Cherez I love you ....no homo.... How I wish all youths in the country can reason this way. Where we put tribalism to a corner and work for the greater good of the nation. To be honest, as you've posited, every tribes in this nation have their share of the blame as to what happened in the past. The Hausas, the Yorubas and the Igbos. The problem is that non of the tribes is ready to take their share of the blame.

The question is, is it possible that the youths of this nation can come together as one and help our nation to achieve political stability? Can we kick tribalism from among us the youth? Unlike in the past, all tribes in Nigeria now have highly educated youthful population. Hence, if merit is used as yardstick to pilot the affairs of our nation, we will surely get equal representatives from all tribes.

I observed though that the messages the educated ones among us passes down to the less educated is taken hook line and sinker. I've been with less educated Igbos and I know how they wouldn't see anything wrong with NK. Some even believe he has mystical powers that NA can never capture him. You might say they are deluded, however, it's the messages passed down to them by the educated ones among them that gave them that believe. I've also been with less educated Yorubas and know how their believe system works. The messages passed down to them is taken without verifications, some of them cannot see what's wrong with Buhari government no matter what. One particular yoruba woman was telling me that Nigeria was better during GEJ era because GEJ was sacrificing Nigerians through bokoharam. She meant GEJ used bokoharam to carry out rituals. Surprisingly, these were passed down to the uneducated among us by the educated population through media. We know how influential the educated hausa youth can be on the less educated.

You see, my point is, can we do something to take off these tribal sentiments and push our nation to a better place as youths? Can we work together for a better political environment irrespective of our tribal or religion disparities and push our nation forward developmentally?
