The organisers were slow in starting the event, the had some challenges, like : the absence of a DJ and a sound system.

Which led to a raging audience due to the poor arrangement and organization of the event ,some people had to leave the event early because of the bad timing and organization.

One of the organisers, Zion, asked our event admin and bloggers for assistance for the services of a DJ. After all efforts ,most DJs were busy at their respective events.

Music/Radio / Here Are Some Reasons Why Jtown Music Artistes Don't Make It. by thenaijaface: 10:45pm On Nov 27, 2017
The music industry is a booming industry with many players in the industry. The old ones still there and while the young ones are still striving hard to get to the top.

Actually, I'm a big fan of music because music is part of me. I like hip hop, gospel, reggae, blues and Afro beats. Since I have been in Jtown for some years now I have come to discover Jos city is blessed with a lot talents.

So I desire to write this piece of article why Jtown artistes don't make it.

1. Following same pattern

Majority of Jtown artistes follow same style or gene of music. Everyone wants to be a Rapper like; Ice Prince, MI, Jesse Jags etc. They keep on following same pattern, instead of them to look for unique pattern to follow.

2. Lack of music quality

Some Jtown artistes don't what matter sacrifices or risk you need to take before you become a music star. Some of this artistes will go to a cheap producer to produced trash and called it a song. They will be raise shoulders claiming they are artistes.

3. Everyone wants be a Rapper

Rap music has become a popular gene of music most Jtown artistes do follow. Some of artistes will be copying lyrics and also the sound track just to impress everyone. Not everyone is called to a rapper instead they want force themselves.

4. Paying peanuts to bloggers

Most artistes will spend 20,30,40 and so on to produced a song, after the song has been produced they will quickly look for a near by blogger with N500 to promote their songs believing they did a good job by giving the blogger N500 to promote.

Politics / Voter's Card And The Unending Wait by thenaijaface: 2:14pm On Sep 20, 2017
As announced by the Federal Government of Nigeria, it's important that every citizen at the age of 18 and above is required and has the right to vote, following the civil right in the constitution.

In regards to the information that the exercise is intended to enable citizens who are of age as well as those who the did not register in the last exercise to take part in the next, people have locked up shops and put a hold to businesses and day-to-day activities in other to fulfill this.

At some registration centers, the condition is quite bad so to speak. On a list where there are about twenty or more names, hardly are over three to four people attended to before the day runs out.

This is due to the fact that some people come from the sides, bypassing those who are queued up and are attended to. Meanwhile, the reason given for the delay is a breakdown in gadgets or malfunction or shortage of power supply.

In some cases, the people who are there to register have to put money together and fix the problem in order to achieve the purpose of their coming.

There's a saying of first come, first serve. Those who came first be attended to and the process will be fast and hitch free.

Change begins with the individual, let's do things right and join hands to build a better Nigeria!!

President Muhammadu Buhari is worried about the storm of strikes in the nation and will do the needful to guarantee industrial agreement, his Media Adviser Femi Adesina, revealed to Channels Television the previous evening yesterday.

He was reacting to the strike by resident doctors and the progressing strike by universities lecturers.

He told his interviewer: “Yes, the President is the captain of the team but, then, he has so many other people working with him, who we can say will be the first line of defense when it comes to things like this.

For the doctors, it is the Minister of Health first, and that will be done in conjunction with the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, who fortunately also is a medical doctor.

“Of course, for ASUU, you know there is a Minister of Education and that is being done along with the Minister of Labour.
So that is the first line of engagement. I think the President is the very last line of engagement.

“But knowing that the President is the captain of the ship, his interest will be that there is peace and tranquillity in every sector of the economy. So, the needful will be done.

“Naturally, the President will be concerned because he is here to ensure that every sector of the polity, every Nigerian, gets the best from the polity.

“Naturally, he should be concerned if there are gales of strikes all around and he will do the best through his aides, through the ministers and those that have been appointed to be the first point of contact on these things. The best will be done”

Celebrities / Comparing Me To Olamide, Phyno Is A Compliment – MI Abaga by thenaijaface: 3:21pm On Aug 26, 2017
Nigerian Rapper, M.I has said it is a compliment to be compared to younger artistes like Phyno, Olamide and Ice Prince.

The Rapper who was interview with Punch said as he gets older, he decided to stop singing about some certain subjects.

He said, “I am ten years in the industry since my first song came out in Lagos in 2007 because that’s when Crowd Mentality was released. It is an ultimate compliment for me to be compared with the likes of Olamide, Phyno, Ice Prince and others that came out after me.

If you think about my first five years, I was really hot but as you get older, you get tired of saying some things. It is very hard for me to write a song about being in the club. If you hear some certain artistes sing about being in the club, you would say that you’d prefer a younger artiste to sing about that,” he said.

On why it took years before releasing another body of works, he said,
“The truth about it is that the CEO work has been harder than I thought and it has taken a lot of time from me. Also, when you become a brand, you have brand commitments as well. My contract with Glo expired this year even though I have been working with them for seven years and I had been their ambassador for five years.

We had to go for interviews, tours, shoot commercials, then you come back and you do the same thing for Martel. Then, I have friends that would want you to feature in their concerts. So, as a brand, it became tougher. Once an artiste gets to the point where he becomes a brand, it becomes tougher for him.

“I have about five projects in my heart that I want to do because I am getting older and once I am done with that I would probably leave,” he said.

“He has dumped them in the trash can where they belong. There is nothing they can do to have him, all efforts are futility, he has moved on. Any record label that cannot move on after an artiste dumps them is a failure.
