I'm not trying to justify adultery with the maid but how many folks on this thread actually married? Some married ladies actually think that once the guy is hooked in marriage, he is hooked forever.

Cheating isn't justifiable quite all right but the spouse being cheated on should make sure their inexcusable, cos some have issues like home management, personal hygiene et all. Imagine someone with body odour whose spouse finds it difficult to tell him/her just to avoid quarrels, they become less attractive to their spouses cos of this, so if they find comfort in a hygienic maid, they'll justify their actions.
