Yea, they tend to Choke when it matters remember what happened in 2013 even with Drogba, Yaya, eboue on the pitch? We will beat them again if we meet but pound for pound in certain positions, they're better than US.

You tried but you really need to go back to Football school. Kessie is a DM and he sits for Ndidi. Finito.
It doesn't work that way boy. Select the best 3 midfielders between ivory coast and Nigeria midfielders and you're comparing 2 of the best for 1 position. You my dear Makes no sense at all at all.

Hahahahahahaha... This is why I say you need to learn football. Best possible players that do not fit into the tactical shape of the team?? So a coach must play with just names and not check balance abi?? Hahahahahahaha... I just tire for some of your takes. Absolutely diabolical. Lol

In that case, Nigeria should play Onuachu, Simy and Osimhen in a three man attack. Hahahahahahaha... Rubbish reasoning.
Nope, best possible players in their designated Roles. Midfilders are competing with midfielders, Strikers vs Strikers Wingers vs Wingers Simple. You make Absolutely no sense whatsoever in this case or you're just trying to play ignorant. In a midfield quo of Ndidi, kessie, Aribo, Seri, Iwobi a coach ask you to select the best 3 and you make 2 of the best compete for 1 position?? Makes no sense at all at all

I wonder why you lots love to sound half as smart when you aren't. It is Ndidi vs Kessie. And Kessie will be eating Dust where Ndidi stands. Kessie sits for Ndidi. No one mentioned Aribo x Kessie. Tu Comprends?? Goal post shifting is a disease.
you're making no sense at all Fam absolutely no sense. When selecting a combined 11, you're selecting the best possible players among everyone not individually. For example, if there's a midfield options of Ndidi aribo iwobi kessie seri and a coach ask you to select the best 3, you don't compare the best 2 among the list for a position, instead you select the best possible 3 midfielders in the entire list.

Even our king ndidi might not be overall better than kessie or his marginally better. A CDM that has 9 league goals in the top 3 league in the world common. Individually their players are rated higher than us but collectively Nigeria will beat this present ivory coast. (My opinion) our headache now are Senegal and Algeria

If he is fearing for his safety it shouldn't be at SE expense because we can't afford to drop a performing player for Him. The fact that our press isn't even questioning Rohr for lying to our face regarding Musa feels like they have been compromised

To be honest, I really wait to see what our first list for the FIFA WCQs first two matchdays will look like in two months' time.
Rohr would want to reward Simy's form, I believe, but again he has a decision to make. Drop Onuachu for Simy?? Or invite Four strikers?? Ignore SADIQ Umar or Moffi for Simy?? These are the decisions he must navigate.

Simy is doing really well and it must be said that his form is excellent.
On the back of this form, he deserves an invite and I am one for rewarding players who show really great form most especially in the top 5 leagues. But again, I am also one who stands for bringing in players who tactically expand the quality and depth of the team.
So on one hand, I agree Simy's form deserves Invite and on the other hand, I am also looking at the tactical significance of his invite. Inviting him and using him would mean Onuachu would have to take a rest and that is also another difficult decision to make considering Onuachu's recent goalscoring form for the Super Eagles.

Let time tell. Until then, Simy's form deserves Celebration coz he is one of our own. Like I always say, let us bask in the depth of our attacking options. It is an awesome thing.
to me its an easy decision because he can invite 4 strikers due to the fact that our most inform players are strikers and especially as Rohr always invite 11 defenders

He played for us in 2018 that's 3 years ago. Alot can change in 3 years. Also, we're not saying that he should be a guaranteed starter all we're saying is that In form players should take precedence over out of form players. You can omit simy and include Musa makes no sense.

One of my favorites is Iheanacho. And you also walked in here attacking any post talking down on Iheanacho. Infact, you also ignorantly attacked my post where I named Onuachu alongside Nacho as a possible replacement for Osimhen in any case Vic doesn't make it for the Qualifiers.

So this shows you have a thing for Iheanacho as a fav of yours, yet that doesn't stop me from coming for you.

