No need for fear. Your visa is waiting for you. I have a question pls. How did you successfully contact home office for the link to IHS? By email or letter to Sheffield address?

Amen!!! Thanks dear.... I wrote them a letter and sent to them telling them about my error in the application and asked they please send me the link.

Hello house,

Great work and support going on here.

Please can someone confirm if I can scan documents (TB, Degree Certificate, Birth CERT. etc.) so he can print in coloured to add to supporting documents.

I initially thought the scanning service was available in Naija and told him to scan all his documents. Printed all today and lo and behold I found this great forum.

1. Does anyone know the current timeline for priority settlement visa based on posts?

2. Did anyone use the VFS Barcode Separator for their supporting documents or just went with a flow( please share).

Thanks for your help.

Hi guys so I’ve been a silent follower of this thread since I decided to apply for a UK spousal visa. Your posts (especially timelines) were very helpful for me and I thought I could help another person by sharing mine as well.

Type of Application: Settlement - Wife (Priority)
Application Submitted: 23 Oct
Supporting Documents sent to Sheffield: 3 Nov
Email confirmation of documents received: Never got one
Application Decided: 26 Nov
Visa Picked up: 26 Nov

All in all took about 1 month and was much earlier thank we expected but we are very grateful to God for how smooth the application process was.

For those deliberating about whether to send WhatsApp messages or what to send for their applications....remember that everyone’s circumstances are different. I feel things like travel history and general background of the individuals applying (especially your spouse) matter a lot. Put yourself in the shoes of the visa officer. If there is something you are uncomfortable about rather than lie or ignore it explain it in the additional information section...that’s what it’s there for. If you have substantial travel history show that that you do...make them see that your desire to relocate is because of your spouse. If you don’t have the pictures put the steamy conversation from your WhatsApp, if not put the pictures you have. Look through the guidelines carefully and make sure you put all the necessary documents to show that you just want to start the rest of your life with your spouse. No one wants to willingly keep two people away from each other if they genuinely love themselves (of cause there’s the bit about proving you won’t be using U.K. public funds for the next 5 years but yea that’s how developed countries protect themselves )

I’m sure all those waiting will have successful applications! God has already done it for us.

Please what magic was used lol.... or could it be because of the mistake they delayed?

In my case, I simply arranged the documents the way they requested. No pins and staples.. After your biometrics, you will be instructed on how you will arrange your documents too

Now you are almost becoming Oliver Twist.......

Whatever you do, only submit original documentations (chinko aka scan or photocopies are not allowed)

You submit scanned or photocopy documentations, we would tell you the result of your application, way before you submit......

Fingers crossed!

Hey, hope you’re great. I just had my biometrics today. Your partner literally needs just the international passport and the front page of the application form. He should take a photocopy of his datapage and the appointment confirmation mail (print out)- just to be able to enter. It’s simple and easy.
