Explain his jobless state. The guy understands the Bible more than the Bible merchants themselves...they should stop demonising him and face facts headlong. Tell us the currency God prefers most...As for now, Freeze is the slayer of fake Men of gods.

na so dem go dey talk wetin dem no know.....bill gates is an atheist abi?, even larry page is an atheist?....was it not bill gate that openly admitted his believe in God....even albert einstein was not a christian and he openly condemned atheism but he had a different view of God as a being who would not interfere in the life of his creatures and dictate what they should do or not do....every body have there own view about God , that does not make them atheist.
no matter what, he should be still be on list your argument rather means they are agnostic not Christians, I hope you know what that means

Pay your tithes to avoid divine curses ...... is this Biblical?..... or a desperate threat to his tithe throwers? The pastors will never respond to Freeze directly. But Freeze is affecting their income and t hey not going to sit by and do nothing about it. If the church mafia can't counter Freeze's message... then they will have to get rid of the messenger.... by any means necessary.

Statements like that are called "psychological forcing". If they do not work on you, they work on thousands of sheep out there and it's time you start to worry about them.

In Yoruba tradition we do Saara.

try it for 6 months and see the difference in your life grin
Every month buy a Bag of rice and carton of chicken fish turkey according to your means cook and feed the poor .
Do this for 6 months. Your life will never be the same.
Otherwise go to a hospital near you and pay someone's bills every month. That is better than giving to any GO
You will feel better when you see the hungry people being fed.
I am reminded of the oyinbo woman who saved that little boy accused of witchcraft. I don't think she pays any tithe but what she did is what Jesus talked about. To see a person in distress and refuse to ignore it.That is real Christianity not the hypocrisy of "investing" in the name of paying tithes.

How many of these so called Christians have ever helped anyone?

I don't even know why this tithe issue is such a big topic and why freeze keeps hitting on pastors
Thanks for that question.
Frz I only try to open the eyes of Nigerians. Our money are being used for luxury by those pastors (all of them). He proved it biblically that tithing is wrong. Let them prove him wrong also that tithing is right (with bible reference), they cant do it, they keep beating around the bush. Look at timi dakolo's reply, even the recent viral video of pastor adeboye wasn't addressing anything at all. I'm still waiting for that real pastor who will give frz what he wants. I stand with frz

If you don't want to pay tithe, it's your business. Leave the people that pay and want to pay. It's our lives, and we have rights to take personal decisions.

Why is this an issue sef, No one is forcing any one to pay. If u want to pay it tithe, PAY IT!!! And if you are not interested. KEEP your money.. it's not a do or die affair.. Everyone is just shouting "Tithe oo" U ppl should leave us alone jare

Aunty they are forcing you o! When they tell u you will incur devine curse or invite poverty or threaten you with hell if u dont pay it, its called force.

If a police man tells u to give him 50 naira or he shoots u, he is forcing u to part with that 50 naira. Its the same thing these prosperity preachers do.

I'll advise you to stop paying until these pastors clear your doubts. It's just an advice wink

I don't think anyone has the right to tell another how he/she should spend his/her money, except of course the Mother/Father (even they can only give advice nothing more).
I don't understand why some pple are pained that somebody is paying tithe. Is it not their money? They have the right to spend it as they like. Dont use drug for another person's headache!
We should be more concerned about the money we are forced to pay (tax) and is not being utilized. Let's hold public office holders accountable!! This affects all Nigerians: male/female, young/old, North/South, Christian/Muslim. Unlike tithe which does not concern everybody and for those concerned (Christians) it is still voluntary! You pay because u want to, it is not deducted from source.
I said it before, this issue is of no benefit to the society in any way.

Hmm. I pay my tithe and Not supporting or opposing daddy freeze, but the pastors should explain more to us about tithe with Bible verses.

That's the issue with most of you guys. You want explanation from your pastor. Something that's open inside the Bible. Read, you won't read. But you think that if your pastor see where go spoil his market for Bible, him go show u abi.

I did not even need to read what freeze had to say and I am not being sentimental. There is something bishop oyedepo always says, he says do not trust everything a man of God says. If he says something, search the bible and if it is true, accept it and if it isn't, discard it. So because I think adeboye is busy with more important things like using tithers money to build maternity wards where women give birth at almost no cost, I will help him put some bible verses out
Mal 3v8-9
Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, “How have we robbed you?” In your tithes and contributions. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you.

Mal 3v 10-12
Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts. Then all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts.

From my understanding of tithes, you do not always have to pay it to a church or pastor, you can use it for charity.
Remember the parable of the sheep and goat?
Matthew 25v 31-46

When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,[a] you did it to me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

u made my day
Don't mind me my brother. I too go to redeemed , but I have grown above all those doctrines. The day that understanding hit me was the day I knew it is not easy to have faith or believe in the words of God. It takes force and might to believe in God's words over the voice of man, because we dont see God physically. For example, if Christians were to debate the issue of wine as an alcoholic drink, then you will know that another Hurricane has come. But I observed that God is wise and has used little things to make the wise foolish, so that nobody will claim any glory. That is why, even when we think we know, we really dont know, because there will always be a superior knowledge to what we pride in. Nd that is why we need to bow to the truth when we see it, so that we can remain humble.

Our concern is valid. Churches are set up under the law as "Charities" that means their incomes are tax exempt. This law is vigorously enforced in places like the UK and that is why Ashimolowo got into trouble for using church money as his own.You cannot do that. You alsos must subject your accounts to audit.

In the alternative you can shed charity status , set up as a business and crucially, PAY TAXES to government.

If churches are getting 10% of people's incomes that potentially is a parallel government in terms of the total money involved. It is a public concern issue because that is money that should be going to government .If people can afford to pay tithe then they can afford to pay 10% to government.
Even government does provide a lower income threshold so that the poor are not taxed. But churches demand tithe from everyone