And yes, the quality of our national team will keep improving as long as our players play consistently in the Best leagues of the topmost quality but that in itself does not mean we cannot have fine quality outside the Big 5 leagues of Europe. Take for instance, Onuachu.
Even Simy bagged 20 goals in Serie B last season and some didn't consider it a thing because it is "second division" but here he is proving it even more that his goals are no fluke having 15 in the current Serie A.
So while the bulk of our NT quality is centered around lads balling good in the Top 5 leagues, we can also have sprinkles of quality talents from outside the Top 5. Players like Zaidu for instance in a league ranked #6 in Europe. Would you not rate him because he is not in the Big 5 yet?

So you really need to find a balanced take on this "farmers league" song you always sing the time when trying to analyse our players. Finito.
This is the criteria to rank our players

1) Name of the club
2) Name of the league.

I used name of the club because there are Historical big clubs that are in farmers league or even the beat team in farmers league. I.e Ajax, Porto, benfica, Bayern, Dortmund etc those teams are even bigger than migrated teams in Farmers league. For example, I will rather a Nigerian play for Fc Porto than WBA, Fulham even though the latter is at a Farmers league

Why won't we learn? Simy and Onuachu are two of the same striker kind. Would it actually be wise tactically to have two forwards of very similar styles in the Super Eagles in the presence of the abundance of varying Striker species we have in Europe?

SADIQ is Different from both Onuachu and Simy. Simy and Onuachu are practically similar strikers. And Osimhen is obviously cut from a different cloth in the Strikers' realm.

Iheanacho also is Different in that he is a number 8. A Deeplying forward. A hybrid striker.

From my tactical viewpoint, it is far more profitable to go with strikers that offer you Different styles to expand our attacking depth's dynamism rather than having two of the same.

So sometimes, top scoring in a league may not be enough. We have to also look at the tactical side of things. Remember the case of Giroud and Lacazette. Laca had the goals more than Giroud but the latter was the best fit in France's tactical set-up.
Look, every team should play to its strengths and right now, SE strengths is center forward. Our coach must find a way to include all inform players in his Squad. It doesn't make Sense when a player has 15 Goals in Seria A and is being omitted in the same league that a player has 4 goals and this isn't a farmers league but The Big 3.
15 Goals in Seria A (big 3) and you aren't good enough for your Country? Common

Look mister... Don't be such a hypocrite. As far as I can tell, you are one of the selectively biased analysts with your "farmers league" rants every now and then. So swerve. Nansense!! grin
You're one of the few people that I like and respect here so I will be respectful. I totally disagree that my take has been indirect because from day 1, I have placed Nigerian footballers ahead of anyone else. I don't have any relatives or favorites so me being biased to anyone is False. One thing I absolutely despise is analyst giving selective treatment to Certain players and if you have been following me since I visited this site, you will notice. Another stance of mine is that the quality and team that our boys perform at is very important because that's how you differentiate boys from men. Lastly, one thing I have noticed here is that you guys always choose to attack anyone that has an opposing view on your favorites

Musa should have no business in the super eagles till he gets a decent club

I don’t care if he is the captain ,dude should be dropped immediately

And once he gets a club he should be in good form to be invited
Yes, Musa has to go until he finds a club. Wth SE isn't a rehabilitation center and if Musa cannot find a club, then he has to go. Enough is enough! I feel like our press isn't questioning Rohr selection enough that's why he keep getting away with lying to our face. Guardiola has been left impressed by the brilliant performances of Iheanacho over the last few weeks and explained why he parted company with the striker four years ago.

"Incredible. The quality was there, he was a young player here and I believe in that moment with Gabriel and Sergio we didn't have much space," Guardiola said at the pre-match press conference.

"He is a fantastic person, we had a good relationship together so I'm delighted that it's going well lately.

"He's playing for the injured Maddison and of course he links really well with the midfield and he's good in behind.

"He's fast and in the final third he has the right tempo, he's so clear in front of the goal".

Since leaving the Citizens, Iheanacho has faced them seven times in all competitions - losing six and winning just once in the reverse Premier League fixture in September 2020.

Anayo has 2 options if he stays at the local league, he will remain eligible for the Quota system "homebase selection" and will keep getting a call up but if he moves abroad now to a backwater league he will now be competing against the likes of Ejuke, S moses, Kalu, Ademola lookman, Emmanuel Dennis and he isn't better than any of them. Another option for him is to refine his Game as an Attacking midfielder aka 10. That position has less competitor in SE. Omo SE has a Generational Talent we just have to Win something
