There's some fallacy in your point: you are using the other reasons why people give as a cover for the controversial first fruit giving.

The matter on ground is whether you are mandated to give your first salary to God/church/pastor or not.

If you tell people to give to God (and that they will also receive in more fold from God), people will give. (no one's gonna have issues with that)

If you tell people to give to further God's work, people will give. (no one's gonna have issues with that)

But making people give to God (in order to receive) or making them give to further God's work by telling them that they are mandated to give their first salary is where the problem is.
