gosj: Any body boarding the Oando flight shud loosen his sealt belt bcoz some bad guyz just off-loaded their everlasting luggage and the plane is realy fatiqued by monumental loan servicing. As you enjoy the loot, dont lose sight of your b/stop plz.
As for Unity bank, abeg i no get liver to lose money jaree. Am too young 4 heart-attack. This one that new buyers of the coy are emerging everyday, we shud be very cautious plz.
Transcorp will make so many rich b/w now and feb., so just enjoy the loot while it lasts. Those that missed it shud prepare 4 it next year. The mgt of Transcorp is using PR to boost the stock rally, saying so many things now which they wud want to do next year.
Livestock wants to meet up with its elder Agric bros i.e Okomu and Presco, dont miss the rally if you have the money now and same goes for Eterna oil.
I hope this will not be like the NEM prophesy.

U BETTER TAKE POSITION NW BC THEN EVEN UR STOCKBROKER MAY NOT EVEN WANT TO BUY 4 U! YES IT WILL B BUSSY BUYING 4 ITSELF.
Just a reminder it will pass 100

NESTLE IS STILL VERY CHEAP AT 1000s.
Come with me as I prove it using using what I call 'comparison formula(cf)'. I actually derived it using the inverse of the formula for dividend yield(dy).
In case u dont know, dy = dividend(d)/share price(sp).

Therefore inverse dy or 1/dy = sp/d.
Cf = (sp/d)x full yr dividend of the company in question(nestle). I hope u r followiny?

Using this formula we r goin 2 compare the ave sp of those 3 stock in thesame sector with that of nestle.

1. Cadbury sp = N58.90K, D = 50K, 1/DY = 58.90/0.5 = 118.
0
2. Flourmill sp = N83.06K, D = N1.60K/2(paid 2012 i.e 2 yrs), 1/dy = 83.06/0.8 = 108.

3. NNFM SP = N24.37K, D = 90K/3 (Paid 2011 ie 3yrs), 1/dy = 24.37/0.3 = 81.

Ave 1/dy = (118+108+81)/3 = 102.

Therefore the fair price of nestle = 102x20 = N2040. Hint the fyd of nestle was N20.

Now going by the calibre of company nestle is, it should be selling at far above its far price. If I am to fix, I will fix it somewhere between N5,000 and N10,000.

Bros in stock trading, some time u trade like novice to hit it big since u are not trading on a borrowed money. If i was in the train when the Ibori Wahala was on and i didnt panic, why wound i sell now that the COP deal is getting close. Some offloaded Transcorp when the price hit 1.94, check the volume traded on 04/10/2013 but today what is Transcorp price?

Please break this down for us, what is the current earning of Nestle, what is the average growth rate of the earning in the last 3 years, what is the PE ratio of Nestle, based on the growth rate of the earnings what type of earnings are we expecting from Nestle.

You will be better of investing in real estate, that buying Nestle at the current price. PE of about 40 and dividend yield of less than 1.5%.

This is my layman's view, but we can debate and learn from each other.

Using your formula, what is the value of First Bank. FBN is currently selling for N16.50 or thereabout, paid dividend of N1.00 in 2012. The dividend yield is about 6.25%

This is the ABSOLUTE truth! Not just with stocks but in life generally.
Ask those who read Mathematics at tertiary level and they will tell you how confused they are right now in the world. Their differentiation and integration jargon ended in the classroom. They have not found a place to integrate or differentiate in real life.

Why should I use my money to BUY a stock selling at N1000 when I can easily make millions buying penny stocks. A stock selling at N1000 will only make 100% profit when it hits N2000 but if you buy a stock at N1.00, when the stock hits N2.00, your 100% is made, and this happens easily within a shorter time.

Any way, one man's beautiful, is another man's nonsense.

You've sounded like my formal stockbroker which firm now defunct. In 2008 when I wanted to buy N300,000 worth of Nestle at N100/unit he ask me similar question when ll nestle get to N200 ..... I finally bought 200units of Nestle worth with N20,000+ & and with his advice I pured the rest into the so call 'peny' stock e.g capoil etc. Two weeks later SEC suspended most of them freed some after 1 week, in 2day it became the turn NSE to delist them..... The remaining 1s have remain at their car park ever since e.g capoil from N13 to 50k others died natural death e.g finbank to mention a few. But my N2000+ Nestle has recovered 4 me all my loses via price appreciation, bonuses & dividends a has also made more profits 4 me. What killed the stockbroking firm? 'peny' stocks..... Gud luck 'mr pany stocks'.
