Aren't there Nigerian residents in Qatar? I don't think any embassies should hire over 90% foreigners in any country (if the twitter user is right) especially when there are Nigerian residents in those countries. Additionally,if the embassy intends to hire Nigerians from Nigeria, they can bring them over with an employment visa.

And if so, do you even think it's free to even advertise in a paper in the first place? Do you not know that you have to buy ad space from the paper first?

Nigerians are not allowed to visit Qatar on either tourist or visit visa (except for a relative/spouse sponsored by a Nigerian working in Qatar). The only way to reside in Qatar is only through company sponsorship (You must be offered employment by a Qatar based company). Nigerians CAN work if the Nigerian government employs them at the embassy. No excuses.

BTW: Indians also work at the Nigerian embassy in UAE.

First of all Consular officials are to have diplomatic clearance if the consulate is recognised by the country.
If a Nigerian consular official can't be given clearance for an assignment then the High commission must issue a petition to the foreign affairs ministry, this has nothing to do with labour.

If the positions were highly sensitive enough then they would have brought Nigerians from Nigeria who can take those positions. The fact they they are employing Indians and Kenyans for a job Nigerians can do shows that they don't care at all. Lastly, not all positions in the embassy are sensitive (cleaners, receptionists).

Thirdly, take off your nationalistic hat and look at it from a logical standpoint. There is not too many Nigerians in Qatar ib the first place which makes sense since qatar isca difficult country to get into so it probably makes sense to hire the next best thing they can find.

Ask yourself. .... is the embassy working better than those with all Nigerian employees?.....have you read of problems and protests at this embassy? .... if this is all the person was upset about then it is a good thing because they were professional the embassy was functioning well. This is not the only embassy where they employ foreign nationals and I can see the reasoning behind it. It cuts down on corruption and favouritism..... no special treatment because of tribe or politics or if one be oga or celebrity.
