He is Ijaw from ESA ODO,river line area of the state. They bear such names.
He is not original Yoruba protegy.

Stop saying what you don't know with so much confidence. Lucky Aiyedatiwa is not Ijaw and he's not from Ese-Odo. He's an Ilaje man from Ilaje LGA in Ondo state. Ilajes are a Yoruba sub-group both culturally and linguistically. There are some of them who are indigenous to Lagos state too like former governor Ambode. They trace their origin to Ile-Ife like other Yoruba sub-groups. The only truth in what you said is that he's from a riverine community which makes them traditionally fishermen. They only share close affinity with Arogbo-Ijaws and Ijaw-Apoi (Sowore's place) in Ese-Odo LGA, the Ikales in Okitipupa and Irele LGAs and Itserikis in Delta state.

If accepting gifts is bribe, then the UK police should also be charged for same. They accept donations, attend private parties with gifts given, the childrens attend well funded government school on scholarship from private citizens, etc. If she is corrupt, trace her act with bypassing process, money launding, theft, etc.

Do you even know the difference between a gift and a bribe? Even when it was clearly written in the article that she accepts these your so called "gifts" in exchange of issuing oil and gas contracts to her "gifters", you're still asking this kind of question. Why are Nigerians like this?

This is an attack on freedom speech.

Can't we hold the judiciary accountable any longer?

Is it a lie that all eyes are on the Judiciary?

This government is getting sadder by the day.

Saying all eyes are on the judiciary is good enough, but going further to dictate to them the kind of judgement you want isn't holding them accountable but clearly blackmailing them emotionally. What message does the words: "Well meaning Nigerians are in court to reclaim our mandate" as written in those billboards pass across to the judiciary? They're telling the judiciary to upturn the results of the election.

The billboard didn't say they should declare Obi as winner. So, how did you see it as a threat to the government?

Is your conscience pricking you that tinubu was rigged into office?

What do the words: "Well meaning Nigerians are in court to reclaim our mandate" as written in those billboards mean to you?

judgement going against anyone isn't the issue bt the judiciary doing the right thing and following the constitution.

all eyes on the judiciary mean the judiciary should follow the law and justice by following the law.

that is not a threat

They didn't stop at saying all eyes are on the judiciary in those billboards. They clearly stated what would be acceptable to them only from the judiciary - which is reclaiming their mandate. They're clearly dictating to the judiciary. That's a threat.

Preempt?!!... Is it that you don't know what that word really means?!!

What is preemptive or blackmailing about urging a critical sector of the nation's leadership to be incorruptible and honest?!!

These words were clearly written in those billboards: "Well meaning Nigerians are in court to reclaim our mandate". This is not a call to be incorruptible and honest, but rather dictating to the judiciary the kind of judgement they're expecting from them, which is to upturn the results INEC declared. That's a clear emotional blackmail.

in this country, called Nigeria. I have come to the belief. That there is no smoke without fire.

If it's not true, give evidence. It's simple. The truth will definitely set you free.

All this use of DSS will generate alot of hate, which is unhealthy for the unity of this country.

Worst was said, to Goodluck, by this same APC, and Goodluck never used the military or DSS to intimidate anyone. Even once, he never did.

These are the same politicians treated like third class citizens abroad. Playing demigod in Nigeria.

The unity of this country is getting close to dividing. Tinubu was never voted for. Even by the yoruba youths. This is an abuse on the constitution.

Goodluck was a public servant, the President, same as Buhari and Tinubu. Did you see any of the other 2 people also arrest people because they were insulted? Definitely not. They know how these things work because they're in public service. But Fashola since 29th May 2023 has become a private citizen like you and me, and so you can't hide under the cloak of saying he's in public office to say all manner of rubbish against him without proofs. Just the same way Emeka Offor and Eniola Badmus both private citizens arrested their defamers, is Fashola entitled to do same especially for allegations as grave as these. At least the likes of David Hundeyin and Jackson Ude (the originator of this Fashola story) were smart enough to dish out their stuffs from "safe" havens, out of immediate reach from Nigerian institutions like the DSS unlike this Reporta blogger who remained here in Nigeria to defame people.

My prayer is Ecowas leaves Niger alone to do whst it wants, bcus if they return Bazoum back the people of Niger go come vex for Nigeria. Make boko haram no come double oo

What I don't understand is that Bazoum is a democratic president that was voted in because he got the majority of votes of Nigeriens. His election was not controversial like that of Tinubu in Nigeria, meaning he was fairly popular. Why are they then suddenly celebrating his ouster by the junta, as if he was imposed on them in the first place? These things aren't adding up.

I can't blame Tinubu for that. How would you give multiple slots to a people that outrightly reject and hate you? He knows even if he gives the South East 20 slots, they'll still hate and malign him. So what's the point? Any reasonable person will consolidate on the places where he's accepted, won or got meaningful votes, which is why he especially gave multiple slots to the North West zone. It's simply politics of consolidation.

I'm not a tribal bigot, Amobode name should have been on that list if this man was serious.

Umahi should resign from the Senate and face his ministerial job, or better still tell the APC Nigeria president to give someone else who he deem fit his ministerial slot.

Imagine Metawalle and Oyetola a minister?
Who curse Nigeria self?

What exactly is wrong with Oyetola being a minister please? A man who distinguished himself both in private and public service isn't good enough to be minister?

Jagaban, even though I supported your emergence, you have no moral standing to start preaching about subsidy removal. It was you who for political reasons frustrated efforts by then President GEJ in 2012 to remove the subsidy you're calling fraudulent now. Imagine the amount of money from the subsidy scam that would have saved since 2012 till now and want it could have achieved for this country. Instead you led people on the streets to frustrate that patriotic gesture by GEJ. The least you can do first is to publicly apologise to Jonathan and Nigerians for your earlier stance on subsidy but you pretended like you did nothing wrong and you're preaching to us now how subsidy is scam and has to go.
