My wife's visa was refused . The ECO said some unexplained funds were paid into her account. I supported those funds with my property documents as rents paid into my wife account from my tenants , even with rent receipts. I just feel it was a big time mistake applying in the first place
Sorry about that bro, Is the rent a monthly, annual or biannual ?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Sagamaje(m): 5:34pm On Aug 04, 2017
@Advisory is annual rent . I even wrote a cover letter explaining those funds . UK VO's mostly takes drugs at times when making decisions on visiting Visa's. Now they scattered our plans . My wife z preggy and would have applied for child tourism to US Rather than the delay and at the end rubbish

That's rather unfortunate to be honest in this case it would have been helpful to include an annual statement reflecting the rental payment for the previous year coming into the account. But am explaination with a rental contract should have been enough

Yes I agree with @Advisory. An annual rental receipt for a previous year in addition to the current would have knocked the ECO off their game. You know, UKVI usually has a quota (so an insider told me) of how much visas to give a year. When you apply, on face value they look at your application as not genuine. Then they would consider the application and they are looking for loopholes to deny you. When they have no justifiable reason to deny, then they issue.

The ECO might have looked at those documents as not genuine thinking they were arranged for the purpose of the visa (which is silly to assume). So if there was evidence of a pattern of rents paid into your wife's account before this 2017, that could have sufficed.

I'm really sorry but i can't. Just come up with an itinerary that groups tourist attractions together. So if you are staying in Manchester and want to go to London to see some sights, either book a hotel for one night in London or write it clearly on your schedule that you will go to so and so places in London and return by night train. When writing tourist attractions, you can't write that you will go to Alton Towers, go to water park etc on the same day. These are attractions that are full day entertainment on their own. It would also be good to put like a daily schedule so that it shows that you have done some research and are prepared rather than some random tourist attractions.

Kindly remove your mail address, scammers can be on the prowl.

Ok thanks.

Yea, None is correct because it's just a 6months visit visa and you don't need the health surcharge number.

McGibson, have you tried using the Ukvi link to check the status of your application?

Some of us applied 6th June and yet no repsonse. Oo soo keep waiting.
iWasNotHere:
please how did you use the UKVI website because i have tried tracking my application but always writing error. I submitted on the 23rd of June in Ikeja. Went there twice (last week & this week) not ready. It's 6weeks+ already, so tired of this waiting. My Intended travel date is July 24
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by uptown17: 8:19am On Aug 05, 2017
wow that long. keep ur hopes high. with this delay! the visa should just be on the passport when picked abeg!
but i was wondering, what happens to hotel bookings that you will be charged first night for no show, considering some people's travel dates have passed yet their passports havent been returned. did you move the hotel dates forward or cancelled or what?

Hi fam. Please I need clarification on this I intend applying with two bank accounts, both belong to me and presently I don't have the time luxury to move to one account and use it.
Here's my fix: On my international passport my name is stated as Ajah Obinna Okey that's what my CAS and one of the accounts bear. On the other account my English name was added: Ajah Obinna Christopher. Do you think this is an issue or should I just get an affidavit.
P.S I'm doing a tier 4 application.

Elders,

I'm really worried oooh.

Since the 13th of Last month, I have received the decision made email from Sheffield. I was advised that my passport would be with TLScontact in 10 working days....15 working days have passed now and TLS say my passport has not been given to them. I visited the British High Commission and I didn't get much help as the guards did not permit me to see anyone.

Is anybody else in this situation? Is it a common occurrence for a decision email to be sent and the reciept of passport delayed?

Any advice?

Have you called the Ukvi customer care rep?

Yes, I was told I would get a response in 15 working days....that would be on the 21st. I'm hoping I can sort this out before then.

Sorry, similar thing happened to me, i think its rather strange to say unexplained when it was explained. If they said unsatisfied it will make more sense. That was exactly same statement used for me. At a point i was wondering if they saw all the document.

As quite a few people have complained of the ECO stating they did not explain funds or other parts of their application and thereby denying them, I just do hope the TLS truly scans all the documents submitted to them by an applicant. Do they really scan them documents before the applicant or they scan after the applicant has completed biometrics and left the facility? To be honest, I prefer the old style of sending hard copy documents to Sheffield. Just my thoughts...
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by NijahNinja: 8:11am On Aug 06, 2017
I wasn't allowed to speak to anyone.
Brightingsus:

Of course they will allow you speak to someone, definitely. I am not saying your passport is certainly at the embassy but if you read many pages back on this forum, you would see posts of people that got decision email but no collection email from TLS and had to take the bull by the horn; went to the embassy and lo and behold the passport was there.

However I understand your case is that of spouse visa. You could still try. On the flip side, if you have a sponsor like your spouse, get them to contact UKVI from the UK and make the complaints.

Remember when you get a spouse visa, it comes with a one month period for you to travel by (leave Nigeria by) and if you haven't left Nigeria by the end of that one month period, your spouse visa becomes invalid. So if I were you I wouldn't relax. This matter ought to have been escalated since, which usually is a consequence of contacting UKVI.

That is pathetic. Second option is get your UK spouse to contact UKVI and make the complaints.

Hello. I am in the same exact position (although my decision was on the 13th of July) any update on your case? Have you collected your passport?
amehrada:
Mine was June 12th at VI and decision has been made since June 28th but I'm yet to get my passport. My stepmom I applied together with has traveled since last week. Infact the reason I wanted to travel was to attend my bro's graduation and also spend some time with his family. The graduation took place two days ago. Though I've called ukvi to escalate for me as at last week. Still hoping to get the visa because I still intend to travel just to spend some time with my bro's family

All submited document are scanned in the presence of the applicant. The documents are separated into sections and scanned according to itemised documentation request on UKVI websites.
