nemesis8u: I know the Emiratis.... are suffering from too much money down syndrome but they wouldn't want to jeopardise the relationship they have with the Russians because the Americans are not that reliable. Today you are friends tomorrow you are no more, next tomorrow is sanctions upon sanctions and any other countries that dares to sell might be sanctioned as well. Only Russians and the Chinese got the balls to dare them. |

jpphilips:I don't know what point you're trying to make. The fact is glaring for everyone to see, the villages being rampaged are carried out by militant herdsmen. If you ask where herdsmen keep their cattles during invasion then you also have to ask where multinational oil coys keep their expatriates when tension escalates with host communities. That being said you can go to YouTube and look for a documentary done by TVC on villages raided by bandits and listen to eye witness account. Also if you had listen to channels 10pm news yesterday, a reporter covered the incident in Taraba, old women gave account on how their communities where raided and their people killed mindlessly they mentioned "fulanis". A time will come when innocent Fulanis will be hunted or stereotyped by every ethnic group because of the activities of the bad elements amongst them. There is serious problem in the land and only a patriotic individual will say the truth in order to seek solutions irrespective of whose ox it gores. You won't feel the heat till a close relative fall victims to this senseless violence. OBJ talked about the activities of these marauders and everyone was lambasting him. Again I ask for how long shall we continue to play the Ostrich? 5 Likes |

bidex111: Unfortunately nothing is black and white What will Russia do for them ? Buy their oil ? Russia already has its own . Weapons many countries can supply , no shortage. Emiratis r the ones in the driver seat since they r the ones with lots of dollars and options. Buyer is always in a privileged position compared to seller and if there r multiple suppliers then the buyer is the king. Russia needs dollars, not the emiratis so they will play along. As for balls , everybody has balls problem is one has only 1 single pair of balls , non replaceable so who is desperate enough to loose their balls for somebody half way across the world ? 2 Likes 1 Share |

I disagree, regardless of how much money they have, if they are transferring weapons or hardware against the rules of their purchase, then most countries will stay away from them, that make you a bad sport.. Imagine if they buy arms from the US and gift it to the Taliban for example, you want to tell me the US will then sell advanced weapons system to them again? They will be painted as unreliable and irresponsible, money isn't everything. Any serious seller who doesn't want their arms falling into the wrong hands will shun them nemesis8u: |

ugo4u: You think you are speaking the truth? you are selling confusion premeditated by narratives sold to you by your likes, I've seen more Hausa herdsmen than Fulani, infact Berom cattle is more popular in some areas than the fulani cattle, now tell us, where does the Hausa, Kanuri, Igala herdsmen fit in this "Fulani herdsmen" narrative? The problem we know is a climate change issue affecting every herdsman including PMB, so I wonder why only the fulas are fighting for survival of their cattle while others are not? Everywhere in west Africa they are called "herdsmen" apparently because of their ties with cattle, only in Nigeria and very few places do we hear "Fulani herdsmen", does their tribe really make a difference in the drought crisis they are facing? Don't you think that the reason you haven't solved this problem is because of the sentiments you robbed all over it? You are Igbo, Evans was an "Igbo kidnapper" in Lagos a yoruba town, I have never heard any igbo man refer to Evans as an "igbo Kidnapper", how "fulani herdsmen" makes sense to you is what i can't phantom. Does that make Evans less of a kidnapper? We know Boko haram ranks are swollen with Kanuri boys, i have never heard "Kanuri boko haram" why is "fulani herdsmen" so important in our lexicon? does that make sense? we know there is serious drought in the lower sahel so herdsmen comprising of fulani, Gao, Hausa, Kanuri, igala etc are moving down south for pasture, Most Ansaru & FLN sahel fighters are Fulas, we know the herdsmen, Hausa, igala, fulani contract them to escort their cattle through farming routes because we know the farmers are waiting with loaded guns and machete to stop their animals from grazing on their farms, you can see both sides are fighting for survival. The contracted Sahel terrorists are those causing the mayhem, they are far from being herdsmen, I have never seen their pics here or elsewhere with cattles, the very few times they were found with cattles, the cattles were reported stolen. You can't be herding 100 cows, then abandon it to sack a village, does that even make sense? the only reason you conviniently rubbed them with the same brush is because most of them are fulanis, that's all. Now, the last Ecowas protocol on this conflict recommended all west African states to provide grazing fields/reserves/ranch/colonies whichever nomenclature suits you better for the herdsmen, this recommendation was born out of the fact that Ecowas views "Drought" as a natural disaster as such the herdsmen dont deserve to be stranded, i share that sentiment too. I believe both the farmers & herders deserve to be saved if not for anything for their economic importance as sources of food, the food crisis experienced in Nigeria today is a direct consequence of this rascality. Our Agriculture minister came home and told us the same thing partly working in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mali & Senegal, people like you rejected that proposal, some of you were so callous to ask the herdsmen to buy the lands, meanwhile, down south when flooding occurs (a natural disaster), government provide billions in funds for compensation and relocation, in this case, the herdsmen were left OYO, the consequence of that inhumanity is a bigger inhumanity called "murder" The same people that discouraged their state governors from providing that land, rejected FG proposal for peace are the same running to the FG for protection , an over stretched FG fighting 4 intl terror groups and a dozen local militia? sense is truly not common in this part of the world. Nigerians have no clue how or when to draw a line between global/regional emergencies and their tribal skirmishes. only the fittest shall survive!! 3 Likes |

