In the book of Matthew chapter 13 the Lord Jesus talks about the parable of the sower. All apart from those who fell on the good turned back to their evil ways because they had no roots in themselves. The psalmist said thy word have I laid in my heart that I may not sin against you. Now my question is how much of the word do you know. As a christian you need to read the word to know the mind of your creator. The bible is like the manual (manufacturer's mind on paper) and except you read it you will not know how the product (you) is expected to function. Secondly you need to find a church where sin is blatantly forbidden and need to make friends with those who are serious with their faith as evil company corrupts good manners. Thirdly engage in envangelism yourself. Try to win souls for God. Finally be serious with your faith. Jesus said in matt 10:39 that "he who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it". The preceeding verse talks about carring your cross and following him. As a christian there are certain things you need to avoid. Work out your faith my brother. See you in heaven

U must do something to be saved and that is ur confession if Jesus as ur Lord and saviour . That is why the bible says ' with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation'. Romans 10:10.
And after receiving salvation u stil need grace to maintain it. That is why the bible says in Philipians 2:12 that u work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

What grace does is to enable u mauntain ur salvation thru faith

as someone who was in your shoes I'll recommend you read the book the overcoming life by watchman nee. basically you will come to the understanding that there is nothing you or me can do to save ourselves no matter how hard we try we cannot save ourselves it's only God that can save us. so here's the way say a sincere prayer to God that u leave it all to him even the ability to make u leave the old things behind and In a few days come and thank me

IMO > You are still born again. You are conscious and battling with some sins in your life ....causing you to backslide or think you are no longer born again...God created us in such a way that we can never be perfect ......praying and being steadfast in him will keep us going
