Ok do to the recent data loss on Nairaland, a lot of info about shipping companies went away .
I decided starting the thread over again from scratch, but this time around I want to get several things straight and right. With the following in mind

1. Simplicity : To ensure new comers in the game can easily become pro’s
2. Quick referencing: To ensure that Freight company info’s can be easily referenced
3. More contribution: The previous thread I had friends who helped me move the thread forward, friends like MAYORALL , SHINAF]. thanks however I cant do this alone this time I need your contribution
4. Introduce new shipping company:
5. Remove old and un-useful freight companies
6. Joint cooperation to tackle problems associated with shipping and air freight
7. Make Shipping from China to Nigeria ease

Explanation of logistics terms

1. Way Bill: Cost of transporting goods from 1 location to another. E.g.
-If the cost of transporting cement from China to Nigeria. We can safely say waybill from china to Nigeria is $8.
-If cost of transporting goods from Lagos to Abuja is #2000 We can safely say waybill for Lagos to Abuja is #2000
2. Freight: Means Transport. We have Air Freight( well known as shipping by plane ) , Sea Freight ( known as shipping by sea)
3. Demurrage: Money paid to freight companies for storing goods not picked at a standard date. E.g if your goods arrived Nigeria today and you didn’t pick it today you went there the next day, you will pay demurrage.

Method of calculating money to pay to your shipping coy.

For example If your goods weigh let say 3.5kg. and cost of express freight. $8/kg + #450/kg.
Waybill china-to-Nigeria: $8 * 3.5= $24 * 165(assumed exchange rate)= #4620
Custom-clearance: #450 * 3.5= #1575
Total amount to be paid for 3.5kg = #6195

The same procedure applies to Normal and Express method of shipping. Same procedure applies to goods weighing less than 1

write the following details on the product
Name: YOUR FULL NAME
PhoneNo: +23481........
SellerName: Your seller Name
Weight : (write the weight of the item after packaging.)


where. Your Name is for identification by your freight company
Your PhoneNo. is what you company will use to contact you
SellerName: This is useful when you have more than 1 goods and you want to combine them
Weight: Let your seller write the weight of the item, so that your freight company will not cheat you. You may have 2kg and they will tell you 4kg. Yes those guys are thieves.
