there, its just for a while, it will all end in praise.. keep coming here to make enquiries and all and in no time youll be sorted out.
God Bless

Hello, have you been able to sort this out? For an EEA family permit, you don't have to send document actually, in my experience, I just went with all my documents which were scanned at the TLS centre. In my opinion, I think that's why you experienced the whole documents ish.

@olaD2a no I haven't been able to sort it out yet. Do you mean i don't have to sent the original documents to Sheffield, for an EEA family permit? After the first refusal we waited for 3 weeks and we still didn't get the documents back. So I reapplied and scanned all the documents at the TLS centre, and also sent copies to Sheffield, with a letter that they still have my original documents with them. I got an email a week later that the application is complicated and they won't be able to make the 15 working days. So 3 weeks later I received a decision has been made email. But on getting to TLS contact, My son's passport was returned without a decision. No visa issued or refusal letter. I called them the same day and on their system the application status is still in progress, they said a decision has not been made yet. The case has been escalated and I'm still waiting for their email. I called them today to know why I haven't gotten any reply and I was told they are still on it. I received my original documents back(For the first application)last week. I still don't know why the passport was sent back when the application is still in progress.

Hello all,

For those who have received the first 2.5 years visa, p,ease i have a question:

Is there a time limit one can spend outside the UK. I am told there is no time limit in the first 2.5 years visa as long as one does not spend more than 6 months at a stretch. Is this true? Someone else told me that its a maximum of 90 days per 12 months from issuance of visa.

Please could anyone guide me?

Thanks

Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 10:15am On Apr 05, 2017
What address did you send your supporting documents to?

What postal service company did you use; royal mail; DHL? Did you track it that your documents were delivered?

Sent it through DHL and i tracked it that it was delivered and picked up by a K Booth.

It was sent to the international operations and visa home office, uk visa and immigrations, sheffield

@Oluwatobii

@lollipop422 and @richdopeboi had the same issue. I hope they can explain how it was resolved.

lollipop422:

What did you eventually do? I sent the supporting documents to *International Operation and Visa, Home Office, UK Boarder Agency, UK VISAS AND IMMIGRATION, P.O. Box 3468, Sheffield, S3 8WA*. That's where we were told to send it by the VAC and on the TSL website. I believe we sent it to the right address, my hubby received an email on the 28th stating we should send it to the Vulcan House too.

What are you planning on doing?
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by lollipop422(f): 4:40pm On Apr 05, 2017
Hey,

I tried to email you back, it was saying email can not be delivered.

The email is automated, I am sure they have received it, to be on the safe side contact them via UKVI email form, and ask them to confirm receipt of supporting documents. it may take a week before they reply. They sent the same to my husband and later confirmed they had received it, so had the other guy that had the same issue.

hope that helps smiley

Hey Good people,

It's been a sweet move ever since I joined my wife and daughter in the UK. Got a job in less than a month after i arrived. And luckily for me, i continued in the same line of career i was in Nigeria. The FLR post by @portsmouth 86 was really helpful in knowing the things to do after my arrival.

My wife showed me this info yesterday and i thought of updating you all, in case you don't already know. The fees have gone up!

Application fee: From £1,195 to £1,464!
Priority fee: From £450 to £551!

You can look it up here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/visa-regulations-revised-table#history

What questions did the British embassy ask you when they called? Thanks

The questions asked was,
*firstly, they received an application from me, what was it for?
*secondly, how did i met my husband?
*thirdly, when last was i in Uk? went last year for visiting and early this year
* last question, why didn't i include him in my visiting application? I apply solely for conference, so i said i focus solely on conference, because the application wasn't intended for him

Sorry, I am replying late. Like I said earlier, you don't need to send any document to nowhere. Go with the original document of everything, make (if possible coloured) photocopy of documents that are not in A4 or are have tears, print out pictures, screenshot of communication etc in A4 coloured preferably. Then at the TLS centre, they scan everything and return your original documents to you. That is all. Don't forget to cross check the list given to you to ascertain that all ur documents have been highlighted. Human error might be inevitable.

Hello house. Please I need an advice. I am trying to screen shot my chats with my husband, but I just realised that what is showing in place of his number, is the name I stored his number with on my phone (Honey). should i just delete the name from my phone contact so that, his phone number can be visible?
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 6:20am On Apr 11, 2017
You don't have to delete his name. You can put a note to support the chats that you refer to your husband as honey thus the name honey is appearing on your phone.
