This good DC electricity is now passed through a regulator of 5v that produces pure DC for your phone to charge. This is how it happens even if you use an inverter that produces square wave. Generator has got noting to do with your battery.
Your battery will get bad when you are using it while charging it because of heat and you shaking the cord input to the charging port that Sparks.
