The issue here isn't that the girl demanded her money....but that she did so with threats against her employer.

You are right. Though I am wondering if it was the madam that had issued the threat and the poor girl had reported the case if the useless madam would have been detained. While the sales girl committed a crime , a criminal offence by threatening someone, the madam did not, as wicked as her actions are.

Kids nowadays avail themselves with celebrity news, entertainment, sports and fashion but not the dire consequences of their actions.

Sending a text threatening one's family is legally different than if it were delivered verbally!

If it's true that she owes her salary. In sane countries, owing every debt is not a crime but workers salary is.

There is a possibility that:
The girl did not work for a complete month before traveling and was paid to cover only days worked.
The boss did not permit her travel which was probably why she employed someone else.
The girl could have borrowed money from her boss and the amount has now been deducted.
Anyway, we should always be careful about who we threaten as not everyone takes it lying down.

But for an helpless girl like that, at least the system should have provided her with a lawyer who could have argued down the bail condition. it's highly unreasonable.