Sizzorkay: Not trying to prove u wrong but for the sake of conversation. Everything is case specific to a certain degree. I did not generalized overtly but explained to a extent vis a vis Russia and Emirates. The point u made regarding Taliban is like dancing before a hungry tiger. There r limits to who and to what degree one can choose to antagonise. German laws strickly forbade third party transfer of weapons , but still they r being rerouted for civilian war in Yemen . Did Germany give a fucck when it came out in the open ? Neither did France nor UK not US. Why because their interests r not threatened and they want to keep their sales. Chinese don't give a Bleep where their arms end up, East European countries , Spain , Portugal neither , Russians , US and almost everybody neither provided it does not threaten their interests. During Bosnian conflict we detected Pa...... buying billion dollars of weapons both East and west , we were worried naturally , turned out the then Malaysian PM a jihadi nutjob had siphoned his own governments funds , around 2-3 billions and send them to Pa..... to buy weapons for covert supply to the Bosnian conflict, It was a warcrime and a Pa....... ISI general was indicted by international war crimes tribunal , but what happened everything go brushed under the carpet becz that would have indicated major western countries, they knew were the arms were going to end up and did nothing , since their interests were aligned to one side of the Bosnian conflict , do u realise how many international laws were broken ? supplying arms for a genocide. So rules and laws r like prostitutes , u sleep with them but u don't marry them. Got my gist ? Money isnt everything ? Lol money is everything Strategic interests / goals , geopolitical maneuvering / posturing , convergence / divergence of interest etc etc all converge to one and only goal - MONEY Again ain't saying u r wrong , u might be right , but from were I am seeing it it ain't right ( maybe becz I have dealt in this shiiit in some way or the other however small ) 5 Likes |

jarell: Sure because you haven't heard of igbo herdsmen before but you buy Igbo cow breed, who raised them? , relax, you noisemakers know very little about Nigeria, visit the Nigerian agricultural archive and check the list of cow breeds we have and where they originate from to get an idea what i'm talking about. You buy igbo cattle breed in the market those short horned cattle and white/black goats, because you dont see them roaming around you think their herders dont exist? wait till the drought in the lower Sahel gets to the Savanna lets see how many of you will run. it is so unfortunate Nigeria is presently cursed with a generation that can't think beyond mundane things. This generation is not designed to solve any problem, they just muddle it with religion & Ethnicity then go home and blame the president or whoever they think deprived them of critical thinking, damn you guys!! |
