its for renewal o? So the person. Can go for renewal without going together?
No law says you have to apply together, even people that apply for settling Visa with dependants in some cases do not have to apply together
So they can apply individually and each case will be treated on its own merit.
Have you heard of situations where 2 people apply together and one gets the Visa and the other doesn't? that is the reality of visa application ( Merit)

It's unreal that UK visit visa is taking several weeks to come out . When I invited my Mum , a standard application took 3 days to come out.

I have just invited my sister and she submitted her application at TLS VI on 21st June. We got the messages from TLS to advise her application is with UKVI.

After 2 weeks(10 working days ) got email from UKVI that they have received the app and preparing for consideration.

Then I got a missed call from home office wanting to speak to me, they left a voice mail that they will call back which they did. (Basically confirming about the application etc).

I was then told we will get a decision this week or next. I did question why it will get into next week considering it's her week of travel and obviously past the 15days response time advertised. I was told we will hear back this week or next but can't give me ant further information. which is fair enough as the guy was pretty lovely on the phone.

I just feel processing times are hitting worst levels because they have introduced priority service which you can pay for and use if you need it quick . Also with brexit and EU nationals advised to apply for settled status befor Brexit deadline or face going through the UK immigration route, there are huge amount of applications coming through to Sheffield. Also considering that they have moved visa processing for several countries to Sheffield.

There is only much these guys can do. Just hope we hear something tomorrow or Monday at the latest. Very frustrating wait .
I am pretty sure they are overwhelmed, I have someone who applied as well on the 20th of June in Abuja and up till now nothing. No calls from the home office though.
She was supposed to be here for a Graduation ceremony which has now passed.
It will be interesting to see what the outcome will be.

Hello house. Thanks for your contribution on here. I want to apply for a study permit to Ireland and i am trying to prevent the refusal reason of money logdement. Their refusal reasons are pretty much alike with the uk. I will be sponsored by my mum who runs a business. She has an event center which is rented for 200k per day and customers come around almost every weekend. So the company account is good. Because company accounts cannot be used for visa applications, we intend on transferring the amount needed to her private account which she also runs. She puts money in the private account for day to day activities.
For my visa application, i am seeking the best way to transfer these funds in order not to raise eyebrows in the embassy. Should the funds be transferred from her business account directly to the private account so that it will be traceable to her company account or the money be withdrawn and paid directly into her personal account in order not to make them think we are using the business funds for the trip.
We have receipts for the hall rental and sale of drinks.
All i want to know is the best way to transfer these funds. Thanks

I will advice u don't do money transfer always.. U can do ATM transfer.. Most time withdraw and pay in cash with different names. So there won't be any suspicion

Kpele, I went thru this same stress but relax. I eventually used paga cos all the people that tried helping me with dollar cards were having difficulty. I called the paga customer care and upgraded my account by scanning some documents to them (proof of location, BVN and some other security questions) and I conveniently made payment. It's a safe way to make payment if you don't have a dollar account. Just keep calling their support line.

All the best.

Guys i finally got to pay via paga.
so for anyone who wants to use paga ..... here is what i did.... my little contribution to help others with paga payment.

1. i registered online
2. sent a mail to upgrade to kyc3 ....... i had to call for reminders... within 2 days i was upgraded.
3. i used the old uk online application ... the one with fco.....
4. visa fee for 2years is now 455dollars....... in naira i paid 158,794.91 via paga
5. visa fee for 6months is now 120 dollars ....... in naira i paid 41,879.98. via paga

Thank you guys for your help in trying to pay.

@Sandraa, Gtb have recently lifted the restrictions on international transactions so I'm sure everyone can now pay with their gtb naira master or visa debit cards.

Thanks! Please update me when you get any other message(s) from them. I haven't gotten any message from them yet, did mine on the 5th of July.

I've just got another mail now.

Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre.  Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.

If you have made a Settlement application (except for applications lodged in USA and Canada): you must ensure that your UK sponsor has sent all relevant supporting documentation to the UK Decision Making Centre in Sheffield.  The documents should be arranged in this order: application form and relevant Appendix* (See below); English language evidence; relationship documents; maintenance documents; accommodation documents.   If documents are not received a decision will be taken on the basis on the information that has been provided.

If you have already had your supporting documents scanned in at the Visa Application Centre, or if you have already sent them in to us, please ignore the request for documents.

Please note that UKVI aims to complete all Visit Visa applications within 15 working days and all Settlement Visa applications within 12 weeks of the application date.  If it is not possible to complete your application within this timeframe a member of our team will contact you to explain why.

If you have paid for Priority Service, your application will be placed in front of the queue and assessed ahead of other non-priority visa applications.  As indicated in the terms of service, the amount paid for the priority service, as well as the visa fees, is not refundable if the visa application is refused or if the decision is delayed.

We regret that we are unable to respond to enquiries asking about the status of any application.  Any status enquiry should be made to the international enquiry service, details of which are on the GOV.UKwebsite.  Staff at Embassies, visa processing centres and visa application centres cannot assist with visa enquiries.  You may also wish to view the current processing times for applications made in your country.

A further email will be sent to you to confirm when your application has been assessed and dispatched.  If your application was made in a Visa Application Centre, the staff there will contact you when your documents are ready – please do not attend the Centre until you are requested to do so.

Please note that you are advised not to purchase flight tickets until you have secured a visa for travel to the UK.

*List of Appendices:
Appendix 1 - Children / Other Dependants
Appendix 2 - Spouse / Partner
Appendix 4 - Pre-flight family members of Refugees
Appendix 5 - Access Rights to Child

Further information is also available on the UK visas and immigration website.

Kind regards,

UK Decision Making Centre

exchange rate is 375 for 1dollar.

calculate 455 x 375 = 170,625
or 120 x 375 = 45000

Please everyone am seriously pleading for help this time around cos I seriously need a reply as soon as possible.
I've once posted on this thread as regards uk settlement visa.
The thing now is am done with tuberculosis test and my dad should be in Nigeria in 3 days time and my ielts test is on sept 14. The question now is
1* should I apply without the ielts test result or I should apply after the ielts test so as avoid being refused visa.
2* So far the documents I think I will be needing
are
International passport, bank account statement, tuberculosis test result, Birth certificate I have one that was collected in year 2003 I dont know if am good to go without paternity test since the birth certificate is more than 13 years.
Justwise and everyone please help me look into this.
And please I think links being posted is kinda too complex for me so please everyone with info should just spill it here wo that others can learn from it as well.
Thanks everyone

I would assume @Daojay wanted to find out what average household salary/income would be considered sufficient and adequate enough if he/she were to apply for a UK visa alongside two other members of his/her family.

Yes thanks @Brightingsus, exactly what i meant. What is the average income a family of 3 will need to be sure of being granted a UK visa all things equal

No matter the visiting visa you have either 6 months 2 years or 5 years you are only allowed to spend 6 months at a stretch in the uk. You can then go back to Nigeria and come back to UK the next day you would have satisfied thr conditions of your Visa

Called them on wednesday and they told me that they had taken a decision the day before which was on tuesday. so today i got an email from TLS ikeja saying my application has been assesed and passport ready for collection. will be going on monday to collect it because they dont open on weekends . when you call UKVI though you have to pay. its £1.37 per minute so you need a credit/debit card with you because they will tell you to input the numbers of the card, expiry date of the card and Cvc of the card
