they have to present their candidate ,honestly if buhari is presented again then apc has a very very very slim chance . in the next couple of weeks , most likely by February , ppl will start moving from one party to another .

If what you saying is the true situation on ground in that region, then it may work against Atiku. This is reminiscent of the Lagos scenario during the last governorship elections, where the perception of Jimi Agbaje being an 'ibo candidate' lost him a lot of sympathy/goodwill amongst his kin in the state, and ultimately cost him the election.

Exactly my point, and the APC campaign is likely to use that tested and very potent tool against Atiku. For his own good he'd better shake off that "ibo candidate" facade otherwise it will come back and bite him very hard in the butt.

well sincerely, timing is everything, a few months ago the sentiments would have had a different tone, pmb was terribly sick and away, the economy was bad, moral was generally down. now things are looking up, the economy isn't as bad and pmb is looking healthier than even when he was contesting against Gej. all these I'm sure would constituents a very unpleasant migraine for Atiku. he really needs something to campaign with, restructuring is ok but not potent enough as the national assembly is the ones with power to change the constitution.

Lol Atiku's idea of restructuring which EXCLUDES fiscal federalism and resource control is enough to cost him support even from his core base (SE/SS).

The insults that Atiku suffered from ipods when that "Atiku idea of restructuring" thread hit the FP is a valid pointer to that fact grin.

You can keep playing ostrich for as long as you want, but it doesn't change the reality of the North + SW deadly electoral efficacy.

Atikuchukwu's IPOB endorsement is the final nail in the coffin of his presidential ambition.

.You have no campaign points for your failed and mega clueless buhari cos there are none..The only cards you have to play is to tag Atiku as an IPOB member just because some Igbos appear to be supporting him, thats how empty you lots are undecided.

By the way,Where and how did IPOB endorse Atiku??...so any Igbo person who supports Atiku means its an IPOB endorsement..Yet you lots claim all Igbos are not IPOB during the heat of Nnamdi Kanu...Its not your fault though, iblame the silly Igbos dissociating themselves from IPOB and listening to folks like you then..

When push comes to shove, they will be tarred with the same brush as Ipob and punished accordingly.

There is nobody being played here. Its a tactical game at the moment. The East will always vote PDP. The south west votes is what the PDP needs at most now. They already have %75 of the votes from the SS & SE If the elections are not rigged. Someone like Atiku will get at least considerable votes from the north. Something has to be offered the SW to get their votes or the will align with the Devil they know.

so the SE will be played again? hmm na wa o!

Reducing BH from an occupying military force that took over the region with tanks and administrative headquarters, to a ragtag guerrilla group is a major campaign point in Athiefkuchukwu's NE, so you have no point. As we speak, the region is being gradually rebuilt thanks to PMB.

This is just the beginning, IPOB members feverish support for Athiefkuchukwu is just the icing on the cake of his serially failed candidacy and will be his greatest undoing yet.

PDP just confused themselves, and wait after they fail election in 2019 they will still blame APC for their failure.

Before now, I used to say PDP has internal arrangement more than any party in Nigeria but that one is before.

Zoning chairman and vice to South south and south east is nothing but suicide, marginalising southwest is not a good bet for any party that wants win an election in Nigeria. I'm a northener but I have since realised this.
You know nothing! Aside the chairman every zone produce deputy national chairman. Again, this is not confusion but, sound politics without imposition! PDP is on the right track!

this is not a South West matter, it's a pdp South West matter (that incidentally appears to be on life support) it's either they let it die or they find the donors for the organs it needs to survive. it's left for the pdp to decide if the cost of winning the southwest is greater than the advantage/loss from those who would have to donate the organs(I'm looking at South East viz the vp slot. grin they are I'm afraid the only compatible donor) jokes apart though, the pdp needs south west.
True, the PDP needs the SW but the members from the region also need to do their own part to safeguard the interests of the region..coming up with 6 candidates, none of whom are ready to step down for the other is not exactly in the interest of the party, especially with the threat of litigations to follow..

I'm pretty certain Atiku's opponents are very happy, celebrating his eventual disgrace once again, even two years before elections. He can not win and can not be allowed to fly a failed umbrella of deception.

It shows how politically naive you are. Northerners are politically savvy and look at the bigger picture. Immediately Buhari was sworn in , they started looking at who could contest against him in the North for 2109, once he had the South west's(Asiwaju) backing. Now that's a forgone conclusion. There's no Northern candidate that can withstand Buhari, I don't know which foot soldiers for Atiku your talking about, even Atiku's children have been going around pleading with his friends to talk to their Father to drop this never ending dream.

Atiku was dead on arrival in the North without the Ibo tag. despite all the dollars he spent at APC convection Kwankwaso beat him. Look and watch

pdp southwest being in shambles does not equate to lack of unity. people like me don't care about the pdp, even though we are not totally happy with the APC. if we had a third option I'm telling you even APC would be terrified. pdp is just about to make another mistake just like they made with sheriff. I'm not saying secondous is not fit.pdp needs southwest and Atiku needs to find a way to get southwest pdp to unite, to work for him else the party will fail in southwest. giving APC even more advantage than they have at the moment. I want a close race between pmb and Atiku but at the moment it's not looking good for pdp, there's still time though.

Yorubas are sellouts and can't be trusted...
Re: PDP Chairmanship: North Dumps South-West by Nobody: 11:42am On Dec 07, 2017
Atiku really has no political value in Northern Nigeria.A Kwankwaso or even Lamido will take him.We are sure of Buhari's value up North,12million standing votes for then CPC against all odds plus more.Politics is like football.

And the APC campaign will be a commissioning galore for roads, bridges completed or built by Buhari's APC and with a stronger economy and a relatively peaceful NE/SE,the rag-tag,weather-trounced,thieving retrogressives called PDP,will be beaten once again in a seamless election. The 2019 victory of APC was set up years ago.Politics is chess.

It's politics not tribal talk.

By 2012 January,we knew Jonathan was going to lose in 2015 and announced it here,we were villified.I'm Jonathan's SS kinsman. But it's politics not about where anyone is from.

Three things to ponder.

1. Has Atiku won the primary, why is he already adopted as PDP flagbearer?

2. Why is North the one sharing out who will do what and the South does not see a problem with that?

3. Lessons should be learnt.from Babangida's life. He commited so many atrocities and injured every section of this country. Now he is afraid of the many victims out there waiting to injure him, so he hides away from public. A former leader should be dignified not paranoid of the state he once led.
