If you can't get a job immediately in the uk try volunteering in citizens advice around your town or locality while you still job hunting.
Nice opportunities there including free training to enhance your skills.

Have a bless week

Just had a baby recently and am appealing my spouse visa which was refused last October. What are my chances and would the child help during the appeal

The child would not necessarily help during the appeal, if anything...... It raises the required threshold.....

What has changed from the rejected documents, to the new documentations you are appealing with?

And why was your original application rejected?

Before the consideration of child you need to tackle reasons for rejection once the loop whole is closed then empathy comes in (staying as a family sake of the child)

God bless you o.. been thinking of how outrageous their fees have become. This is close to day light robbery! Well if Nigeria wasn't backwards, we wouldn't be in the UK in the first place, to have to condone such ill-treatment. Its paining me more cos I am budgeting about 5k quid just to bring take my family for a weeks visit there. It is well o.

Can't believe I watched the above video to the end, valid points made though. If you are applying for the first time, make consultations o, all questions are relevant, the application money no be small money and these people are looking to take as much from you as possible, milking the cash cow as our in-house oga will say. Won't be surprised if there are plans to increase fees again with the hit they are projecting the economy will take due to brexit.

For my people already past first stage will suggest putting aside something maybe<<#50 a month, depending on your income, so when the time to apply for FLR, your finances won't take a big hit, another option is the credit card but all in all we will pay sha.

All the best as we 'fagburu' and try to make a better life for ourselves and family and big thank you too those that guide us here on making our application.

Our consultation and consultants, all work from home. We do not charge any fee.... Does she charge a fee, for her services?

And yes, plans are afoot to initially increase IHS fees (double) + next would be application fee + IELTS etc etc

Be like say Britico's go start to marry themselves (no more importation of wive's & husband's) .........

I would personally advise you to send your results to NARIC, for evaluation purposes....

The cost of the evaluation is way cheaper than another application or appeal waiting periods........

I know about the council tax grin grin I was lucky to have dodged it for a few months in the UK (as a student), its ridiculous but that's what they use to maintain the community so I don't complain much, besides Cheshire isn't so expensive.

No I am not in the UK yet, I am hopeful that my spouse visa is a success cos we are planning the white wedding there, hence my needing my family over. But like you said, I have to lock up and save it sad. As for handwork, my dear, God did not bless me like that o, my sister was applauding me the other day for sewing the strap of my singlet back grin, but I will try my hands on the ebay stuff. Thank you

Good luck on your submission. I pray the IHS wouldnt have increased before then.

As per your first question, You will get a mail of how to arrange your documents when you submit your application but this is how I arranged mine.

1. Basic Information
a) cover letter and applicant’s cover letter
b) Visa Application form & copy of applicant’s passport
c) Appendix 2
d) Applicant’s English language evidence (Master’s degree from UK university)
e) Sponsor’s British passport (copy)
f) Applicant’s birth certificate/declaration of age
g) Applicant’s first degree certificate and Business Analysis Certification
h) Applicant’s IHS payment confirmation
i) Tuberculosis Test Certificate

2. Proof of Relationship
a) Registrar Marriage Certificate
b) Copy of Newspaper publication of Applicant’s change of Name
c) Evidence of communication (Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, WhatsApp Calls)
d) Photographs of Civil ceremony, pre-wedding and random photos
e) Flight tickets to Nigeria.
f) Hotel Booking in Hilton Manchester Deansgate Hotel

3. Proof of Maintenance and Accommodation
a) Sponsor’s Tenancy Agreement
b) Letter from the Letting Agency (confirming suitability)
c) Utility and Council Tax Bill
d) Bank Statement of Account
e) Letter confirming sponsor’s employment and salary from my employer
f) Letter from housemate
g) Pay-slips.

For your second question, pins are not allowed (I think), so I cut strips of papers and banded the documents for each alphabet, then I put all alphabets in their respective envelopes (i.e. a-i for number 1, were all put in an envelope marked 1). I have mild OCD, so you can just stack yours grin

For your last question, you don't need any copies (unless you want the original doument returned to you- so, only attach two copies of birth certs, marriage certs, and whatever else may be important to you). You also don't need to go with these docs to TLS, just go with your passport, appointment confirmation print out and your application form. All docs should be sent to your wife who will send to sheffield.
