I need information on Russia?
1.Pls when is resumption for academic session Russia
2. How much does Russian Govt pay PhD on Russian quota scholarship?
3. Does PhD undergo the same preliminary studies with undergraduate and Master?
4. Does PhD resumed anytime or it must be the sane time like others?

If you didn't do your undergraduate degree in russia, then you are not applicable for FSB bea russian phd/masters degree scholarship

Ok snow30, so anytime from now till next month...we Russia candidates should get our fones switched on...
Buh do u know how many applicants that was chosen for Russia UG last yr??

60 in total where finally nominated by the russian government.....but about 120 where nominated for interview by fsb
Education / Re: FG Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Scholarship Awards 2017/2018 by Snow30: 5:58pm On Mar 17, 2017
Guys guys, hold your horses....that was probably a typographical error, they meant february 17th as it has always been for past years.....look up and see what is written "interview is from February 13th to FEBRUARY 17th"..... which means they meant February 17th not march......collation of result is just the day they start marking scripts or organize results of scripts they have marked.....

As i said before, Fsb will ONLY CALL SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS, THEY WON'T CALL NON SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS..... Also, different countries have different calling times, not all at once...

But also, SUCCESSFUL russian applicants should expect a call anytime from now, i BELIEVE your call should be this month or first week of april IF EVERYTHING GOES ACCORDING TO SCHEDULE, cause interview is always on april FOR RUSSIAN APPLICANTS..... which is already on the nigerian-russian embassy website

If you didn't receive an email from University of Toronto on 3 March then consider your application unsuccessful cause all successful candidates were contacted last week.

Do you come home yearly or after the programme??
Lastly, are we going to be staying in d school hostel or private apartment??
Thanks
Looking 4ward to ur reply kiss

omg.... guy chill....you have not even been nominated by fsb, you haven't gone for the interview in Abuja, Russia hasn't even gotten your name or info yet....you still have a long while!!!!! I traveled in November 2016

Also, getting 44/60 doesn't guarantee anything , although it is a good score, okay score it doesn't guarantee anything.....what matters is the people from your state, NOT LOCAL GOVERNMENT.....FSB, will nominate the highest from each state, and if 10 people from your state have 50/60, upwards your 44/60 is usless...so pray, your score in exam matters too....

Although i will advice you to ONLY get your International passport ready, incase if fsb nominates you..... because even if they don't nominate you, an international passport is very important for other reasons not only for scholarships......Russia won't also select you finally if you don't have an international passport.

Good luck

What does it mean?
Education / Re: Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Scholarship Awards - 2017/2018 by Snow30: 4:56pm On Jan 28, 2017
Ubermind:
Let me tell everybody secrets of bea scholarship for UG applicants today, so, you'll know your chances and get prepared more. The whole selection process is based on 100% marks. Your waec will be 60 marks, the interview test is 40 questions, hence 40 marks. 60+40=100.

How will my waec produce 60 marks?

That's simple. The apex waec grade is a1 then B2, B3, C4... etc.

So, If you have a1 in chemistry, that's 12 marks, if you have B2 that's 10 marks, if you have B3 that's 8 marks.....and so on.
They will consider only your 5 subjects including English and Maths. So if you are lucky to have all a1, that means 5 a1's, then 12x5=60! If you are Albert Einstein and you pass the test 40/40 that's 100%.....Scholarship direct!

Let me illustrate further...
For Science Applicant, they'll consider English, Maths, Chem, Pzics and Biology. So assume this is your result:
English=B3,
Chem=B3,
Pzics=a1,
Bio=a1, and
Maths=C4.

So it means 8+8+12+12+6 which will give 46. When you take the test and score 30: that means 46+30=76%. Unless if there several gurus who applied from your state, with this score you have 95% chance to be called. (The remaining 5% lies on you providing required documents)

Note: sometime you'll have all docs and score big, but still not called, that simply means there are several gurus from your state who applied or you didn't meet one crucial criterion.

Note2: Normally, the host state (where the test take place) and have high applicants, so if the test is in your state this year, your chances are slim, nonetheless, don't loose faith.

Note3: failure to provide one of the compulsory (*) document is almost similar to not applying, even if you score well.

So, everybody can use the above analysis to analyse his/her result and read hard to score big in the test. Wish all Bros and Sis Success.

Yes exactly, waec carries 60 marks and thr exam carries 40 marks all together is 100
A1=12
B2=10
B3=8
C4=6
C5=4
C6=2
D7,E8,F9=0

Now it is tricky, your waec result is very crucial carries more weight than the exam...but even if you have 60 marks in your waec and you fail your exam, let's say 25/40 or lower, you might not be selected because, the exam is so easy that they will think thwt you cheated in your waec result..... if you score very high in the exam maybe 40/40 and you have a very low waec, maybe all Cs, few Bs and plenty Ds..they won't also select you, because the host country will definetely still reject you and of course your waec is bad...the host country uses your waec.....so if ypu want a good shot, your waex must be okay or good and score at least 35/40 in the exam

But another issue is, everything determines on the people from your state....if you score 85/100, and 10 other people score 90/100...am sorry but you know what it means.... so that is why try as much as possoble to do very well in your exam... your exam will decide you, because you can't change ypur waec result ....what is done is done

......Hello snow30......I've been trying to reach you.....Please i have two questions to ask...Firstly, I got 3 A's, and 6 B's in my WAEC and I'll just be 17 by September but I look much older, please what are my chances of getting the scolarship.....Secondly, I sat for the 2016/2017 WAEC and the WAEC original Certificate has not yet been sent to my WAEC Center, please I want to know if I can take the statement to result issued to me by my school to the center of the scholarship Exams

Sorry, I've been busy lately.....good result tho.

Well, you havea very good chance, right now you don't need your waec certificate, your statement of redult will suffice. But try to get it before the oral interview, which will be in April/late March for Russian applicants, those that passed the exam and were nominated.....it will save you a lot of stress, because for me i didn't even have mine during the oral interview, it was by God's grace that during September the Russian govt still called me asked me to submit it because i had veen selected...so who knows if they will still be kind this way again....all the same good luck...i will try to reply your email
