Hello my people, once again we shall gather to do something great. I will be posting pictures of all the gates I can find and their prices, I shall also be showing us fence styles, the costs and sizes and additional issues like style of fence/gate for different house styles, barbed wires for protection of burglaries on top of fences and any thing associated with the exterior of the compound. I wont like to clutter my threads with gates because it shall be off the real topic of building the house in question, besides gates and fences are a big topic on its own.

The idea for this thread came up after my friend whom I helped to buy a land asked me to fence it. Please feel free to post your own ideas of your fence/gate styles and prices where possible.

Don't worry, rolling gates, sliding gates and even some gates that open like the doors of a Lamborghini will all come in here.

Did you see what I saw, I loved this fence and gate so much that I had to reverse for more than 100 meters to snap this one. I love good buildings, I will go closer next time and show this gate, and the fence is another attraction!!!

Just go into your neighborhood and look, if you find any beautiful or ugly fence or gate, just snap it and splash the pictures here for us to see and critique.

By the way, why do most Nigerians hate to plant beautiful flowers and plants in front and inside their compounds, we are so busy mixing concrete that we forget the good things of life that should prolong our lives, we are so busy building fortresses that we neglect aesthetics. Some people will build concrete structures in every space of their house so much that they don't have any space to plant flowers!

We must get this country working, somehow. We must showcase beauty and encourage quality of life, we must promote good dwellings and surroundings.
