I could bet more people die daily in Nigeria than in developed countries. When you mention competent and tribal free policing system, you know deep down that's not going to work, not with the foundation the founding fathers laid. They didn't sacrifice for the unity we crave for today and I don't see it happening anytime soon

State police/ decentralization of the existing police force will solve these issues drastically. I suggest that the Position of IGP be removed and be replaced with regional commissioner, who will be appointed by the governors of the geopolitical zones to control the activities of the police

The level of insecurity is worrisome. What we need is federal government sensitising the populace on how to use the gun after legalising it. They should tell people what would happen , should they abuse it.
